The hungry bear Fantasmic! dessert tray. Only $29.99 before AP discount. And front row center seating. So worth it. I do miss the chairs and the cookie, it's a lot cheaper too.

Hope you enjoyed the show 😍 - RapunzelledColey  111.6 #3240 10:50PM
I can't WAIT to try this.  I always wanted to do the old dessert thing, so this new cheaper one sounds perfect! - dethrizu  231.7 #1482 11:07PM
Yes. It's much cheaper. But they told me they're just doing it for a 3 week trail. If it a success, they will continue.  - fantasmicfan02  51.1 #4384 8:37AM
OHNO! I had no idea it was just a trial. I'll have to go right after Christmas then.  Thank you for the info! - dethrizu  231.7 #1482 11:19AM
Thanks! Unfortunately most of these new options won't work for us.  One son has a peanut allergy and the other is very picky.   - DisneyPiratePrincess  160.8 #2437 8:44PM
This is good info, and I have a few questions: this is where we liked to sit before they implemented the FP.  Do they pack people in there to sit like sardines together or is it about as crowded as it would have been pre-FP? Do you know if everyone around you got the dessert tray, or do people have regular FPs, too?  How was the overall staging and seating experience for you?  We are going to try to visit in January and I am hoping to figure this out for a family member's birthday.  It's hard when you only visit occasionally.  If it's a disaster, it's a disappointment, and they likely won't be back to DL for a long time, so I'm hoping to try to get this right!  Thank you for any feedback you can provide!  - Spoonful_O_Sugar  563.0 #316 8:45PM
It's not too crowded. And yes everyone in the area was the pre pay from the hungry bear. I thought it was worth it. I'd do it again.  - fantasmicfan02  51.1 #4384 9:00PM

Just an FYI-DCA GC is being scheduled to help with Fantasmic since we work WOC. I personally have a shift on Monday 12/15 and I'm excited but nervous. I'm excited that I'll be working on the DL side doing a show I've never done before. I'm excited that I get to help fellow CMs with something that is new to them. I'm nervous because of all the push back and assumptions I'm hearing from everyone before this new system even starts. Disney is constantly looking to improve the guest experience, not make it worse. No one seems to like change but we all adapt quickly and things always seem to work out for the better. As Walt said himself, "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world." I can tell you first had that every CM I know strives to preserve Walts vision, tradition and legacy daily. We do it because it's what makes Disneyland magical. Ok-I'm off my soap box, LOL  - CM_Tamstirr  551.3 #324 10:53PM

Hello MouseWaiters! Just wondering if any one knows of any great travel agents/ agencies for booking a trip to Disneyland? Hubby and I have WestJet dollars to use for our trip, but it seems really pricey for when we want to go... I know that the summer is a little busier (and more expensive) than other times, and that with the birthday it may be different (?) but I remember seeing some deals last   More...

Getaway today or AAA... I'm sure though the hotels are jacking up the prices this summer in preparations for the big 60th too... I've noticed the soonest you can book a room the cheaper it will be. I remember waiting near a plant on Royal Street near the back stairs to the apartment (still the art gallery back then) for a chance to watch Fantasmic! from the balcony. We thought we'd been duped until another couple who'd been standing near us and eyeing us suspiciously finally asked if we were waiting for the "special seats." Sure enough, a cast member came up and led us all up the back stairs, through the apartment, and out onto the balcony to watch the show. No cost - just had to show up at the right plant. I will! - missmimi90  1596.8 #87 2:54PM
We love Fantasmic, but usually just grab a spot at the last minute on the occasions when our timing jibes.  Will that still be possible, I wonder?  I'll be watching to see how this works out. IMHO the fast pass system for WOC doesn't work unless you are also willing to spend at least an hour holding a spot. Longer if you are short like me. If you only get a few days a year, spending that kind of time on one attraction sometimes doesn't seem like the best use of time. I've been about six times but only saw the show once due to kids on shoulders ( I'm seriously short). - DeneciePie  327.5 #682 6:20PM

I'm just going to say this on behalf of ALL CMs resort wide.  This change is happening as we head into the busiest time of the year.  Probably not the best time to test it out, but that's the date that has been decided.  There will be a lot of changes and adaptations as they learn what does and doesn't work for the area.  Expect there to be increased traffic in Adventureland/Frontierland/New Orleans Square.  PLEASE be patient with the CMs!  Chances are, whatever you're upset about, it's not their fault!  I don't know if I will be trained on the changes to Fantasmic directly, but I'm sure @CM_Shadowgamer will be and will update us as more information becomes available.  Please don't hesitate to ask questions and we will all try to find the answer for you.  Thank you for your patience and understanding! - IDVandalSkipperCM  2278.1 #52 7:39PM
yes, please support our wonderful CM's!  they are doing their best for everyone!! - secretagentangel  1324.7 #104 7:54PM
Thanks you Erika! From working in the same area as you, we will see the area get impacted as these changes are happening. And unfortunately, I've seen that some things that shouldn't happen anywhere, even at DL. But the only way to test anything out is to do it full scale.  - BaseballMickey_CM  6501.0 #12 8:33PM
I got your back! I'll yell at guests who yell at CMs - SpiritOfAdventure  1029.4 #152 6:56AM

I don't envy the CMs on the west side... - BombFrogFormerCM  809.0 #196 1:35PM

Preach it sister! - PrincessDuckie  749.7 #215 7:42AM
😂👍  I realize they had to change something since that area is so crazy-crowded.  DL is growing and changing, which is good, but a downside is that it's getting harder to be spontaneous.  I'm just a bit sad to lose one of our traditions-I hated the way they handled the WOC FP situation, lol.   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  563.0 #316 8:11AM
So you won't be able to stake out a Stage Door table to watch Fantasmic while you are eating dinner? - PrincessDuckie  749.7 #215 10:12AM
No, that area should still be open - BaseballMickey_CM  6501.0 #12 10:56AM
Sweet! - PrincessDuckie  749.7 #215 5:52PM
Bump for all asking about fantasmic fast passes!! - secretagentangel  1324.7 #104 10:06PM
