Completely agree. We leave in 2 days and this will be Mia's 4th trip to DL. She will be 2.5 in June. She is very excited. She keeps telling us she is going on an "airpane in the sky to go to DL and see fireworks." Lol!

It's been a while, but I cooked it once. I put it in the oven on a baking sheet. Cut length wise and seasoned with Olive Oil, salt & pepper. Then you can use a fork and it will shred. Maybe search Pinterest for some good recipes. I cant remember how long to bake it in the oven.
I tried one once and it was a major failure (and it was supposedly a "can't fail" microwave recipe). I'd like to hear tips/suggestions on this one also. - msdizmaui

I put it into the steamer on the stove wait bout 7-10 minutes an then fork shred it out onto a plate. I squeeze a Meyer lemon and a paper thin bit a butter with lemon pepper and herbs sprinkled on it. Maybe a dash of Parmesan on it too. - Plumiegirl

I punctured holes in the spaghetti squash and boiled it for about 30 min. I then allowed it to cool, cut it along the equator scooped out the seeds, then used a fork to pull the strans. I put the squash into the sauce I had made and allow to cook for 30 min. I find that if its cooked more its not as crunchy and takes of a more pasta like texture. I need to start counting again. I just started Emeals, so I've been focusing on that. We leave for DL next Thursday and since we only visit once, maybe twice a year. I'm not going to focus on counting. Plus, we have smaller meals a lot because we are so focused on taking care of the kiddos that we don't stuff ourself in one sitting. I gave up soda a while back. I've been keeping an ice tea jar in the fridge with water and fruit in it. Right now it has pomegranates seeds in it. It doesn't take much to infuse it with a little flavor. When I am ready for a drink I add a little stevia to it, and maybe a splash of lemon juice. Last week I used sliced strawberries in it. MDM, have you tried flavored mineral water? We get a big flat at Costco for 6-7 bucks. No artificial sweeteners and it's bubbly, so it is kinda like soda. I also do what Vickie does with tea and ice water: just slice up fruit and throw it in a pitcher and keep it in the fridge. In my weight loss journey, I have lost 55lbs and am still amazed of what i can do. I had lost 90lbs way back in 2004-7 and just resumed the original point system. I dug all my journals out and am using the old cardboard points finder slide rule. I should takea look at the newer version but I am swamped with the end of the school year tasks. I'm a school nurse. I stopped counting years ago in order to finish my masters degree thesis and did not get back on because I like to eat. Age and health are now the priority. It is easier this time because I know what I have to do. The weight and program are a given. - Plumiegirl
