I need some tips for getting thru DLR and DCA during the first official week of Spring Break March 18-24 without completely going crazy. I can only imagine the lines will be nuts. We are going to do that Tuesday thru Friday. Any helpful tips would be appreciated.
Get there earlier and grab Fastpasses when you can. Check out the stage shows when the parks are crowded. Don't forget the small shows that pop up periodically (Dapper Dans, Green Army Men, Five & Dime, etc) - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 10:36PM
I think you're actually on the early end of spring break, so that may work in your favor. The weeks before and after Easter tend to be the busiest. It will still be busy, though, so make good use of Fastpass and take advantage of any early entry options you may have. Have fun!!! - PrincessKristin  774.5 #126 10:42PM

I recently read "the unofficial disneyland guide book" it has an itinerary that works you away from the hot spots if possible. It has a guide for people with little kids or big kids. It seamed very practical! Lots of good tips too! - julietyler76  4.1 #12944 11:48PM

Quick ? Trying to schedule our dining for our trip from March 19-22. Disneyland's website does not have the entertainment up for that week yet. Normally, for busy spring break times will they have two parades a day at the DLR? My kids always want to see the parades so I book our dinners around that. Thanks for the info, if anyone knows it's you guys!!
They should. That's about the time that our peak spring break scheduling time starts for CMs and we have to have full availability again. - IDVandalSkipperCM  1291.3 #63 10:51AM
Are the times usually 3pm and 7pm? I just can't remember. I guess I can make a few resos then cancel? I just don't want to call later and things be booked. Thanks so much for your help. - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7116 10:52AM
4 and 6:30. - IDVandalSkipperCM  1291.3 #63 10:58AM
IDVanda, you are correct. I called Disney Dining and they actually had an entertainment schedule past what they are posting on the website. Character and main dining all booked! Thanks a lot. - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7116 11:34AM

Frequent visitors...we are finally able to come back to DLR in March. However, we have to go during busy spring break time due to my University schedule. Which would be less crowded... Tue-Fri or Wed-Sat?? I assume the former...
I would say Tues-Fri. Not entirely sure though. We don't go as often as we'd like. I would guess avoiding the weekends is the way to go. Hopefully someone can give you a better answer! Have fun planning! - melissa_ficent  317.9 #530 3:46PM

Poll-You have a 5 yo, 6 yo, & 18 mo. If you had the opportunity, would you bring your sitter/nanny with you for a 6 day Dland vacay? We only get to go once a year. Figured sitter would help with baby to make riding w/older kids easier.
At first I thought we were rappin' with those yo's and mo. 😂 It's time for bed. - AshleyLynn22  747.6 #136 11:49PM

I say yes if you can afford it. That's actually how I got to go to DL and stay at the Grand for 5 days once and as the "extra adult" for two kids and a pregnant mom, I was totally grateful and had a blast. They even gave me time to hang out with my friend who lives down there. - cesium55  529.7 #216 1:36AM

For our trip in 2013 we want to splurge and stay at the resort. What is your favorite resort hotel and why?
I prefer the DLH over the Grand...everything about it is Disney perfect! - Darlingwendi  643.7 #168 12:59PM
The Grand is beautiful but DLH is my preference. All remodeled and very Disney and indoor/outdoor restaurants are great and not too crowded. Pool areas are more fun too. Paradise is not on DTD and you have to cross the street (plus pool is in back elevated above a parking structure) - ShariRenee  1505.7 #51 1:03PM
The Grand is quiescent and the views are mesmorizing. Love being on the upper levels where the tree tops are - SThooray  6.3 #8757 6:08PM
Tried all and love The Grand. Love the entrance to CA! - tschoolitz  6.6 #8478 6:10PM

Yeah obviously!! She talks to people going into the parks all day when she drops off these strollers, so someone told her this. I'm glad it is not true!!! Was making me sad all day...as a child (and now an adult) the mickey balloons are one of my favorite things in the park. - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7116 10:21PM

Long Time, no talk MW friend's!! I was wondering how many of you on here moved to or around Anaheim just so you could enjoy DL more? Is it easy to find professional jobs in the area? I would love to be closer to the magic one day. :)
I told my hubby that I wanted to move to our apartment here in Anaheim because I love the property (plus he gets an employee discount) but secretly, I wanted to be closer to DL! Irvine has more professional jobs & it's about 30 min away with traffic. It's worth it. 😃 - Vegan7LuvsStitch  799.6 #116 9:54PM

good question, i've always wondered that too. bump! - rbeezy  653.6 #160 3:51PM
Us too! I bought gc's every time my husband got paid. Had to make sure we had enough souvenier $ ;-) We went to Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen tonight and it was just horrible! So overpriced for the food they served...tasted mediocre...slow service..blah. - DisneyLuva4Life  9.0 #7116 10:33PM

I think they should sell the robes to prevent the germ/lice issue and then secure your child a chance at fighting the Dark side..to me its sad to see the kids that didn't get picked to have to just sit there - yellowtonka  237.7 #1136 11:35PM
