Hi to all... 6 days til WDW with my beautiful 18 yr old daughter...an soon to be a Disney College member.. question for anyone: i know they have post office drops at each park but if i mail from there do the packages or mail get a special Disney postmark? i thought it would be cool to send our nephew his ears from there... hope to some MW'rs soon.. we r Disneyland MW alumni...cant wait to meet som More...

being heating impaired (i wear aidd & only 85% deaf without them ) i was excited when someone told me March 17&18 is dedicated to deaf and sign language. . is this true? also heard there is a special mickey shirt for the event i hope i can order. .anyone have other info. i tried to search to see if someone posted something but no such luck.. thanks and have s good evening

I took ASL as my foreign language for my undergrad degree. Unfortunately I've forgotten a lot of it because I never practiced. The School for the Deaf in Riverside offers free classes (well they use to anyway). I want to relearn - KissDclown 1088.1 #77 8:18PM

Where do you live Vanessa? The school district my daughter will be in offers free lessons as well (Centralia in Anaheim). You might also want to check out Irvine since they have a really good program/schools for deaf/hearing impaired children. - LBChica 1500.3 #52 10:39PM

@KDc my daughter learned to sign in HS as her asst softball coach was deaf. All the girls learned a little, but HBHS taught it and so did GW college. If you go on eBay or Amazon they have video of the classes she took. so excited. my 17yr old got a snow day at school ( icee rosds) an i have day off. . we r making it a beauty and the beast movie day!! It was a cool idea in concept, but in real life it was terrible. Not adding banked turns ruined the entire experience due to having to slow way down to make a turn. That and the fact it was always breaking down sealed it's fate. I also despised the fact they took out 2 attractions to set it up. - shadowgamer 1954.3 #37 7:41AM

In addition to this info...I've read that they looked into re-doing it in some form by putting more money into it...but would have to add ladders for emergency exits to get down off the platforms and Disney thought that would clutter up and ruin the look of Tomorrowland.
