Was pretty bummed when we had to let our Premier Passports expire without renewing when we found out my wife was pregnant. I've been lurking around the lounge & living vicariously through everyone's posts while working from home and getting everything ready for baby. Thanks for all the updates & pics. We'll be back in the parks in a couple years. I guess my attraction posters, Mickey ears & MouseW  More...

Take baby in early and often.  Baby is free until he or she turns 3.  Congrats. - potatohead25  804.0 #249 2:44PM

Does anyone know if/when the ornaments & passes for the AP holder viewing of WoC typically get all claimed?  I know they start distribution at 10 tomorrow & was wondering if I'd still be able to partake if I get to the parks around 3:30 - 4.  Thanks.

This weekend, all FPs were gone by 2:30. But yesterday, they still had FPs for the 8:15 show (the non-AP only show) at 5:30pm - BaseballMickey  8033.3 #12 12:22PM

Looks like i gotta get to the parks on Sept 28. I've been wanting to get our last name done for a couple years... Saw this post on the Disney Parks Blog.

For some MWers usernames, it would cost a fortune! *cough*HandMeAChurroImmaFaint*cough*MeridafanOCoconut*cough* - ribidib  1187.7 #162 9:41PM
Here's the link and more info -

September 28–29: If you have been waiting for the perfect time to order one of artist Dave Avanzino’s Custom Letter Plaques, then you’re in luck! There’s no time like the present. Dave will be appearing from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., each day at Disneyana on Main Street, U.S.A. This program, which officially launched in 2011, allows you to select some of your favorite Disneyland Resort attractions and icons to spell your name. Custom Letter Plaque prices vary based on name length, ranging from one to twenty letters. Reminder: Custom Letter Plaque orders are limited and will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

Had such a wonderful experience @ DL last week thanks to the Disney Parks Blog. My wife was selected to be a part of a group to tour some of the windows along Main Street with Jon Storbeck, VP of DL Park (I, unfortunately, was not...). Our daughter & I were planning to enjoy the park for a couple hours on our own while the wife was enjoying the tour. Upon checking in, my wife asked if our daughter  More...

Unfortunately, I have not discovered an easy way to get notified of the Disney Parks Blog meet-ups.  I work on a computer all day, so I'm able to leave a tab open on the blog & just refresh it every time I remember.  I have been lucky enough to attend the Mickey & the Magical Map meet-up as well as win one of the give-aways earlier this summer.   - MrRoyAL  220.1 #1807 10:05PM

10 more days until we get to use our AP at the Florida parks! Then we come back to DL to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. Got our Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour booked & now need to make dinner reservations. Kinda torn between ambiance of Blue Bayou and the excellent food reviews of Carthay Circle Restaurant. Any suggestions?

Sounds like an amazing trip!!! Post lots of pics! As for the restaurant, I have yet to experience either of those places, so from my point of view, you can't lose! - chhunkie  311.9 #899 9:09PM

This weekend went by way too fast. Disney Parks Blog meet up to watch Mickey and the Magical Map on Friday, then drugged up on Saturday to get a couple shots of Cortisone into my shoulder, then back to the parks on Sunday to upgrade our Premium APs to Premier APs.

i love that Disneyland can bring out the little kid in all of us.... even my "cool" 13 year old mini and her friend were excited when seeing Pocahontas come on stage during Mickey and the Magical Map!

We loved taking our kids to DLR when they were young teens. They could be the kids they still really were without worrying about looking silly, no one to try and impress. - DisneyGrandma  882.7 #223 12:09PM

Took the afternoon off work to take the wifey (& no kid) to DL. Death grip on my phone as I snapped a quick pic just before falling into my happy place on Splash & a few pics from the castle lighting & the fireworks. Perfect afternoon & evening with an awesome dinner at Cafe Orleans (pomme frites and a Monte Cristo!).

Any other AP holders ever miss the excitement of not having an AP & watching your the days countdown to your next visit to the DLR? I love my AP & the spontaneity of my visits, but I do miss the countdown sometimes.

Maybe it's different for us since we're not local to the parks, and don't get to visit on a weekly basis, but we have APs and definitely countdown to our visits. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  649.3 #332 8:37PM
I have an AP and live 45min from DL and count down our planned visits! - Boundin  812.4 #246 8:34PM
We do the same, just start to find that planned visits tend to come more rare since we upgraded to the Premium AP a couple years ago. - MrRoyAL  220.1 #1807 8:41PM
Seems to me Disney needs to build another park 6 hours away! There are certainly enough of us to warrant it! Sigh. One can dream, anyway. - MeridaFan  4244.2 #39 10:24PM

Does anyone know if I can upgrade my Premium Pass to a Premier Pass by just paying the difference between the 2 & still be able to maintain my monthly payments? Or will I have to pay the balance + the difference upon upgrading? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

thats how i believe it works. but only at disneyland. you have to pay it in full at wdw. - ImAlwaysCrazy  674.5 #320 10:15PM
