Second, one week I leave for Seattle, this means 10 days till Disneyland!! Going to be in the park on the 24 for sure, and MHP on the 29. My boyfriend, dad and I will have RAKs to give away!! Getting very impatient!!
I leave in 9 days!! 9 days!! Means 12 days till I'm in the park. Only not so good part, Ursula has stolen my voice!! Had a wicked head cold for the last week. But at least it's before I left. Have a magical day!!
So as of today, I'm headed to Seattle in 13 days!! This means Disneyland in 16 days. Headed down with my dad and boyfriend. We are taking the train. We are going to the Halloween party on the oct 29. It's all of ours first time going for Halloween. We are dressing up as a fireside girl, dr d and major monogram from phineus and ferb. I'm getting impatient. I am going to be having raks while I'm dow More...
So I have a Disney related but non Disney question... And you guys know a lot. I'm thinking about getting an e-reader. Which one do you have and how much do you like it? And to make it Disney related, headed to Seattle in 19 days, this means Disneyland in 22 days!! Yay!!
This is where I'm at for my vacation!! So close its going to be here before I know it. My first time to DL for Halloween, first party on oct 29. Also going to medieval times and Legoland. 14 days in Aneheim it's self. I can not wait. Post lots of pumpkin pics today, please. *kisses*
I know Disneyland is all halloween'd up, does DCA have any decorations up? On a side note only 34 days till Seattle and 37 days till I'm walking into Disneyland!! 5 day park hoppers and the Halloween party on oct 29!! Woohoo!!
Ok, I've searched the Internet and the disneyland website is mucked up for me right now. I had heard BTMRR was going to be closed in October. Is this really happening or has it been delayed? Im going to DL October 24- November 4 and BTMRR is my boyfriends fave ride. Thanks for the help!!
So I've been having a really stressful time at work. To the point I almost quit last week. But I have to keep saving money. So when I get stressed, I think to myself 49 days till Disneyland over and over. It will have been just over 2 years since my last trip and my first for Halloween. Needless to say, I love the live pics that involve Halloween. Have a great day everyone.
Things I've always wanted to ask but didn't know where to get an answer...: I know it looks like the fireworks go off above the castle, but where exactly is the launchers. Or are they mobile and that's why fantasyland closes early?
Sadly not live. But 2 years ago today I left for DL with my boyfriend. It was his first trip and was super magical. But now I'm really ready to go again. In October we (plus my dad) are going. It will be my dads first trip in over 12 years. It's going to be magical all over again. Everyone there today, tell Mickey I'll see him soon and have a blast!!
Random question: does DL still have the make your own bracelet or keyring bead stations in stores? You could pick the beads, make someone's name etc? I was thinking about doing this for some co workers in October. Thanks!
I have a silly question. Do girls like Cars? I have 2 Toy Story RAKs and 6 Cars RAKs. I'm just wondering if I should have some princess stuff. I don't have kids so I'm Linda outta the loop. October 25 can't get here soon enough!!
This is MrMOMzers wonderful picture with a little magic added! We've been beta testing the MouseWait Advanced Composer for awhile now. This allows approved MWers to create their own "column" in the Lounge with expanded posts, pics, and videos inside the post. We are ready to open this feature up to more people who are intersted in having their own MouseWait Column in the Lounge. Your posts could be featured on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and seen by our 100,000+ strong social media audience!
This feature is best used for instructional posts, history posts (like Duchess_SMK's column), and for reporting news (i.e. BaseballMickey_CM's posts). You could also do this to create a post describing your recent visit to the Parks with multiple pictures, videos, and more--think of it like an article that would appear in a magazine. The Advanced Composer only works on the web version. GO HERE TO APPLY and watch your email for more info (make sure you're email client is not blocking our emails or sending them to Spam--for some reason icloud.com, me.com, and mac.com will not allow our messages to come through.)
Thank you to everyone who strives to add quality content to the Lounge! Thanks again to MrMOMzers for the amazing picture!
Mr. Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. He was the fourth born Disney son. He was named after his parents pastor and friend Walter Parr, a preacher at St. Paul Congregational Church. The pastor, in turn, will later name his son Elias, after Walt's father.
Most of Walt's childhood was spent on a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, where his love for trains really developed. His Uncle, Mike Martin, was a train Engineer who worked on the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt would later work a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers and snacks to the travelers. To read more about Walts love for trains

To watch a short biography of Walts life:
Walt and Lillian Disney with unnamed friend, London, 1935.
Walt Disney in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the American dream! He represents: imagination, optimism, creation, and self-made success in the American tradition. He brought us closer to the future, while telling us of the past, it is certain, Walt Disney was a great man! He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world! Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon characters we all love to watch today. :) He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of the magical playgrounds that ties us all together, Disneyland and Disney World. Had he been alive today he would be 112 years old! Happy birthday Walt! Thank you so much for believing in your dreams! You are a true inspiration.
In honor of today, it would be fun if we all mentioned our favorite quote from Mr. Disney. I'll go first, I have many, but this one always sticks out:
"I've always been interested in the past and history and I think it's vital."
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!
