August 16th 1977! 3 years old my 1st Disneyland visit! I have the same look my children did when you enter DL! But I gotta ask.. Who is the character? I also have a pic with one of the 7 dwarfs this same day... Boy have the costumes come a long way!! 😃

*INPUT NEEDED* my kids & I are very seasoned Disneyland guests, but we're taking a 1st timer in July! And I have only ONE day to show him why we love it so much! I don't want to just show him our favorites but I'd like everyone's opinion on what YOU would make sure he saw for the 1st time! I took my 16 year old neice last year and her favorites were Big Thunder, Matterhorn, space mountain, Star tours, haunted mansion, splash, and Indy. In DCA it was soaring, TOT, Aladin show, GRR, WOC, and Mickeys fun wheel swinging. IMO your best bet would be to get there really early - grab fastpasses for Space Mtn as soon as you get to the park - then head over to DCA and get another FP for Tower of Terror (or vice versa, depending on what time you arrive). The two park fastpass systems aren't connected, so you can get two at the same time- and for right now, they don't seem to be picky about you going past your return window). My top picks would be: Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Indy, Big Thunder, Matterhorn Space Mountain, ToT, Screamin. Haven't been on Radiator Springs yet but sounds fun! - Alicewhoareyou 536.0 #209 2:37PM

You didn't mention if you were going to both parks or not but it's pretty easy to do a ton of stuff if you get there early and grab Fastpasses as soon as you can. We did this with my in-laws a few years ago who were only there one day and hadn't been in YEARS. Like Alicewhoareyou said, the Fastpass systems in both parks are not connected so you can have a bunch at once. You might even want to get in, grab Space Mountain fastpasses, and then someone run over to DCA with all your tickets to get Fastpasses for something else over there while the rest of you ride Star Tours or something. - LaneSparrow316 846.9 #108 2:56PM
