Fantasmic Dining Advice? Party of 5 and grandma will be in a wheelchair. We would like to dine at Blue Bayou, but I was told on the phone that they do not allow wheelchairs in the Blue Bayou Fantasmic Viewing Section with a wheelchair. I just want to make sure that is the case, before we dine there. I was told we could sit there last year, but we had to cancel our reservations   More...

When we went a few weeks ago I saw people in scooters in the blue bayou section. Though, it could just be that a CM made a different decision that night. - BAMBAM  1533.2 #0 4:21PM
Try the River Belle Terace ,the food is good and plenty of room for grammys wheelchair and great viewing of the show!!!!! - TheHubs  227.9 #1798 7:22PM
We did the BB in may and I was in a wheel chair. We had no problem with Fantasmic. But had to leave it outside at the restaurant. - toarrispirate  807.2 #289 9:33PM
Yea, gma will be able to walk into BB, but will need it during Fantasmic. Where did you sit for Fantasmic, toarrispirate? - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 8:47AM
You will have to sit in the back. But everyone has to sit so she will have the best seat no heads to block her view. Have fun. - toarrispirate  807.2 #289 10:49AM
Perfect! That's where we sat in the past when they didn't have the dining packages. Thanks, toarrispirate! - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 11:11AM
Uh... Every time I worked Fantasmic we let wheel chairs in to dining package areas. You just have to push it all the way back against the white rope since the entire area is sitting. - CM_Shadowgamer  2687.0 #67 10:01AM

My hubby is at Disneyland and says he can not find the charging lockers for your phone. Have they been removed? A cast member had no idea what he was talking about. Thanks!

I haven't used them at DL for some time so I'm not sure if they have indeed been moved, but the last time I used them they were at Main St. lockers by Market house. They are on the wall to the right as you enter. There's only about 24 of them I think. - HARR_E  8206.1 #18 4:23PM
Thank you! - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 4:27PM
They used to be in the locker area behind Market House (Starbucks). I hear CMs send people there a lot so hopefully they are still there. I have a charger I always carry because I never get my phone to last. - DLKenCA  3779.0 #50 10:48PM

Hi, everyone! Long time, no "see" :) I hope you are all doing well. I need to get back in to healthy habits again. I do so much better when I have accountability and you all have always helped me. I was curious if there was a "CHUB33" Facebook group or an Interest in one? The MW app/website can be hard to use sometimes and I thought a closed, private group might work well. What do you all think?

Welcome back!  I'd be into a FB page.  Keep us posted! - msdizmaui  1122.9 #206 4:36PM

Hey friends! Sorry, I've been MIA this week. Hubby worked a lot this week. I have lost a total of 4 pounds since I started my "lifestyle change" journey. Not sure how many weeks it took me to lose that. This week has been difficult. I've been over eating and bootcamp was hard. I'm dealing with painful shin splints and I'm not able to exercise at my best ability. It's really discouraging which is p  More...

Hope you get the shin thing worked out! I'm not exactly sure what that is, but it sounds painful. And ANY loss is good so don't be so hard on yourself! Dieting can be easy - changing your lifestyle is hard! I know - I'm working on a few changes right now too. This new program I'm on is helping to curb my night snacking (which has always been my downfall). What big changes are you making, if you don't mind my asking? - msdizmaui  1122.9 #206 12:30AM
Exercising regularly and eating frequent small meals. My main issues more whole life have been... Wait till I'm super hungry and then over eat, having a huge glass a milk and cookies before bed. It's been my M.O. for as long as I can remember. I realized these habits were going to make it very difficult to be healthy. - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 2:15PM

Hope its ok to share this pic! She was showing me her "plank". She kept cheering "great job, mama" when I was lagging behind the group. I may have not been able to keep up with everyone, but I kept going! Woot!

Well, my first week at the gym and I lost 1 measly pound. *sigh*

You know what they say....weight loss happens in the kitchen, fitness happens in the gym. I know when I started training hard, I didn't lose any weight. My body was trying to hold on to all of its reserves. But I did start losing inches. Make sure you are measuring yourself because you may see more results that way. - D55CR  249.9 #1508 12:56PM
Don't let it get you down, last week I only lost 1 pound. I feel your pain. Keep at it. The scale will catch up. Keep at it! - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #457 1:24PM
One week ago I found a mama fitness buddy on Craigslist (I was desperate and the few friends I do have are not available). We met up and get along great. Today we are trying out baby boot camp and I am pumped up! I'm optimistic this will be the answer to my exercise problems! Stay tuned for update. :) - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 7:45AM

1 pound lost is better than 1 pound gained! And you're smart to try out new ways to work-out. I didn't have great experiences at the gym either (a person once asked me to get off the treadmill - they were all full and the person said that it was obvious I wasn't really into my workout! It was my first week! I was trying! Walking my dog in the park is my thing! - msdizmaui  1122.9 #206 1:02AM

Hi, friends! Thank you for all the ideas on workouts. I tried doing a few different workout videos at home, but our living room is very small and limiting me. I have been doing more walking, but being that it rains a lot in Oregon I had a feeling that I wouldn't be consistent. With that said, I found out I get a discount through my insurance for a gym membership and joined a gym yesterday! I have   More...

Wow what a rude woman and totally wrong in her assessment!.. What has worked for me and it sounds silly but I bring all of my chub33 pals withe in my workouts!.. Her whole talk was very passive agressive. Lol! You all are awesome! - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 11:49PM
That sounds like a great plan! You might also look at an app called GymPact. It uses your GPS to track how many times you go to the gym. You contract for a certain number of times per week, and if you miss a work out it costs you $5. But if you make all your workouts each week, you get paid. So it keeps you accountable to go, even when you would have otherwise been tempted to skip it. - D55CR  249.9 #1508 10:37AM

Thank you for all the support. I read this while I was on the bike and treadmill today and it was great motivation. I talked to the sales managerthat I first met when I went in to find out about membership and while he was very nice, all he did was say he was sorry and that he would talk to her about it. Even though my hubby wasn't happy with the way she treated me, he's thinking of joining so I can have support at the gym and his friend from work is going to show us how to work out properly. - Fanatic4Disney  268.5 #1334 10:55PM

Hi, everyone! I have been naughty ever since we got back from Disneyland. I went back to my old eating habits and now feel worse about myself than I did before I started WW. I need to get healthy and if not for me, for my kiddos. Could everyone share their choice of workout?

I don't have a specific program I follow (maybe I should). I do a morning circul before my shower to get things started. It takes me about 5-10 min. I do squats, lunges, sit ups or whatever I can think of. For me it starts my day off feeling like I'm already invested in an on plan day. I walk as much as I can during the day. - Mrs.mouse  543.6 #457 2:19PM
Hi there! Right now I'm training for the half marathon, so I do a lot of running. Usually, though, I try to balance cardio, strength training, and flexibility. For cardio, I alternate between running, using the elliptical, and riding my road bike; I love kettlebells for strength training; and for flexibility, I prefer Pilates. I also like doing crossfit workouts every so often. I have heard great things about the Tracy Anderson Method, though I haven't tried her DVDs. Hope this helps a bit! Whatever you do, remember to vary your workout to prevent injury caused by repetitive motion and stress, and to "trick" your muscles (so that you don't plateau). - Spoonful_O_Sugar  724.8 #334 4:02PM
I love Jillian Michaels' DVDs, and the one I'm using currently (alternating with the Couch to 5 K plan) is her "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" DVD. That one is tough, but I also like her "Ripped in 30" and "30 Day Shred"--with those you can start easier and work your way up to harder. Like mentioned above, if you enjoy it, you'll do it more often, so find what works for you. - GheeButtersnaps  377.6 #708 10:37PM
