Just wanted to share this amazing story! Teen from Taft High School saved the life of a one year old with CPR at Disneyland. Kudos to this young lady for being a hero!

As a CPR instructor myself, I firmly believe everyone should know how to do it. So let me give you a quick lesson: HANDS ONLY CPR - push hard, push fast, (do it to the beat of the song "Stayin' Alive"). For an adult the compression depth is at least 2 inches and a rate of at least 100 compressions per minute. For a child, the compression depth is at least 1.5 inches and the same compression rate. Visit the American Heart Association's website for more info. It's true....anyone can be a hero. Will you be ready? - DisneyDavidEMT  2824.6 #53 7:40AM
It just might happen to you. My Mom was having an asthma attack and aspirated and went code blue on our way to the hospital and I had to do CPR until the ambulance arrived, one of the most terrifying moments of my life. GibsonGirl87 was with me to call 911! The doctors and nurses in ICU gave me a standing ovation, I didn't feel like a hero. I just did what had to be done. Thank goodness for my training and for my CPR instructor!!! She is alive and well and miraculously no brain damage! - adisneyfamily  1004.1 #208 7:49AM
that why I love both NREMT"s and EMT and everyone else who work in the med. field xoxoxox - pikarich  6554.3 #21 8:05AM
Me too, I am so grateful! Without them our day would have turned out very differently!! - adisneyfamily  1004.1 #208 8:09AM
^^^ agreed - pikarich  6554.3 #21 8:36AM
Go teenagers! Why CPR should be taught in every middle school and refreshed in high school. - MeridasHair  346.5 #734 8:02AM
Yes they should teach it but not all schools do - Cinderellaaa  165.2 #2583 9:05AM
Don't forget to keep your elbows locked while doing compressions, people! This makes CPR much more efficient. - Jacqueline  580.0 #385 9:05AM
This makes my heart smile! I would hop out of my chair to perform CPR if I saw I was needed! - PrincessDaisy_FU2Rcm  361.5 #689 9:18AM

Question. Today the hours for DCA are extended till 9pm, but they added a World of Color show at 915. I thought if the park closes at 9pm, you must be out at 9. What time are you suppose to be out by? Thanks!

All the attractions close at9, only the show is at 9:15 - MarshaMouse  5036.3 #28 2:03PM
The park is usually open an hour after park closing, but that's usually the stores on Buena Vista Street. Lines for attractions close at 9. If you're in the park before 9 and head to the viewing area you're good to go. - IDVandalSkipperCM  2638.7 #58 2:04PM

Just saw that the space shuttle will be flying over the Southland on Friday. News recommended a good place to view would be Disneyland. Does any MW's know what time. Think I may need to pay a visit on Friday just for this. Happy Wednesday!

Its going to be around noon I believe. - PrinceTeaJack  948.5 #215 8:40AM
Great thanks! - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 8:40AM
News yesterday said @1030 - KissDclown  1089.2 #186 5:31PM
NASA will not confirm when or exactly where the shuttle will fly over. However, it is being announced all over news channels that it will be flying over Disneyland, Boeing in Seal Beach, JPL in Pasadena and landing at LAX by 11 am. - aprilinjune4  483.5 #477 8:42AM
Thanks, I will get there early then. How exciting that will be to see! - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 8:43AM
It won't be landing at LAX. It will be flying over Hawthorne which is in that area but once it done with the flyovers it will be landing at Edwards AFB and then traveling through the streets to the science center. At least this is what I read on their site. - TikiJOSEsWingman  332.4 #791 9:15AM
There's so much info and for security nothing is being confirmed. Guess we will wait and see. - aprilinjune4  483.5 #477 9:39AM
It's landing at Edwards then flying over the capital and down here to land at LAX. It will be moved my truck from LAX to the California Science Center. - KissDclown  1089.2 #186 5:55PM

Hope this is the right forum to ask. When I am on the Mousewait website via my Mac, I can't see any photos posted in the lounge. I can see the details/comments but no photos. I have no issues via my phone. I am bummed because I love to see all the photos while I am home too. Any help would greatly be appreciated! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

hmm.... what operating system are you running on? ALso are you using Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, or... *shudders* internet explorer? - BooEve123  800.9 #259 9:51AM
Safari - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 9:54AM
See if another browser causes the same issue. I'd suggest chrome. Report back with results - CM_Shadowgamer  2654.3 #57 9:57AM
when you go up to the top left corner and click the apple > About this Mac what version are you running? Also do you know if you are on snow lepard, tiger ( there is a bunch of kitties lol) - BooEve123  800.9 #259 9:58AM
Not sure how to get a different browser, I will try to figure that one out and report back. Thank you for the idea :-) - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 9:59AM
I have no issues with safari and pics. Do you have them turned off on the MW website? I know you can do that with the mobile version. Not sure about the website - KissDclown  1089.2 #186 10:00AM
Okay downloading Chrome, will let you know, thanks for the quick response!! - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 10:00AM
@KissDclown, do you know where I can see if I have them turned off on Safari, thank you :-) - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 10:01AM
Not safari...on the MW website. I'm not sure if the option is also available there to turn off photos. Youcan turn them off on the mobile version. Check your MW account too - KissDclown  1089.2 #186 10:09AM
Working as intended since Macs "just work". In all seriousness though, we need to know which OS and broader you're using to help out. - CM_Shadowgamer  2654.3 #57 9:56AM
oops, sorry, Mac OSX version 10.7.4 - does this make sense? I don't have my computer geek hat on :-), thanks for the help BTW :-) - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 9:58AM
Is Mousewait the only site that doesnt show pictures? - PrinceTeaJack  948.5 #215 10:02AM
yes TeaJack9, MW is the only site. KissDclown had a good point, maybe I have the photos turned off, but I am not sure where to check about that on this site, any ideas? - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 10:03AM
SUCCESS!!! Chrome fixed the issue. Thank you very much!!! If anyone knows how to check the MW to see if I have pictures turned off, will they let me know. If not I will always use Chrome!! Again, thank you , thank you, thank you!! - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 10:06AM
yay thats good! also check out the software updates to make sure safari is up and going strong. apple in top left> software updates - BooEve123  800.9 #259 10:08AM
Yeah check your software updates sometimes they arent automatic - PrinceTeaJack  948.5 #215 10:12AM
Well, i feel stupid, I searched and under My MW, there is a tab for show images or hide. and guess what, they were hidden. DOH! I have now corrected the problem and I can see on Safari. Again thanks to everyone for the support. I can now enjoy everyones great photos. Thanks again everyone. - LynniePooh  238.0 #1580 10:11AM

Just met the most incredible father on the Toy Story bus. Told us the story how this was his 19th trip this year with his 5 year princess. He lost his wife to brain cancer two years ago. What an amazingly strong and loving dad. Sure makes me appreciate the positive in my life. To the man on the bus you are an inspiration.
