Starting December 20th all passes (except premium & premier) are blocked out! Do you see the crowds staying the same, more, or less? Trying to weigh the advantages of our Premium pass to possible down grading to Deluxe. Thanks
Well that doesn't stop anybody,  especially tourist and local families who pay to go during school break and holiday time. This now becomes the busiest time especially from Christmas day to Jan 3rd.and a big percentage of those over 1 million pass holders are premium - pikarich  3114.2 #34 7:39AM
Am kinda glad the ap is blocked in high seasons cos the lines would stress me out. - MsTikiMermadam  6.6 #12694 7:54AM
I like my premium pass for the parking, Saturday's in summer and for holidays like Thanksgiving and Independence Day. The time between Christmas and New Years is SUPER busy it's unreal... Like hit park capacity busy. If you are looking for less crowds during this time as a reason to get Premium, don't. - missmimi90  1538.9 #87 11:51AM

Does anyone know the hours of when Santa meet/greet at the Grand Ca hotel? Thanks
Where would be the best place to see Santa without going into the parks? Thanks - snappy  332.7 #647 1:58PM
Your local mall πŸ˜„ - Goofytom  1011.2 #155 1:59PM
I think that's the only place to meet Santa outside the park unless they have him at the other hotels. Your best bet would be to call the hotel to get the time. He's never there when I am. I think he's avoiding me. πŸ˜‚ All I want for Christmas is a trip to ALL of the Disney parks. That's not too much to ask, right? - Chim-Cher-ee  167.2 #2313 4:57PM
Fyi: Disneyland hotel 4:30-6:00pm then returns @6:50-8:00pm. Grand Ca 4:30-8:00 in 45 minute increments. I called.  - snappy  332.7 #647 8:22PM

After reading everyone's post I've realized you people are Disney Freaks! It's just an amusement park with attractions and characters. And some people actually go to City Hall to file complaints if a trash can isn't up to par. Anyways I'm going to Disneyland to top off my Thursday with a little Dole whip and ride on Splash! And maybe catch a churro at the hub! Lol! Have a great time at the parks  More...

Tried to convince my wife to downgrade parks, but she said go ahead and enjoy Knotts solo. I tried! Anyone every take a break from Disney and try another theme park instead ? I know you get what you pay for.

We went to Knotts a few years ago when my mini was two and wound up only staying half the day. We went back to Disney that afternoon. It's good if you want thrill rides but even the kids area didn't work for our mini.  - warchanted  137.2 #2784 11:07PM

Prior to having kids going to the parks was so stinking easy ! When I see couples park, jump out of car, grab jackets , and bolt to the escalators, in my mind I recall those times. Now it's pop stroller, load snacks, jackets, toys, kids into stroller, then head to elevator. (Long line) No tram for us, easier to walk. Different stages of our Disney lives for sure! Seeing our kids facial expressions  More...
I chuckled when I read this!  It reminds me of something my husband said when we were the parents of three under the age of three:  "Babies really weigh 150 lbs at birth!  Seven pounds of baby and 143 pounds of gear!"  The good news is as they get heavier the gear get lighter!  Enjoy!  They don't stay children for long at all!   - DreadPiratesRogers  822.8 #192 10:48AM

I only had one child 23 years ago and Disneyland was the only park on the property. I did not go till my son was 3 and he was potty trained. With one park and one kid, I planned on 2 hours visits and my son walked till he was tired and went home which is very close in anaheim. I realized folks come from further away and this is why they pack soo much but like you said. It is so much fun to see the surprise and wonder at each new thing they experience while there. It is a very short time they are small. Believe it or not it is easier than you think. Just wait till everyone wants to do anything you dont want to do.Β  - Plumiegirl  8253.5 #3 11:00AM

There were times we would get back to the car to go home and then our baby would need his feeding . Here we go sitting in the structure for an hour, then burp, change, and if we're lucky drive home. Those were some rough trips! But things do get better! :)  - snappy  332.7 #647 9:45PM
I have three kids and finally got out if that stage about 3 years ago. Worst part for us was finding the stroller after a ride or show lol. These days we miss the stroller because we could poke all of our waters, snacks, and layers of clothing. - fab5  35.7 #4976 9:54PM
Agree strollers are great for storage, but late in the evening the line for the elevators can be ugly, especially when people don't know there is one line for both elevators.  - snappy  332.7 #647 8:42PM

Good or bad advise? I told my friends to avoid the parks when the majority of annual passes are not blocked out. Up until Thursday I told them to stay clear! Just too busy when taking little ones
πŸ‘ - carminaire  589.9 #295 9:59AM
I think it depends on the people and the kids. If you go, expect it to be very crowded and bring lots of patience. If people watching or doing some of the less popular rides is ok...go for it. If you want to get lots of rides or have no lines...stay away. - DLKenCA  1741.2 #76 10:52AM

Heading into DCA there was a family who's passes were all expired . One member was ok, but the 2 kids passes expired over a year ago. Within 30 minutes, I ran into them at the Wilderness Challenge. No way they had enough time to renew. My question is do the CM make exceptions to expired passes?
No, if the AP is expired, its no good. They could have bought a day ticket and could have upgraded at the end of the night, or the lines at the ticket booth were really short.  - BaseballMickey_CM  6330.4 #12 11:51PM
The CM must have made an exception because there's no way they could have gone to tthe ticket booth and returned so fast. One note: we were entering through the Grand Ca. Entrance.  - snappy  332.7 #647 9:09AM

Annual Pass question? Within the past 10 years has the number of block out dates increased for Deluxe holders? Does anyone remember the $99.00 annual pass?
I remember having the $99 pass. Oh those were the days with no or limited black out dates. We used to go every Sunday.  - risapolo  197.8 #1907 6:22PM
