My son and I had such a great time last night. We only went on one ride because he wanted to shop mostly. We saw a bit of ElecTRONica and saw the fireworks. I really don't need to do much sometimes. Just being in that environment makes me feel so good. I especially like to sit by Paradise Pier and just take it all in.
I just had to say how neat the whole MW community is. Disneyland holds a special place for me. I didn't have the greatest childhood growing up and Disneyland provided the escape I needed as a kid. I would be filled with so much anticipation getting there. The site of the ticket books( this was back in the 70's and early 80's), was magical because each ticket represented a ride or attraction that I More...
My son and I are hitting the parks tomorrow! I absolutely can't wait! I've been having DL withdrawals since I came with my wife on Sunday. One problem- California Screaming. I am a total chicken when it comes to that thing. I mean serious fright and anxiety over that thing people. He wants to ride that thing with me sooo bad and I feel bad to let him down. I'll ride any and everything else, but I More...
So I want to get some input. When buying Disney movies on DVD is it better to go traditional DVDs or Blu-Ray? Im thinking in terms of bonus material and which format has the most releases. I don't own a Blu-Ray player, but am willing to get one if it's worth it. All input is greatly appreciated!
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
