when they did a testing, I guess the water hovers over the vents due to the strength of the air pushing against it. not sure if it'll close the ride, but I'm sure at least it won't be a popular ride in the rain. and the water could fall in the vent when the air pressure lowers (when guests are getting on/off the ride).
I asked one of the CMs operating the ride last week-what happens when it rains?- and he said "the water flies up in the air." he said they will only close it when the CMs on either side of the ride can no longer see each other. - WhyIsTheRumGone
