I am a military wife, mother to 2 wonderful boys, and a Doula. I spent grades k-2 just blocks from Disneyland. A love was born then and there! My boys are growing up with the same love, even with living in Washington.

A child under 3 does not recieve a ticket. If you have a fast pass they are able to go with you without needing their own fast pass.
If they are under 3, but tall enough for a ride with a fast pass, they would just enter the fast pass line with the group and just let the CM know they are under 3 years old. This happened with my friend's son. He was a few weeks shy of his 3rd birthday, but was just tall enough to ride Star Tours (he's very tall for his age). As long as everyone else has a FP in the group it won't be an issue. - goofymom2boys  1407.7 #85 11:31PM
Great answer!  - JenGwen323  1053.3 #130 11:37PM
You can have 1 FP for each 2 hour period, usually. If the time for your ride is sooner than 2 hours, you can get another FP as soon as the earliest time your FP is valid. Hard to explain, but when you get a FP, it will say when you can get another one. 2 hours or earliest time it is valid. Hope that helps.  - JenGwen323  1053.3 #130 11:17PM
Also, I don't think kids under 3 need a FP for WOC. I can't think of a FP ride that a kid under 3 could go on. I hope a MW parent will answer for sure.  - JenGwen323  1053.3 #130 11:23PM
Thank you!  - DsnyAddict  11.6 #8163 12:00AM
Please note that World of Color's fast pass is not attached to the DCA attraction's system and therefore you can get a fast pass along with having your WoC ones throughout the day. Once your attraction pass is used and/or the time it says you can get a new one on it comes, you are able to do so still. Finally, if you are park hopping, do note that DCA and DL are also on separate systems as well. This in effect means you can have a WoC fast pass, a DCA attraction fast pass, AND a Disneyland attraction fast pass all be at the same time. I remember once being able to get Blue Section FPs for WoC, grab Tower of Terror FPs, go on Screaming, come back for Tower, hop over to Disneyland, grab Indy FPs and ride Big Thunder all in about 2 hour total using this knowledge. Mind you, this was off season, but still. - CM_Shadowgamer  2312.7 #46 11:47PM

Right by Grizzly River. - CM_Shadowgamer  2312.7 #46 12:33AM
Thank You Everyone for the great answers!!! ... One last question. If a person in our group has a annual pass and everyone else goes in as part of the "Early Magical Hour" can we take their pass in and them a FASTPASS (for cars) to make sure all get the same time frame? Or do they have to be in the park before it lets you get one?  - DsnyAddict  11.6 #8163 12:04AM
A ticket or pass that hadn't been scanned at the gate won't work in the fast pass machines so, no, you can't take other tickets with you. Everyone would have to enter the park to get their own fast pass  - Bo22  383.6 #494 12:06AM
Any ticket must be scanned at the front gate in order to get a FP for the corresponding park. - BaseballMickey_CM  5787.2 #13 12:06AM

She said the screening was going to be more rigorous and things like claustrophobia may not be granted.
Those who are against documentation are probably the same people who dont truly need it. I'd show my therapy/psychiatry documentation in a heart beat for my high anxiety and oanic attacks or the doctor documentation for the spinal compression issues I have if it meant ruling out thise who abuse it. Only people who abuse GAC would be pissed about stricter measures. - missmimi90  1364.4 #90 8:24PM
I'd be happy to bring documentation as well. However, I'm not sure if they can legally ask for that. I might just bring it to make sure I can get a GAC for my October trip. - pridegirl  386.8 #488 8:28PM
I'm with you missmimi90! We always bring Jack and Scotchie's documents. HIPPA rules are "different", but a RN or a HMDL Exemptee can ask if they are operating in an official capacity such as it would be to grant a GAC just like a DMV worker would be when issuing a handicap parking placard. - BombFrogCM  650.5 #242 8:33PM
I would qualify for one but I don't get GAC because I feel there are people who need it more than I do. I find other ways... Through fast pass use, strategy and planning what times would be best to do certain attractions and I skip ones I can't handle for one reason or another. I just think there are other ways to make do. - missmimi90  1364.4 #90 8:38PM
Hmm...if an rn can ask, maybe this is something they should turn over to first aid... - bluefairy  643.3 #247 8:41PM
I dont think an RN can ask unless it is for medical treatment. - Radius  502.7 #351 9:06PM
Or they could just value their privacy and don't want to have to explain their condition to a City Hall CM without any shred of medical training. How is Disney going to validate the diagnosis letter? Will they have an MD/PhD/RN/etc read each letter and then examine the guest? Will they call the practitioner that wrote the note (only to have that practitioner refuse to provide any patient history, as any one that values their license to practice would do?) The way to limit the GAC situation is to limit the number of guests covered to the number in the party, not to the 6 that is now. Also guests with wheelchairs or ECV's don't need GAC's, their DME is the pass. Queues are being updated to allow chair access in the normal queue lines and thus no front of the line privileges should be granted. - NotSoDapperDan  323.2 #673 9:31PM
As healthy as I look even with my recent kidney transplant u would never know I was dead flatlined for 4 1/2 minutes I have a heart condition too I've been looked at in a bad way using my gac card outside of DL I've had ppl yell at me to not park in a disability spot cause I was not disabled u don't know what's going on with me or what I've been tho so don't judge but ya there needs to be some control of abuse of gac cards - mickeyat78  1235.5 #98 9:28PM
Some of the best advice I've been told is to remember that "you don't know everyone's situation." Keeping this in mind prevents me from judging others. I wish more people thought this way. - ladylikesdisney  945.0 #148 10:50PM

thats disgusting that people were yelling at you! makes me sick! you are right you don't know whats wrong with people but there are times you can tell those that are abusing it. Praise god that you are healing and everything is progressing for you! - mcramos925  361.3 #541 1:29PM
i think that people really do abuse it and that's really sad! I was there when i was on crutches and i stayed in line just like everyone else did, but i watched people using them just cause and getting to the front of the line and its pretty sad when that happens. There are people that really need to use it and its going to get harder for those people to enjoy it cause those lines are going to start getting long as well! We did use it for space mountain cause i couldn't get up the ramp very well and we waited 45 mins to get on the ride cause it was packed and from just observing i doubt even half of the people really needed to be in that line. - mcramos925  361.3 #541 1:27PM
But at the same time we don't know if they are. My daughter has disabilities and appears normal or okay. So I get stares a lot buy hey I then think they don't know my situation and why worry about someone who doesn't matter to me. But I do agree with you on people abusing it. I've seen plenty of times on one attraction one person's in the wheelchair and the next attraction it's someone else and the first person is now walking without a limp. - minniel0verβ„’  212.5 #1675 1:46AM
I agree. Personally we don't judge I think it's sick that people do. You can tell the groups that abuse it though. That is for people who really need it and those that abuse it are only making it harder for those who do need it to use it. That's the reason we didn't get one even with me on crutches with a torn ligament I knew that there were people who really needed it. - mcramos925  361.3 #541 5:58AM
It's not just for the person who needs it, their whole group gets in as well , and those are the people you see that don't actually "need " the pass - carminaire  500.3 #353 5:44AM

I do plan on going to City Hall when we get there. I just want to make sure she gets them. I will probably wait until our last day, incase we run into her in person (would be our ideal)! I'm not sure on the etiquette of posting her picture on line. Any opinions on that? It's a picture she asked to take with my boys. Thank you!
I emailed a letter regarding an awesome CM a few years ago. I think I went to the Disneyland resort website and contacted customer service and they directed me to the correct department. It was nice to send a personal letter. Hope that helps! - goofymom2boys  1407.7 #85 11:01AM
Unfortunately I have no idea! If all else fails, ask a MWer that frequents the parks and that you trust, to see if you could send it there way and have them deliver it to city hall for the CM, or have it hand delivered :) what a nice thing of you to do, I hope all works out! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  1300.1 #94 1:34AM

I know this is probably a "stupid" question, but what is the difference between doors? I've only been able to ride this 4 times in 8 years (no one else in my family likes it). I've never noticed a difference...
The Chamber of Destiny actually has only one operating door and corridor. The walls and ceiling of the room are designed to rotate across the working doorway and a set of four faΓ§ades (two on each side of the real doorway), so that three "doors" are always visible at any given time. The doors and the Hall of Promise are lit differently based on which particular chamber has been randomly chosen. Fake tracks lead up to the other doors to enhance the effect. The door on the far left is the Purple lit one and is called the Observatory of the future. The middle door is lit in Gold and is the Chamber of earthly riches. The far right door is lit in Blue and is called the Fountain of eternal youth. Read the wiki on this attraction, it is very interesting and it has a complete story -theme- to explain the journey. - Plumiegirl  7674.8 #3 11:43PM

I wear my walking shoes that I use at the gym. I walk 5 miles at a 15 incline daily, so the walking is easy. Standing is the hard part. I soak in a hot bath and take night time recovery when the day is done and I don't have any leg or feet problems, even after 9 days in the parks from open-close.
This reminds me of the time I was a little boy and I won a contest to visit the local Chocolate Factory and I really wanted my Grandpa Joe to come but he was old and lazy and was always in bed with my other Grandparents which still trips me out to this day. Well once I one the contest Lazy Grandpa Joe finally got out of bed and started dancing and signing and was fine within no time. At first I was not sure if it was the chocolate factory he wanted to see or if i was to get out of bed with the other grandparents or just so he had to hear my mom singing that stupid cheer up charlie song that I was always fast forwarded through as a kid ...Or you can just get up and stretch and wear good shoes and stay away from any Sunday costco visits - Dave  10848.3 #2 10:57AM

And let your oldest help you hide the eggs. - yellowtonka  241.4 #1309 1:32PM

Congrats! I loved being pregnant (well after the first trimester) oh it was so nice pigging out. I was really lucky I ate like no other but only gained 14 pounds with my oldest daughter and then 8 pounds with my second daughter. Now when I eat like a pig I gain unwanted weight! Boo!!! Live it up and enjoy it! I loved feeling the girls move too! So neat! - Queenof2princesses  259.5 #1111 11:23AM

Awesome news! Some days when I'm in park I'll see local middle schoolers during school hours with AP totally ditching cause they still have their book bags and are wearing jackets and shirts with their school logo. If you're going to ditch school at least try to blend in :) - CMallyg92  108.7 #3216 11:48PM

Do not promise he can ride it, even if he passes the first hieght indicator, he may not pass the one at the end of the line. If he makes the 40" mark before you get there, go on the 40" ones in the morning as we all shrink throughout the day.
yup. Safety first. - JungleBum  1013.1 #141 11:53AM
A lot of testing goes into determining the height requirements. We want EVERYONE to ride every attraction but safety is of the utmost importance. There is plenty to do and fun to be had with out taking unnecessary risk. All in good time. - JungleBum  1013.1 #141 12:08PM
Your child's safety should be number 1, at all times. If they are too short, they can wait. Don't put them in taller shoes or hope the CM lets them slide. Be the parent, and keep your child safe. - DisneyFanZoe  1106.9 #122 12:19PM

There are companies around the resort that rent them for less. They even deliver to your hotel room.
When I went a few weeks ago with my mom, ECVs were $75, $20 of it is a refundable deposit. - IMissDisney  1195.5 #106 10:18AM

This is true. And you can take them anywhere. DL wheelchairs and ECVs can only be used in the parks. - IMissDisney  1195.5 #106 10:32AM
Also it seems like the outside rentals are nicer and handle better. I've always been more afraid of the DLR ones. - mannequinskywalker  3.1 #34148 10:39AM
My only worry is that it won't fit in my car. We aren't staying within walking distance unfortunately - SPandEvLover  2680.9 #35 11:30AM
The ECVs can be broken down and stored in a regular sized trunk, an outside company would save $$$ and you can use it in Downtown Disney. We use Deckert's and they do deliver to hotels, almost 1/2 the price of the DL ones and much nicer. - Linzee  782.8 #186 11:34AM
Ok good to know! I think we'll do that. Thanks a bunch!!! - SPandEvLover  2680.9 #35 11:40AM
