You just have to have a valid pass meaning a ticket for that day, a pass that is valid for the day of, or a block out date ticket for that day.
You but a block out ticket or upgrade your pass - missmimi90  1301.8 #85 2:07PM
It's all in the app, or the Disneyland webstite. - goofydad909  1406.2 #79 1:47PM
I imagine that if they get too full they'll start blocking people.  An upgraded pass would be let in before a one day ticket, right?  Or is it the other way around? - Taunton  62.9 #3873 8:35PM
I believe it's just first come first serve - Pixarprincess  539.2 #291 8:48PM
No, it's 1st come 1st serve. If you are already in the park you are ok. But if you leave even if you get an exit stamp you might not be let in if the parks are at capacity. It doesn't matter if you are SoCal, Premier, or Premium you will not be let back in until  people leave. - nicealex77  445.1 #398 8:53PM
But always get a hand stamp that night. Normally they prioritize people with hand stamps over people that haven't been in the park.  Last 24 hr event wasn't a problem. We park hopped 9 times that night. But this time it's a holiday weekend. - DLKenCA  1183.9 #96 9:40PM

As I understand it you pay $5 for the map with clues to where the Character eggs are hidden and stickers you get at all egg locations and once you collect them all you get a prize. The eggs you find are not collected they are for display only.

If your meaning ride closers or park closers, unless they are being referbed or having tech issues the attractions won't be closed due to filming. Also, the parks rarely close for the filming of the Christmas Day Parade, they film it on Main Street while the rest of the park is open to regular guest traffic.
If your looking for all the holiday feeling of Disneyland I believe it's starts a few weeks before thanksgiving. Depending on when you arrive that first week you may be in luck! Either way it's a good time to visit crowds are low - MinnieMyLove  120.2 #2974 6:53AM

Great time to visit! We always go in the middle of November around the 14th and have seen the parade filmed, but doesn't close any of the rides :)  - WirTANenAtDisney  30.6 #5013 8:52AM
In the past few years, the Christmas Day parade has been filmed the first Saturday in November.  It's my birthday weekend (Nov. 4th), so dodging the filming in Main Street has become  a tradition.   You can avoid it by ducking into the stores and walking to the end of the street that way.   As for decorations, they're mostly in the parade sshots,  but the rest of the park is transitioning from Halloween to Christmas very slowly  during this time.   It takes time to make the magic happen!   Enjoy the countdown  to your visit!  - susieQzee  527.3 #304 10:30AM

I'd probably avoid the Buzz Lightyear Spin and Midway Mainia (sp) only cause it's more interactive and it's not much fun if you can't join in. The others should be fine, just wrap the arm(s) in plastic bags for rides like splash and GRR.
Unless it's a wet ride or something that tosses you around so you need to hold on with both hands he should be good to go. I had one of mine in an up to the knee cast and there wasn't a whole lot he didn't do. - Autoalice  154.6 #2447 4:43PM

It's due to it being in a building and all buildings have to be inspected.  Also, it's safer for guests to be out in an open area (Town Square) than inside a building in the event of a larger occurrence.  - IDVandalSkipperCM  1895.6 #58 2:45PM

I think my life would be the same as it's been. I would have found something else to be a fan of. Some other films to be a collector of.  I believe society as a whole is adaptive so if there was no Disneyland there would have been something.
Think about all of the people who've been inspired to do great things based on Walt's dreams and visions. I think Walt was more than a movie maker and an amusement park builder--he was a visionary who inspired people to do great things that have shaped our history and culture. Would those people have been inspired regardless? I think our world as we know it would be very different without Walt's willingness to move forward against all odds.  - Admin 2:03PM

It's a very scary thought to think what the world would be like without Walt Disney??? My love of cars would be greatly affected ie. The Absent Minded Professor, Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo, The Tale of Toad Hall, the Gnome Mobile. My love of animation The Jungle Book, Bed Knobs & Broom Sticks, Mary Poppins, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White & the Seven Dwarves... Not to mention how much I exercised my imagination every time I saw Peter Pan or 101 Dalmations or Darby O'Gill and the Little People or the inspirational music to any Disney Movie or any Disneyland Ride that sparked the feel good emotions of my younger years! Disneyland is never complete and always changing.....I'd get a book because it only gives good clues where they are and you can always find others on your own that aren't published.
Buying the book has made it seem so much more fun, because now we actually can find some.  The book only gives you good clues, it doesn't actually tell you.  Before it seemed nearly impossible to find hidden Mickeys. - Gabster1  403.3 #457 6:20AM
