Aaaaaaaand were back. Let us begin with the fact that I am well known to lack typing skills. I'm finding it unbearably embarrassing that these shortcuts as it were have invaded the language and are being tolerated as the vernacular. It is of no wonder why The United States' rate of literacy pales as to the rest of The World. Yet another thought crosses my feeble mind: I have encountered many a highly intelligent person that does have a command of the English Language and is therefore witty enough to be able to use it in a way that they are able to convey their messages to The World in a semblance of snark. Unfortunately this hold true for very few. A few weeks ago while training a student our office, I was quite disturbed where asked her to draft a letter to other potential candidates to our practice. Her verbal skills did not reveal to me that her knowledge of the written language was so poor. I cannot fault our Educators. I cannot fault the students. Who I am placing blame and shame upon is our lazy society. One that feels that they are entitled to anything and everything without the slightest inkling of achievement nor responsibility.
