Back from Finland and not missing it one bit. If it weren't for my wife, I may have just married the theme parks. Great morning view btw. ;)

Finland is so beautiful!!   I LOVE FINLAND!!  I have not been back for a very long time.   My mother is Finnish. So that mean I am also.   Haha!!   - littlpluto  75.7 #4296 7:46AM
really?  How awesome!  I'm getting so excited about all of my fellow Finns on MW!! Where is she from?  - MinnieMousewife  928.2 #242 11:29AM
My mom was Finnish too. great genes! - Bo22  394.6 #661 7:34PM
My grandma and grandpa immigrated as a young kids from Finland, grew up in Helsinki I believe! I would love to some day go to Finland and see where my roots were born!  - WirTANenAtDisney  154.9 #2809 1:11PM
Since being with a Finnish woman, finding other Finns around SoCal have become our own version of finding hidden Mickeys. :). They're everywhere, yet difficult to spot at first glance. - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 8:24AM
I dunno... Finland is pretty awesome too.  πŸ˜¬πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ - DisneyFanZoe  1249.3 #168 7:11PM

Here's a quick cliff's if you don't want to get into specific notable persons: Nokia, Angry Birds, pretty much every Carnival Cruise ship you've ever been on, and the Linux operating system.  And Santa. - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 8:28AM
This is fun to know there's so many awesome Finnish people on here! I hope you're enjoying your trip...do you have kids? Do they speak Finnish? I want to teach mine but haven't gotten around to it yet. Do you love oltermanni cheese? Ok I'll stop now, thanks for letting me hijack your post and ask everyone about their Finland connections. πŸ˜€ - MinnieMousewife  928.2 #242 8:21PM
Haha. πŸ’™πŸ’™ your passion for Finland mate. I think you need to plan a trip πŸš…πŸ˜€ - RapunzelledColey  147.3 #2930 2:32PM
@RapunzelledColey 😁😁I'm very passionate about it and it's one of the true loves of my life so I got excited that he lives there. πŸ˜‚Probably asked too many questions. And yes, I do need a trip...been almost 3 years and I miss it terribly! - MinnieMousewife  928.2 #242 3:04PM
I hope you get back to Finland real soon MinnieMousewife . πŸ’™πŸ˜€ - RapunzelledColey  147.3 #2930 3:15PM
Our Disney vacation just ended, so I've time to reply now.  I have a 10y step-son and freshly-turned 7y daughter.  They speak both languages, but prefer English.  Oltermanni is the BEST (my wife's favorite).  I like Juustoleipa even more (the cheese that squeeks when you chew it).  And it's not hijacking... More like piggybacking or side-kicking.  :D - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 8:43AM

Geez, everything has either broken down, will break down, or refurbed today.

You're all right!  Disneyland is Disneyland, after all.  Thanks for the boost in motivation! - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 12:41PM
Sorry about your disappointment. That is a long way to travel. I am local so I can always return, but we were all set to go on Indy last week and it was closed. We proceeded to head over to Splash for a fast pass and that was closed. So we ended up on the canoes and catching a show at the Golden Horseshoe and had a blast. We probably would ha never done that. Drink lots of water today! - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3624.3 #50 1:03PM

Long time MW user, first time posting! Counting the days until my annual DLR trip in May. Used to be an easy drive from San Diego... now it's a 14+ hour trip from Finland + a wife and two kids. How have the park's crowd index been previously for the month of May?

Welcome! May is a good month weather wise. Crowd wise, if you come early in the month, its good. But later in the month it can be busy with schools starting to end and Memorial Day - BaseballMickey  9117.3 #14 12:07PM
Sounds good. We'll be making two resort trips this year. One early-to-mid May, and second during the first week of June... when our annual passports expire. Gonna be our first time checking out the concierge level rooms at PPH. Thanks for the feedback! - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 12:12PM
Went last year at the end of May beginning of June and the crowds were not too bad except for the Grad nights and the Sunday we were in the park was crazy busy. - missyandpaul  340.7 #804 3:27PM
ahhh, forgot about the grad nights! How did those days/nights affect your visit, if I may ask? - dhcjrew  28.4 #6730 4:22AM
