"The very things that holds you down are going to lift you up" .. Timothy Mouse. Hi everyone and welcome to Thursday nights Up Late . So I think that's a neat little quote that can apply to many things ... But it made me wonder if you are an introvert or an extrovert? And how has that played a role in your life or profession ? Has being an introvert kept you from attending MouseWait meet ups even   More...

Oh, I am an introvert. When in Disneyland, I just can't bring myself to go to meet ups cause I'm so shy. I want t go so bad, but can't do it. I have recognized 3 Mousewaiters in Disneyland, but can't introduce myself. Drives me crazy. Hate being this way.  - disneyforme  776.8 #270 9:57PM
Oh gosh don't be so hard on yourself hon. I think after reading other comments you'll realize you're in good company and not alone in your feelings . ๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1506.8 #125 10:14PM
OK DM me your info and next time I'm in the park when you're in the park and there's   a meet up I'll meet you early in a secret hallway somewhere !!that way you can walk with me or we'll get one of the others to do it how's that? ๐Ÿ˜Š - secretagentangel  8513.1 #11 10:37PM
Oh my gosh, I'm the same way! - Witchie77  406.0 #596 10:38PM
SAA, sound like a plan! - disneyforme  776.8 #270 10:11AM
Do not feel bad as I am the same way.  I think I have recognized other MWer's but I feel kind of crazy asking if they are.  I know it sounds silly.  - Bambim44  123.1 #0 11:44PM
Doesn't sound silly at all.  - disneyforme  776.8 #270 10:55PM
too shy to comment.....psyche!  Extrovert it is!  Some times if I have too many Bayside Brews then hit the single rider line on Screamin' I feel like I'm gonna extrovert everywhere! - Voycekids  55.1 #4794 10:08PM
Bahahahaha! That kind of energy can be contagious though and that's awesome  - eviljules  1506.8 #125 10:30PM
I'm a leo. Are you trying to tell me that all of these user names are real people and not just figments of my over-active imagination? You're freaking me out. - RobnHood  188.3 #2237 10:38PM
Bahahahahaha! Yes , and all the voices in your head are real and you should start listening to them.. Do what they say ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚ - eviljules  1506.8 #125 11:29PM
Total introvert here. LIke @IDVandalSkipperCM, I don't like large crowds, but I work at a a crowded place. Outside of talking to our Guests, I'm really quiet. Almost too quiet.  - BaseballMickey  8086.6 #13 10:42PM
Quiet is actually awesome , and completely under rated, quiet men make awesome listeners , and usually nothing gets past them in their surroundings. Own that trait ๐Ÿ˜Š Besides you know people are wondering sometimes what your thinking ... Let them wonder. Lol! People don't have to be an open book ๐Ÿ‘ - eviljules  1506.8 #125 11:31PM

" A lie keeps growing and growing til it's as plain as the nose on your face "- The Blue Fairy , Pinocchio . Hello and welcome to Up Late this Thursday evening ... So have you ever told a lie? A lie to save someone's feelings ? Or to call in sick to work to go play at Disneyland ? It's a funny thing .. Even a small lie told can hurt another person and you might never know. So feel free to share a   More...

I told lots of lies when I was younger to get out of trouble. But now I don't need to because I don't care what people think I am who am and that's what I am.  - toarrispirate  511.9 #452 10:13PM

There you go ! Good answer and great attitude! It's pretty sad to see adults behave poorly because they care all too much what other people think .  - eviljules  1506.8 #125 10:35PM
Yep, that is why the people in the office don't like me. I told the truth and now they are mad at me for it. I don't care at all. - Lelundrial  820.2 #248 10:32AM
One more lie story, my friend tried and tried to get her kids on the Haunted Mansion, they weren't having it. Than she said it was the house from Up...trust issues are still being dealt with ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ - dizneedude  1826.2 #101 11:19PM
Bahahahaha! That would beer have worked with my kids .. They would've been like where's the balloons? Where's Carl's mailbox ? There wasn't a cemetery in his yard ! Or a horse drawn hearse! Yeah my kids were too analytical by the time they were 3 . Lol!  I had to find other ways to scar them ๐Ÿ˜‚ - eviljules  1506.8 #125 11:29PM

Two years ago on Mother's Day, my son and I were in line for TOT and we were right behind a mom, dad and their (very) little daughter. The daughter was scared the whole time in line and asked a million questions about the ride. The mom kept telling her that it wasn't a scary ride and it was for very little kids just like IASW. Someone next to us asked how old she was and the mom replied "four". Then they asked how she was going to handle the drops and when the daughter got scared to hear about that, the mom told her that the woman was lying and there weren't any drops. After hearing that, pretty much all of us spoke up and said this wasn't a good idea and she said that if her daughter knew that it was a scary ride then they wouldn't be able to go on it! She was seated in front of us for the ride and when it was done, she didn't speak when her parents kept asking how she liked it. Imho, that was practically abusive๐Ÿ˜ž - Nala  386.0 #629 9:18AM
Saw something similar when getting on Space Mountain. The youngest was about 5, and was scared in the queue. Older sister was about 11 and kept telling her "It is just like a merry-go-round." The apprentice and I both were shaking our heads, and I was getting angry. The kid was clearly scared and didn't want to go on. Father, and two other adults were in the group. They just dragged her through the queue. Then they get to boarding, she couldn't go on anyway because she wasn't tall enough. The parents could have switched off and not dragged the kid on. I didn't even bother with those rides until my boy was tall enough. Even then I waited for him to tell me he was ready. - Lelundrial  820.2 #248 10:30AM
Exactly! That's the only way to do it since the kids need to be ready by their own decision to go on a ride. I was hoping so badly that this girl wouldn't meet the height requirement, but sadly she did. I think it's very traumatizing for kiddos to endure a fast/scary ride when they didn't want to do it in the first place :( - Nala  386.0 #629 11:10AM

Good morning:-). Had a great day yesterday and took 90secs off my 5K time.  Sat out in the sunshine all day.  I think we are having a late summer here in Scotland.  Only down side was my daughter dropped a stretcher on her toe why on a lifeguard training course.  Ended up at the hospital for an X-Ray but thankfully nothing broken.  We don't have anything special in they way of Autumn foods.  Starbucks do have pumpkin spiced lattes though.  I might just try one today :-) - beentoall  1304.7 #0 11:37PM

Fall is my favourite time of year. The changing of the leaves, pumpkin bread and cookies, apple picking, apple pie, apple crumble, apple fritters, ... One year I bought a "string thing" toy. It's a bright multicolored piece of yarn that is wrapped around a motorized wheel inside of the handle and when you turn it on the wheel spins so that the yarn defies gravity. On my son's 2nd birthday which was also Easter he received a fat ball of fluff that someone else gave a ridiculous name (Lady Shasta of something or other stupid). She was the best giant 125 pound dog and when my daughter was a baby would put her fingers right in her eyes or mouth Winnie would just let her do it. @@Mickeylover67 I'm sorry about sweet Framkie. I'm sure Daisy misses him as well. Glad you still have her ๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1506.8 #125 9:19PM
We used to have Oscar and Barney too, I still miss them, even though I love F and V.  My poor Frank has awful allergies so this is his second ear infection in 6 months. - dianeburns1998  111.4 #3514 9:45PM
I show dogs during the weekends (when not at Disneyland). I had a whole litter of puppies named after Disneyland places or characters. The mom is registered as Enchanted, her puppy son is named "Jack"  has registered named is Caribbean pirate.  The girl is named "G.G." Her registered name is Gibson Girl. (After the ice cream parlor on Main Street) her other sister is named "Kiera" her registered  name is pirate princess ( after Kiera Knightly of pirates of Caribbean movie) so fun tying the Furkids names with my other passion-everything Disney!  - eeyoretinkfan  349.3 #26 6:46AM
That's great ! I love how the names are connected to DL. Especially GG for Gibson girl .. That's pretty unique ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š What kind of dogs ? I haven't shown a dog in years , but it's fun ! Just horse shows for me now .๐Ÿด๐ŸŽ - eviljules  1506.8 #125 7:43AM
I don't have furbabies, I have feathered babies. Four lovebirds named Fili, Finn, Echo, and Jai. Finn is the one that turned out to be a female. Jai is the grumpy one that is only nice to me when he is out of the cage. Or out of his hiding places. Fili will rest on anyone's shoulder. Echo is shy and noisy. I had two others, Fizzgig and Hiro. - Lelundrial  820.2 #248 12:59PM
I ๐Ÿ’œ feathered babies! And I know what you mean.. They all have such unique personalities . I have 2 parrots right now. But we are working on an outdoor flight for ring necked doves. It will be a couple years til it will be how I want it. I'm growing grape vines over one side for shade . And pouring concrete a foot below so nothing can dig inside . Great names you pic jr fid your birdies too ๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1506.8 #125 12:26PM
