Thanks for the support and encouragement! I will talk to my friend and see how she wants to go about doing it. I'm hesitant to ever really plan anything because I have terrible luck with people actually showing up. Maybe she will do better. My pass isn't valid on weekends (we waited too long to renew and couldn't afford the higher pass).

There's the not so active stroller crew. There used to be alot of these meetups but I haven't heard much of them nowadays. I believe they even had t-shirts at one point - philliprocks  905.4 #172 7:46PM

Share an ice cream, do wine tasting in DCA, go through the displays and take your time reading the park history in the Opera House, see the shows the kiddos don't like sitting through, and be sure to have someone take a photo of the two of you to commemorate your Disney date.

Booze! A nice meal. Big kid rides you may not normally get to ride. Make out on Pirates. - Pollyanna702  225.7 #1541 5:55PM
Do all the "big kid rides" (if they're open) and maybe do one nice meal either breakfast or lunch and just enjoy your time together. One of the best times I had with my husband there before he was my husband we rode everything we wanted, tried on silly hats, and after the parade he was in the middle of Main Street collecting Mickey shaped confetti for my scrapbook because he knew I was going to scrapbook that day and I did. At the end of the day he even gave me his ticket to put with mine and it just so happened my ticket had Minnie and his had Mickey. Girls like the simple things. Enjoy your day! If you are on the DCA side by zephyr/jumping jellyfish and you see me (Tammy) say hi... - CM_Tamstirr  548.2 #326 9:05PM

I used to be one of those people, then I started taking my now 9 month old son, and I am now experiencing the magic all over again when I see his smile grow into a squeal when he watches the fireworks or sees Screamin' go roaring by our car on the Fun Wheel. He might not remember it, but for those few minutes he is the happiest little boy in the world.

It isn't about his memories but the experience you all have as a family - MarshaMouse  4073.9 #24 3:11PM

Ohhhhh! Absolutely adorable! Yes. The reason you bring a 18-month old to Disneyland is because that's how old he is! Are you expected to do nothing with a child until he is 5 simply because 'he won't remember?' That just doesn't make sense to me! - MeridaFan  3440.8 #28 3:23PM
Exactly! None if my friends ever understood why I would bring my kids from about 9 months on . They might not remember .. But I remember . All that matters is being "in the moment" and enjoying disneyland with your family - eviljules  1021.9 #154 4:27PM

You can usually buy an extra battery for any phone for under $5 on EBay. And today's sizes make it easy to slip a backup in a pocket or purse with no noticeable added weight. Cheapest solution.

Just so you know... Disneyland now discourages using outlets around the park for charging mobile devices. These are not rated for charging mobile batteries. There are special lockers at the Main Street Lockers which are equipped for charging these devices. You can choose one with an outlet or with the power adapter plug for your device. - IMissDisney  1205.4 #118 1:17PM
^this - BaseballMickey_CM  6372.1 #12 4:42PM
I had heard that Disney was putting these in. None of the cast member were able to give me a time frame on their implementation. I am glad the charging lockers are finally now active. - friendlymouse  727.7 #222 10:03PM

I do like the charging lockers... but there always seems to be a problem with the machine,or people not understanding the procedure on getting there stuff out. - Hop-Low  634.5 #269 8:52AM
As mentioned above, these sockets are nt in fact to be used by guests, but there are lockers with outlets, or even go to NewTrent.com and get a portable charger! It is a lifesaver in the parks, and it's a total MWer thing, you'll love it! Thank you! - AvidDisneyThrifter220  1341.9 #102 4:47PM

About a year and half ago there was a group of us that did pen pals. It was a lot of fun, but got tiring (for me) because I had soo many I couldn't keep track! lol But I wouldn't mind doing it again. - Armenda  1135.5 #129 10:18AM

I don't mind having about 5..but I literally had maybe 20 before. It was soo crazy! I didn't want to leave anyone out. lol Some people enjoyed doing email pen pals too if they wanted to participate but don't want to give out their physical address. - Armenda  1135.5 #129 10:26AM
Ha fair enough. I won't assign you twenty promise lol. And good call on the e-mail thing. Once i get more responses, if we do this, when I make the official post I'll have ppl put down what type they want and how many they are up for. Do u think there is any reason to have a minimum rank? - Poisen_Ivy  271.1 #1039 10:44AM
I don't think there should be a minimum rank. At Christmas time when the Secret Santa gift exchanged happen there was drama over excluding people. Just keep it open for anyone to wants to participate. If they can't keep their end of the deal, don't put their name on the list. - Armenda  1135.5 #129 10:56AM
Fair enough. I don't know where i was that I never saw the secret santa post lol. But if there were no issues there I see no reason it shouldn't be the same here - Poisen_Ivy  271.1 #1039 11:13AM
