In park RAK! I have 3 pairs of FPs for Indy,WOC (blue area), & soarin'. All 6 are yours if you find me and say "hey girl heeey!" my phone is dying but I'm about to watch the 3:20 showing of aladdin, then off to GRR. I'm wearing gold ears and a totoro bag.
This sunday my fiance and I are going to the parks to check out carsland and to continue our DLR Food Adventures. we've hit a food rut and need some new ideas for nomz at the park that aren't too filling since we'd like to try as many snacks without getting rumblies in our tumblies. so fellow Mwers, what are your favorite snacks?
Found the hawaiian restaurant in san diego that sells dole whips. It tastes very close to the DL dole whips, but it's missing the disneyland magic. It's still a good fix for those dole whip withdrawals :)
My fiance and I are on a mission to find a couple of "just engaged" buttons. Unfortunately, we haven't found any yet since they've been discontinued. CMs have told us that there may be some left in random stores, but still no luck. If you know where some are hiding & pass the info, you'd make our day!!
My very first RAK!!! The TWO winners were.... PunkyMouseketeere18 and disneymomma1. Congrats!! Please reply with your email by 11/15 :)
**EDIT(11/12/11): 20 more minutes left on the rak, and I wanted to share my new bday memory. 3 days ago my bf of 9 years (we're hs sweethearts) proposed! everything that day was perfect!
i just checked and i got an invite to the AP holiday event!! the whole time i thought i wasn't getting one because i kept checking what i thought was the registered email... then i checked another email account and there it was! it was sent today! so MWers, check every email account because it might have been sent to one you didn't know you registered :D
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
