"High on a hill, sat a lonely goatherd...lay eee odel lay eee, odel lay, heee whooo"

High on the bluffs of Big Thunder Mountain, he waits in the darkness. Always watching, the sentinel of the frontier allows safe passage of the settlers who cross his path. All hail Goat. - JRDrummer_CM  875.4 #185 11:46AM
Very funny. Happy New Year! - DisneyGrandma  840.0 #197 11:52AM
That's a nice clear picture of him! I think I read something the other day about it. Maybe supposed to make you dizzy or something like that when you stare at him. I don't need anything else to make me sick on a coaster though myself. Hahahaha. - MeridaFan  3510.6 #33 12:53PM

Wonderful! Thank you all very much for your advice and input :) It is nice to know that there are many positive reviews and experiences there. I wish we could stay at one of the resort hotels...but we will have to save up and stay there another year ;)

Love the Mรฉnage! It's the only place I stay besides the DL Resort hotels. It's a close walk to DL or you can take the ART. Nice rooms, food is good and cheap and they have the best happy hour. The pool and spa is also open 24 hrs a day. - Candace  1737.8 #80 7:31PM
I've stayed there several times. It's nice and clean. I've never had any problems. :) I've never walked from there, so I have nothing to add there...lol.. Hope this helps. :) - SaraLuvsMickey  30.5 #5439 12:48PM
Nice hotel. There is suppose to be rooms there that have a great view of the fireworks from DL. - Disneymother  225.3 #1570 7:45PM
Great place. I strongly suggest using the ART that picks up in that lot, especially if you have little ones. It seems SO FAR when you've been walking all day.Have fun! - 559MickeyLover  313.0 #754 7:56PM

Agreed, I just kept coming across posts that listed pirates or soarin' and was getting bummed that a lot of ladies might walk right past attractions that they could have enjoyed. Some women let their worry get in the way of their common sense, you'd be surprised a some of the ridiculous questions I get from clients. They say there's no such thing as a stupid question but I wonder sometimes... - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #129 1:12PM
It's just "sense" now, DFZ. Lol - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.9 #320 1:14PM
My common sense is going to be, ride the ride how I see fit. Which yes, would take a lot of these out of the picture. But it would also have to do with how far along I am at that point. Women who frequent the park and know how the rides behave with bumps and drops should have a good sense of how they will fair. For example, IF I am two months pregnant I would probably feel comfortable on Splash Mountain but not Big Thunder. - DuffysJuju  627.8 #288 3:19PM
Duffysjuju, I used to think the same way. But after going on a pretty mild ride at 10 weeks I lost my baby (several years ago). I don't know of it was because of that, but I would never take my chances now. :( - Melliott  301.2 #833 3:22PM
Melliott, when you put it like that! I've just heard from other women who have been on "mild" rides and have been fine. But at my age I wouldn't want to risk it! - DuffysJuju  627.8 #288 3:24PM
Melliot, I'm so sorry! I think the best thing to do is always talk with your doctor before going on anything. Every pregnancy is different. These things also depend on what your body is used to doing and what it can handle. - Spoonful_O_Sugar  573.9 #320 3:37PM
Melliott, so sorry to hear :( - cynDOLEwhip  1175.5 #129 7:56PM
@Duffysjuju It probably had nothing to do with the ride anyway. I lost my following two babies when I had taken it supet easy, so it most likely would have happened no matter what. And of course SO many women go on a million things and have no problems! :) - Melliott  301.2 #833 10:06AM
Melliott, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your babies. ๐Ÿ˜” I personally would never risk it. I love my favorite rides as much as the next person, but nothing in the world is worth the risk, if it might harm my child. Period. The rides will be there after I give birth. Just my thought.
