My mother actually gifted us this last Christmas. We used it in January and I really enjoyed it.
We did 6 hours and had her meet us post Ariel's grotto breakfast. You walk onto fast pass ride lines & thru exits for most rides that don't offer fast pass. The best was toy story midway for that!
Also preferred seating for parades. She hooked us up for a couple days with seats.

I think the way to deal with this is that the guest is given a return/fast pass based on the current wait time. For example if the wait for Indy is 60 mins they get a return card that is good 60 to 120 mins from now. This still allows the guest to bypass the line but makes cheating less attractive since the guest doesn't get immediately to the front of the line - mike714

@JustCantWait Well now I am so bummed about the Valentine's meet and greet. I went up to a CM and told him that I had a guest assistance card and couldn't stand in line and asked if I could have just have the autograph and he never offered to give me a pass to come back. Hubby and I sat for 90 minutes just to catch the couples walking in and out. I guess I should've worded my inquiry better but that's good to know now because I've only seen the princesses twice when it was a 5 minute wait. Thanks LBchica and JCW. The sucky thing about stories like this is that it will give people ideas, many don't know about GACs, but will now. I really hope this doesn't up the GAC abuse and make it more difficult for people who really need and benefit from GACs to get them. - Linzee

Not necessarily, all that needs to happen is the ADA steps in and tells Disney they can't question anyone. I know that is what happening with public transportation in my town. I have seen dogs that are clearly not medical assistance dogs on the bus. I contacted the company and they informed me that some legislation was passed because of the ADA that they can't ask for any type of proof that it is a medical dog. Disney can decide to start requiring some type of proof of a medical need. Then it takes for some to complain to the ADA about discrimination. Mav I am in the same boat as you. I have a really bad back, spinal compression problems and bad scoliosis. Standing in line for long time makes my back feel like its on fire but I refuse to get a GAC. I just get as many fast passes as I can and tough out the ones that have long lines with no fast passes (waited 45 minutes for toy story and thought I might die from back pain). @LeLundrial, when I started with the special assist/GAC pass 20 years ago (only DL then) I had to provide a medical note to verify my son's autism diagnosis. Then after 5 years they said they could not ask for proof anymore. Then there was the use a Wheel Chair go to the front, good for rental income and disney did not seem to mind. I still carry my medical note just to be safe. I do see alot of line abuse but not much I can say. - Plumiegirl

About 20 some years ago I went to the movies once and there was a woman there with an assistance dog. Now the dog had on a special vest that had writing on it stating it was an assistance dog. She was still require to show proof of it. Some people don't mind showing medical notes at all. Then there are some that just get up in arms about it. After my surgery last year we were supposed to go to DL while I was on leave. Looking at me no one would have been able to tell that walking or standing for long periods of time was very painful. I would have needed a wheelchair. In the end we ended up not going.
