I had no idea. And I think Disney is always looking for ways to help the environment and look to the future (plug for their vision of Tomorrowland). I also find it interesting that they are using future technology to fuel the old trains. Thank you SMK for this interesting Disney History!! - MyPark

Great info. One of my good friends who is an engineer on the DLRR says doing this costs Disney more money than it saves. It costs more to collect the cooking oil, sent it offsite to be refined and then ship it back than it would be to dispose of the cooking oil and buy diesel fuel. - ckholliday

Disneyland hotel. Beds are more comfortable, rooms are more fun, and you will save a little money.
They are both great. Its a hard choice. I like the grand a little better because of the balcony in the room and the short walking distance but sharirenee makes a great point. Be sure to let the cms know its your anniversary when you book your room, they usually do something extra for special occasions. - Twitterpated

Depends on what you're looking for. The decor of the rooms in the Grand is rather plain to me, it's like many other such hotels, but maybe you like hanging out on the balcony in the morning and proximity to the parks. If you get a park view room, you might be able to watch WOC. You could also book services at the mandara spa for some pampering. Disneyland hotel is special for it's disney magic. The headboard and the pool are fantastic. View-wise, you might be able to see the fireworks, I think. - bluefairy

I've never been in a regular guestroom at pp, only the suites, so I can't comment on the room itself. However, nice views of dca (and WOC). You can walk across the street through the grand to get to dtd and the parks. - bluefairy 627.0 #174 2:12PM

Stroller naps! Try to get fast passes for the grown up rides timed so that each parent can do a walk on while child is napping. You can double dip with rides that have that babysit pass thingy. - InnerSpaceman
