Today marks 2 months being a Disney CM and this means I am half way to "earning my ears" I have to confess that when I was told I would be at DCA I was VERY disappointed. I wanted so badly to be at Disneyland. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason and I'm proud to say that I LOVE working at DCA and I have a new found appreciation for the pier. Hi Tammy, I felt exactly the same way, but as you said, I love working at DCA, hopefully i get my ears at the end of June. I'm mostly mobile vending at the racers. I love talking to the guests and hearing about their experiences. Maybe we will see each other around! - AuntyVera

Had an AWESOME time working my first Grad Night shift last night. I was at the entrance to Hollywood Land checking wrist bands. ALL the KIDS were GREAT! What shocked me the most were how angry the day guests became when we advised them the park was closed and they would need to make their way to the exit. One AP holder said "Wish I knew this before spending $700 on a pass!" I politely said Disneyl More...
Glad you enjoyed it! Last night we were very busy at the leather shop and it took 8 CMs to efficiently move everyone through the line and to not have a long backup. I even got to chat with many of them and they were very excited to be there and some were even from my hometown. - BaseballMickey_CM

It was so fun! We would hold up our flash lights and tell "wrist bands up" and they would all raid their hands. We asked "what year is it?!?" And they would do their 2013 chant. As they passed by I said "you're awesome!" And they would say "NO! You're awesome!" We thanked the chaperones for being there. We were saying good night to the CMs as they left....we had more fun than what should be allowed...LOL

I thought DCA closed at 10pm anyways and the grad night started at the same time. The AP holder was rude to even say that as he or she can go back another day and ride the attractions. The Grads only have that one night. I had no issues with the grads while visiting on June 5th. - MrFantasia2000JP

That's so nice to hear that the grads were nice! My son finished Kindergarten on Friday so he wants a grad hat next week when we go. The 8th graders at his school went last month, so the end of year pep rally was Disney themed and all of the 8th graders wore their Mickey graduation hats. I have a question. I'm constantly taking ridicule from friends and family because I'm going to the parks AGAIN. I've been called a "Disney Freak" and that is NOT an insult to me at all! I love Disneyland so much I became a CM. When I'm asked "why" I can't put it into words. Why are you a "Disney Freak?"
When I go the parks it's my escape -even if its just for a few hours- it my ME time. When I'm there I don't worry about anything at all. I can do what I want eat what I want scream on rides play fun games laugh with friends (or by myself) cry during shows or just sit and watch people and do nothing. If more people just relaxed and went to Disneyland the world would be a much happier place...that's what I tell people when they call me a Disney freak- you are not alone!!! 😘 - missariel33

I get so irritated when people do the same thing to me. I just don't understand why anyone feels the need to comment on my life. I mean, it's my money and I work for hard for it. Why would people care how I spend it and where I spend time with my family? We are a family of 4 who look forward to going to Disneyland once a month. And that's ...bad? A friend said to me recently "it just seems like it wouldn't be special to the kids anymore". We had a little discussion. First of all it is special to them everytime we go and they look forward to this family time. Second, why would anyone care if my kids were sick of Disneyland or not? They're my kids, it's our money, it's our weekend time and we take our kids to Disneyland once a month. HOW IS THAT BAD? Sorry for yelling, I just don't understand why people feel the need to comment on other people's lives. - tballzz

People do the same thing to me. They also question why I would ever go back on my days off and how am I NOT sick of it yet?!?! It's a special place to me. My home away from home and I can forget my real life while I'm there. I feel "at peace" when I'm there. I've learned that Disneyland is a bit exclusive and people are upset over how costly it is. We used to get that from various friends. Disneyland is our happy place, makes us feel young and carefree again, forget all the stresses and pressures of our day-to-day lives! My love of Disney started out young, but now since I work there, I spend a lot of time at the parks. Other than that, I am proud to call myself a Disney freak by having the music from most of the attractions on my phone at all time. This is the only character breakfast that has Mickey. It's smaller than Goofy's kitchen so it feels more "intimate." The food is the same as Goody's pretty much all though I think Goofy's has a little more to choose from. This buffet only has Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Daisy & Stitch. #ParadisePierHotel for those who asked, here are a few shots of our room. So far I'm completely satisfied with this hotel. It's smaller than the other 2 so it has a "warmer" feel to it. My favorite thing about the room is the $65 beach ball pillow!
