I have had so many many wonderful pets of every type but my Disney inspired was named by my son. On my son's 2nd birthday which was also Easter he received a fat ball of fluff that someone else gave a ridiculous name (Lady Shasta of something or other stupid). I knew exactly what my little guy would call her & as soon as he saw her he yelled "Winnie" because she did look like a little cute chubby Pooh Bear. She was the best giant 125 pound dog and when my daughter was a baby would put her fingers right in her eyes or mouth Winnie would just let her do it. She went hiking/camping with us in the Sierras and scared a few bears in her time and let me kids know it was okay to jump in the water. Best doggie ever and was with us for 18 1/2 years!! - ShariRenee  10696.8 #8 10:15PM

Hi there!  I'm an avid reader, and I love getting into a new series. I devoured the Little House books over and over as a child--that's probably #1 from my childhood.  I'm definitely a big Potter fan, too--I actually didn't start reading them until I was in my 20s, and finished all 7 in two weeks!  I prefer the books to the movies.  Every so often, my husband and I read the series aloud (well, I do most of the reading ๐Ÿ˜‚ he reads some of the sad parts).  It's a pretty fun thing to do together ๐Ÿ˜Š  I think book 5 is my favorite--to me, that's the book when Harry really came of age.  As far as a favorite character...I can't pick one, but I do love Hagrid, McGonagal, Hermione, Luna, and Dobby because they all have such big, loyal hearts.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  641.3 #335 8:15AM

I think thats awesome that you read aloud together. Reading aloud is such a lost art ... Children remain "labored" readers out loud if they don't practice it . It's just such a rich series ..
Just a quick comment: Snape is my favorite in both the books and movies  - MaleficentCheshire  164.9 #2565 10:56AM
I think thats awesome that you read aloud together. Reading aloud is such a lost art ... Children remain "labored" readers out loud if they don't practice it . It's just such a rich series .. I stunbled upon book 4 on a pallet at Costco and bought it to read to my mini who was just a baby.. So I was 30. After that I was hooked and bought the prior 3 and read those aloud to her as well. But it was more for me ๐Ÿ˜‚. I have a couple of the books on tape, that I used to play in my car .. But now all my cars have CD players ๐Ÿ˜. I love your choices of fav characters ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป - eviljules  1479.9 #121 10:59AM
@@MaleficentCheshire I doubt many will argue with you about that. He was an epic character ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1479.9 #121 11:00AM
MaleficentCheshire I agree--Snape is a fascinating character: in many ways, I find him similar to Anakin Skywalker.   eviljules yes, reading aloud IS a lost art!  I know that when I read aloud, I start to appreciate not only the story, but the subtleties of language in a different way--you have to slow down and really consider everything,  I actually think it makes me a better writer and thinker.  That's so sweet that you bonded with your little over HP!  We found a used Book 7 on CD at some point--we like to pop it in every so often if we're driving somewhere.  I've been meaning to check yard sales for others but I always seem to forget ๐Ÿ˜‚ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  641.3 #335 12:34PM
Oh what a great find!! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜Š And yes, it's been a good thing, because now she's a teen and we can always connect over Disney and Harry Potter ๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1479.9 #121 12:59PM

Good evening everyone and welcome to Up Late ๐Ÿ˜ƒ how's everyone's day been? So my question for the night is .. What Disney character do you most relate to? Either in appearance or personality ? I'm basing this ? loosely on the interactive book in beasts library in the Sorcerers Workshop in DCA . And has the book ever chosen this character for you ?

I've never done the sorcerers  workshop but want to. Hmmmm. Pollyanna if picking a movie character. But a character at the parks?   I'll say Snow White as I like to talk to animals and I love the dwarves๐Ÿ˜‚ - secretagentangel  7411.5 #14 10:10PM
Pollyanna is a great choice for you! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป And Snow White I could see too! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป - Duchess_SMK  6549.5 #19 10:17PM
Little people, they don't like to be called dwarves ๐Ÿ˜‚ - eviljules  1479.9 #121 10:25PM
I am surprised that Disney hasn't changed that๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ - secretagentangel  7411.5 #14 10:36PM
Awwe! ThanksDuchess_SMK๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜Š - secretagentangel  7411.5 #14 10:37PM
Good morning. I think it would have to be Eeyore as I'm always pessimistic, but I'm sure others would say I'm more like Tigger as I'm always racing about from one thing to another and coming up with ridiculous things to do! - beentoall  1013.4 #0 10:20PM
I've always loved Eeyore .. Walking around under his own rain cloud ๐Ÿ˜Š - eviljules  1479.9 #121 10:58PM

You know those crows from dumbo that heckle him and probably everyone else they come in contact with? Then it turns out they're actually nice and rather helpful.  Well I'm nothing like that. I mostly resemble Tarzan.  - phillip...  1371.2 #138 11:37AM
