What are your Disney area hotel recommendations? We usually stay in the same place, but I'm looking for something new and don't want to spend too much money on the room because I wanna splurge in the park.

What is too much $ to one person isn't to another. We like Parkvue Inn because it's directly across the street & includes free breakfast & free parking. The rooms just completed a remodel last year. They average about $160 a night  - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1745.2 #91 6:46PM
Under $200 preferably. We usually just drive up for a day trip, (home is 2 hours away) but we'll have our baby with us and I'm new to the whole 'bringing baby on vacation' thing lol  - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 6:55PM
FoolishMortal138 I've never stayed at Best Western right next door, their rooms are similarly priced but they charge for parking. At the end of the day if getting back quickly is a priority I'd look at Parkvue & BW but we like Parkvue - UTDISNEYFAMILY  1745.2 #91 7:36PM
Our family always stays at the Park Vue Inn as well. We have been staying there for years, and never have had a negative experience.  - DarthTinkerbell  585.4 #330 8:01PM
I found AirB&B to have the best options and you can even have your own pool 3 bedrooms and one bath for the price of a single room at the Disneyland hotel. - FrozenFamily  14.8 #8203 6:59PM
Do any of these hotels have a bell desk if you arrive before check in time?  I know DLH is great about this. - TinyDancerTay  125.5 #3053 11:13PM
Thanks everyone! I'm going to start making calls tomorrow.  - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 11:14PM

My 2012 Frankenweenie throwback for the day. I think it would be cool if he made it back to the cemetery for Halloween.

MWer's please share your secrets for bringing baby. We're officially going in September and our mini will be 9 months around then. I'm planning on bringing my own stroller and a baby carrier too. But what about nap times? Would staying for the loud fireworks be out of the question? I have so many worries, but I gotta go for the Halloween season and don't think I can leave my little guy at home.

We take our two grand babies almost weekly, the 6 month old struggles a bit with napping in the stroller,  the 1 year old hardly naps at the park, he takes it all in and enjoys running around. But if the youngest one really needs some quiet time we head to the baby center off Main Street, which has A/C, a kiddie table and a limited seating (4chairs) to sit indoors, away from the hussle and bussle of the park. It also has a nursing room with chairs to feed babies and could possibly be used to sit in there with baby while he/she naps. However, we're AP's and have only stayed once from opening until evening and the youngest slept through the parade and fireworks, but the 1 yr old did get fussy while waiting for the parade, but we think that was mainly because his mobility was limited once the crowds began to build.  - aztkdiva  0.2 #0 10:39AM
Thanks!! I've heard great things about the baby center. I may have to do that for nap time - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 10:50AM
You can't bring the stroller in there, so napping might be difficult and it tends to be busy. If you really want them to nap, try over at the Grand California. They have some quiet cool areas. Just don't expect napping at regular times. The park has a LOT of stimulation and they don't seem to sleep as much. - DLKenCA  2501.2 #50 10:58AM
We've always stayed from opening until fireworks with our littles when they were babies. They took naps in the stroller and I'd sit with them while the others went on a attraction or two or get a parent swap. And they'd always sleep through the fireworks without being phased. I have pretty go with the flow kids though haha. - MellieKay  263.7 #1184 10:17AM
Oh and all of mine went their first time around 7-10 months old. - MellieKay  263.7 #1184 10:18AM
That makes me happy. My dude is really laid back but loves his sleep. So I was worried. We did a beach trip before and he was so excited he didn't even want to eat lol - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 10:49AM
There are places you can go that are more quiet. A great place is back behind Indy where there are benches for people waiting for others to get off. Or I love around the back of hungry bear by the rivers of America. It's nice and quiet so they can sleep. Those were my go to places.  And the fam would ride Indy or splash. - MellieKay  263.7 #1184 10:53AM
When my almost 2 year old gets sleepy we take her on the train at DL. Works every time! - RachelMPhoto  4.5 #0 11:22PM
The train is a fabulous idea!! - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 4:49PM
I've taken all my kids when they were little and always watched the parades and fireworks. Depending on the hours of the day, if it's a long day (8-12) we tend to go back to the hotel and relax at nap time and have a drink or nap myself. But if hours are short (10-8) then we wing it. The kids would either sleep in the stroller or in the baby carrier. I never had a problem wearing them while they slept. We would take advantage of getting parent passes during that time for rides and then I'd go back later and ride them. And also go on the long, cool rides to relax for a bit (haunted, small world, Pirates). To me they are actually so much easier when they can't walk and talk πŸ˜‚ oh and the train is a great one too! Hope that helps :)  - brodysmommy  414.9 #509 11:35PM

Single Rider question... Is there a list of rides that have it? I really want to get to the parks for Halloween time, but being 6 months pregnant I can't ride too much. I know bribing my hubby with the single rider option, he might be down for the trip since he can ride his favs without a long wait. Thanks guys!

Awesome. Thanks for the list.  I'm so excited to go for the season and eat everything! Haha - FoolishMortal138  366.2 #592 8:31PM
