First off let me just say, I'm baaaack! Second, I've done a search and come up short so ease allow me to pose this question: is there a Disneyland Moms group in existence? A friend would like to start one with me and I'm game but it seems like something that would already be in existence. She's basically thinking of something along the lines of playdates in the park, breakfasts, even mom's nights   More...

There's the not so active stroller crew. There used to be alot of these meetups but I haven't heard much of them nowadays. I believe they even had t-shirts at one point -  1787.2 #117 7:46PM

Thanks for the support and encouragement! I will talk to my friend and see how she wants to go about doing it. I'm hesitant to ever really plan anything because I have terrible luck with people actually showing up. Maybe she will do better. My pass isn't valid on weekends (we waited too long to renew and couldn't afford the higher pass). - mandigutterrose  156.5 #2803 1:39PM

I haven't been on in a while but I still wanted to share this. My son received a Disney gift card for his first birthday. We took him shopping on Main Street at the end of his birthday trip to Disneyland and he chose this Thumper with big open-mouthed baby kisses!

Just came through on my Twitter feed, sorry if it's already been posted RT @disneyauditions: Seeking Disney Character performers for Fantasmic! this Sunday, December 2nd in Anaheim. #DisneyAuditions

Hoping for some creative input: my husband and I are going to take my parents' to DL as their Xmas present. My dad has never ridden Dumbo and I would like for his first ride to also be my son's first ride on it (he'll be 7 months come Xmas). I'm just not sure how to present the idea. Since we are getting APs I was thinking of going before Xmas and taking a picture of my son on the stationary Dumbo  More...

Oh, I love the idea of the photo. Then you could take a picture of them riding together and frame them next to each cute! And yes, the last time we were there (last week) the Dumbo was still there. - goofymom2boys  1546.2 #142 4:35PM
Thank you! We went for Halloween but didn't have time to hit Fantasyland and with all the changes they've made since our passes expired, I was afraid they might have taken it out. - mandigutterrose  156.5 #2803 6:48PM
I wonder if there is a good photo online you could cut and paste in and edit to present to your dad in case you cannot get to the parks in time? - secretagentangel  16085.8 #5 7:09PM

My anniversary is tomorrow and I found the PERFECT card at Walgreens. I didn't even look at the price (turna out it was only $3.49) I just had to have it for my husband. Carl and Ellie's story is so close to our own, he's going to love it.

Just wanted to share and put the idea out there: These are my son's Halloween costume photos; I used the scenery props outside of the Villains tent behind Big Thunder Ranch. It was easy to find an area out of guest's walking areas and easier than buying props or trying to find a decent spot at a pumpkin patch. Just wanted to pass along the idea to parents who might still need Halloween photos of t  More...

Mr. Smee's first visit to Disneyland

Thanks all! He was such a trooper! He took little ten/fifteen minute power naps and woke up whenever there was something neat going on. He loved being in the Submarine (I'm pretty sure he thought the porthole was a tv) and he did SUPER on the drops in POTC. I was worried for nothing. :) Five months old and already a thrill fiend, lol. - mandigutterrose  156.5 #2803 12:42PM

I feel less silly asking this question here than calling the dining line: Are all restaurants in Disneyland open and taking reservations during the Halloween events?

I think they are open during the party. - GoofyMom77  1202.9 #186 5:00PM

Well not going to Disneyland on Tuesday. Sold out. Really disappointed because now my son can't ride Small World. This seems to happen every time I get excites about something. I know that sounds self-pitying (first world problems, I know) but it's incredibly frustrating.

Wait! What?!?!?! Do you mean that the Halloween party is sold out? Say it isn't sooooo!!!!!!!!! - LittleAprilShowers  593.1 #408 9:37PM

I don't think he would go for it, seeing how he didn't want to pay $46 and that's how I ended up missing the cut off. 😔 maybe we'll go and hang out until closing time and then head to dca for the night. 😏 - bluefairy  643.8 #373 9:44AM

Quick question: my son is 26ins, can he ride POTC? I meant to email guest services but now I won't get a response in time before our trip. I'm looking to avoid disappointing my husband by learning the ride restrictions for our son before we get to the park. Thanks!

I took my toddler when he was like a month old. No height requirement. After he had his first set of shots. Everything in fantasy land, haunted mansion, buzz ride. Plenty of rides. Have fun. - Splashmountgirl  337.1 #837 12:39PM
Took my son on it when he was 2. Don't even remember his height. A friend of mine took her daughter on it when she was an infant. As far as I know POTC does not have a height requirement. - EmperorsHandLelundrial  1111.2 #209 12:22PM
Yes, it says 'Any Height' on Disneyland's website. I have seen other people take infants and small children. He can sit in your lap, face forward. That is what we do with our two year old so we can hold on to him for the drops! Weee! LOL - rrrumpunch  269.9 #1319 1:54PM

My son is wearing the same creeper/onesie my parents put on me when I was a newborn, it's 27 years old! I'm hoping it lasts until he might be having kids. I was wondering if other MouseWaiters have Disney family heirlooms and if there are any good tips on preserving them.

I know ages of young children being taken to the park by eager parents has caused some debate here in the past, so I'm going to try to pose my question slightly differently. We've decided we absolutely won't be taking our baby to the parks but I was wondering: When were your kids actually able to recall details of their trips to Disneyland later than just the next day? We'd like to take advantage   More...

I think 3 and under is mostly parent memories for their kids, and 4 and up the kids have more memories for themselves - Villescas8  607.0 #398 7:06PM
I still remember my first trip and I was around 4. To this day I can recall my first time on POTC with my dad. - PrincessLeia  312.9 #974 7:38AM
Idk yet what she'll recall but we've taken our daughter since she was about 15 months old and is now 2-1/2. She knows Disneyland. She asks to go. She remembers things I didn't think she'd remember. She gets to the parking lot of DL and gets so excited. She starts saying all the different characters! She loves it! I hope that helps a little. - NurseJennJillO  314.6 #964 7:06PM
We first took our daughter at 3 months. She is 3 now, a Premium Passholder and we are at the parks every month or so. She also knows DL well. She knows in which direction the attractions are and she knows where the restroom are. - LaPearleNoir  3200.3 #58 3:59PM
I think it depends on the child. But for my daughter we went when she was 22 months and she still talks about it and wants to go again. It may help that I do talk to her about it when she mentions stuff and she watches a lot of the home videos \from when we went. BUT she also is good at remembering things, she remembers things I told her months ago and I don't even remember until she says these things! I think 2-3 is a good age to start. Under 3 is free anyways so what do you have to lose? - disneymommy0910  234.4 #1707 3:59PM
I started taking my daughter at 6 months old. And even though she would get excited and squeal. She didn't really grasp the magic of who is who at Disney until a year and a half. But im glad I took her when she was so young. She doesn't mind loud noisy environments, she's bot afraid of any of the rides she can go on. It's your decision but im glad I started ny daughter young. When she was a year and a half she would scream ,"Disney!!" When we entered the parking structure . - Queenof2princesses  259.6 #1414 4:02PM
