With those of you with Disney vacation club... is it worth it? What are some vacations you were able to go on with it?

Admin's a member. I am too. So far no big trips, but it's nice to stay at the Grand and have no bill when you leave :) Thinking about doing a Caribbean cruise in a couple of years. I think it's worth it - CaliCanuck 511.7 #230 4:31PM

The thing with the DVC is you have to be a planner. The number of points you buy will determine how many times you can stay/use them for a holiday. Also they have to be used up or you lose them. You can only bank one year at a time, so you could save up for a "big trip" - CaliCanuck 511.7 #230 4:38PM

We love it! But we like to go to Disney a lot, if you don't or it'll get old i wouldn't bother as the best value for your points is by staying at dvc properties. Also do.not forget you'll have annual dues to pay as well. - Krissy Marissy 411.0 #317 4:46PM

What is the one thing that you all think is a must to do at DL/DCA that most people overlook or don't know about? Can't wait to hear your responses, because I am sure I overlook a lot of cool stuff!!!

So we are planning a trip for my son's bday and was wanting to see if anyone had any suggestions on a hotel to stay at...Disney hotels arethe first choice but they are a bit pricey. :) Thx in advance for the help!!!

We just stayed at Castle Inn and Suites. Walk was manageable.. Did it with huge sitnstand stroller and my 4 yo walked one day! Rooms were reasonably priced and clean... but economy motel compared to Disney! No frills! We do not spend much time in hotel so could be a way for you to save money.
