I have a question for all those who have done the half marathon in the past. I am thinking of doing one in October. But how long did it take to train / what did you do to train for it / how much in shape were you before compared to when you started your traning?

I did Tinkerbell half and Princess half last year. Started out at over 200 and could not run a quarter mile. I finished Tink and Princess! I did the Galloway method (run/walk intervals). Met some fantastic people and had a blast! Doing dumbo, princess and Tinkerbell again. All levels of runners are welcome. - nitabird 153.2 #2288 5:49PM

If you go to the runDisney page they have some training runs giving you 12-14 weeks training for their runs. I followed that and have now completed 4 Disney Half Marathons. I wasn't in shape prior to or really during but start training and keep going. Good luck! - dmgirl 26.8 #4622 5:51PM

Have you all heard of this? You can check into hotels and wait times from this?

Currently, this technology with the RFID is only at Walt Disney World and is in the beta testing stages. Although, I did see a CM scanning tickets with a iPhone yesterday at the DL Main Entrance gate. - BaseballMickey_CM 2993.9 #15 7:15PM
