I need help - taking my mom for mothers day and dad and brother for their birthdays (both this week!) to Disneyland tomorrow. Where should I make reservations for dinner (or something else festive)? My bro is 29, with developmental disabilities. Ideas?
Blue Bayou is always a favorite choice. You could also do Goofys kitchen if your family is into interacting with characters. Napa Rose if you want something spectacular. - JenInWonderland

I love Ariel's Grotto. Their World of Color package includes a three course meal and preferred viewing for the show. It might be a good idea to jump on this while you can as this package will be discontinued on June 15th. - dough

Do you know about how much this package is? I called and was on hold forever so I gave up. - erincredible 199.6 #1636 1:28PM
The WOC package at Ariel's Grotto has ended ...they are no longer offering that. It will now be at Carthay Circle resturant. - yellowtonka 237.6 #1134 1:41PM
Ok I checked again. $40 for an adult, not too bad! - erincredible 199.6 #1636 1:45PM
I just called and they have the three course meal then give you a preferred seating ticket. - erincredible 199.6 #1636 1:46PM
Friends - I am bringing my developmentally disabled brother to the Lands for his birthday on May 12 and I want to make it as special as possible! This is the highlight of his year and he will be 29 this year - a BIG deal for us. I appreciate any suggestions anyone has about how to make reservations (especially for the Lilly Belle!) or any special arrangements we can make for his special day :)
Do a character breakfast. I don't care who you are or what age you are, getting up close and personal with characters makes any trip memorable. Also, try to find out ahead of time what attractions will be closed so he doesn't get pumped up and then end up disappointed. - mandigutterrose

Lilly belle get there extra early and you will need to go to the train station on Main Street to make your reservation. They go quick! But if you want to have a nice dinner Blue Bayou is always great or Cafe Orlenes is great but you will also need to make reservations. I'm not sure the dining number but it's on the Disney website. A Birthday Button is always fun because he will be wished Happy
Birthday from many cast members as well as great people walking around the park! I hope and pray his birthday is the best!!! I can't wait to hear about the trip! - BubbaLoo

This is my disabled brother sitting at the Cove Bar with me right now Pretty sure people are judging me as a bad caretaker as I sit here and drink while he colors in his crown!
Oh, and he stole the crown and coloring stuff. - PinkTink

Ok, one last question - I haven't been on in a while, but am a member since the beginning of this wonderful place. I don't recognize most names posting except Coaster & Loridrives. Are the old-timers out there w/ new names?
I'm going to the park with my brother on my one on Thursday - he is mentally retarded and has ADHD. I am worried about leaving him on his own when I have to use the bathroom! Any suggestions? Or suggestions in general for visiting the park with a disabled adult? (he is 28) I am so nervous!
I don't have any personal experience but google is my best friend when looking for specific topics. Either way have an amazing and magical time at the park.:) - PopcornYeti

We went last year on New Year's Eve. Go early and get a locker right away if you're planning to stay till the evening. The lockers go quickly. We just stayed in the park all day in case it hit capacity, and having the locker gave us a good place to store stuff. Oh, and take some extra patience. It helps with the extra crowds. - JustGoofyDad

I agree BLG- I wasn't with them at the time but I heard about it right after it happened. The stupider part is that he had stood up once and been warned to remain seated. Not his finest and smartest moment. - LilSterner
