I just have to say this: to all the CMs that work the security search/checkpoints before you enter, thank you for always being so kind and happy. I have never met nor encountered a rude CM there and, I can imagine, they deal with crabby people all day who don't want to be searched which could easily effect their attitude; but each CM maintains a professional and uplifting Disney spirit that welcom  More...
I believe that if you've ever worked in a service industry and/or a former CM, You tend to understand what these fine folk deal with constantly. We've all seen how shamefully rude "guests" are to the hardworking CMs. I think that we all find ourselves being a little bit of a better person when we visit the parks. Oh and I think my sleeeeepy time meds might finally be kicking in. A warm hearted thank you to anyone is. Great way to brighten someone's day. - Butterlina  1436.9 #86 1:25AM

I always say thanks to them every time I go through now. I have 2 dogs I travel with and one time I accidentally dropped one of their leashes and before I knew it my little girl took off running, the CM at bag check was so quick she was able to yelled at the security who was able to catch her for me and since my bag had fallen off the table and she helped pick up the stuff for me, and also had the security guard help me to get to the kennels. thats why now I make it easy for them to check my bags and bring a dog stroller with me. - aliasgrrl86  220.1 #1582 2:17AM

A question for everyone that my wife and I always ask when we are on the Haunted Mansion: if given the opportunity, would you walk through the Haunted Mansion by yourself? Walk in, start the elevator, get on the ride, and exit without anyone there? Honestly, I don't think I could. With somebody the ride is fun, but to ride let alone walk through it alone is a little too brave for me.
Dream come true! I think it would be awesome! I would definitely do it ๎— - erincredible  206.6 #1771 2:34PM

believe it or not, I did.  about 10 or so years back, end of the night.  Kinda awkward with just me and the CM in the elevator. - TheBudd  357.3 #557 3:33PM
Being a Disney Fannatic I know the HM like the back of my hand so I would say I would do it just to do it for the experience. - Donaldfan_532  230.5 #1454 3:43PM
No way! I can't even ride this ride by myself. I cried twice, one time because the CM in the elevator somehow snuck up behind my sister and I, and when the lights turned on I saw him next to my sister, smiling creepily and I yelled so loud everyone turned around and I started crying because.. Well I cry when I get scared lol. A year later, I tried again... Same CM, he must followed us to our buggy and he was on the side holding on, so when we were all settled he slowly peeked in and once again...I yelled and cried. I have never been on since and refuse to even walk by. Lol - Khuckabey  3.2 #30282 6:05PM

Hey all! I'm considering surprising my wife with a 3 day trip to Disneyland while staying at the Grand Californian. We have been AP holders for years, but we've always talked about staying at the hotel. I know it is expensive, but for those who have done it was it worth it? Is there anything special about it like room service, breakfast, enter park early, etc? When is a good time to stay (i.e.   More...
The Grand is nice, conveniently located and has a fabulous lobby to relax in. I think the DL Hotel has a magic feel that is lacking at The Grand. So, it depends what you are looking for. I am glad I was able to experience staying at The Grand but I wouldn't stay there again....unless I got an amazing deal.  - Jewelz  506.6 #355 10:21PM
I haven't done it yet but I know hotel guests can take advantage of magic morning hours which I believe are listed on the Disneyland calendar so you can plan in advance! :) I hope you and your wife have a great time whichever idea you decide to do! :) - SarahJoshDisney  77.8 #3675 10:16PM
What a sweet surprise. I hope one day to stay at the Grand. Haven't stayed there but it is very pretty. - nocaldisneylover  4.0 #20418 10:25PM
To be fair though... I think I should add that it's def nice to be able to experience it once. - Poisen_Ivy  269.5 #1030 10:26PM

I couldn't get a picture fast enough, but has anyone noticed that the speakers that are behind the rider on Space Mountain look like Mickey? One big center speaker and two little ones on top. Totally noticed that last night.
Yes! I noticed that last time I was there. Its definitely a good hidden Mickey. - akeleh  293.5 #831 1:28PM

Hey everyone, I have a question: my wife and I are big Disneyland people and go probably twice a week. Well, our 2 year anniversary is on November 21st and I would love to take her to Club 33. Is there any way to get in? I know it is near impossible unless you know someone, but I don't know anyone lucky enough to join. I know it is a bogus idea that won't end up happening, but if it could asking   More...

To be honest I know we are all a MW family in a way that we share a common intrest but I would never feel comfortable asking complete strangers that I didn't even really introduce myself too, to do me such a huge favor! That's just IMO!! - Littlecuppycake  185.3 #2033 10:13AM
Maybe Admin can put a note in the MW welcome packet, about the exclusivity of Club 33, and how those of us with memberships (hahahaha) are not likely to part with them, even to family members, so please wait until it is offered. - SorcererBHhaha  409.0 #461 10:13AM

Standing in line for The Little Mermaid with my wife and our friends. Gotta say, it isn't my favorite ride; but I'll do it for my wife cause she loves it.

Two questions: 1. Where is your favorite place to relax at Disneyland that you know nobody else will be? 2. What is one secret that you discovered about the park or ride that you think nobody knows about and would like to share? For me on #1 there is a little 'cove' area by Splash Mountain near where people watch those on the ride go down the drop. Nobody goes into that little area and it is  More...

Hi everyone! I'm new, but have been reading and 'lurking' around MW for some time. Decided to stop putting it off and finally join. My wife and I spend tons of time at D-Land and are pass holders. Our dating days were spent there and I actually proposed to her in the courtyard of the Grand Californian! So it holds a special place for us. Anyhow, hope to participate with everyone often!
