Annual Passes Good Vs. Bad I remember when I was a kid we'd go to Disneyland 1x a year, So.Cal gas company night. I would be so excited I would literally have dreams about it! I would watch MM club and finger through picture books. Now as a parent I feel like my kids won't ever experience that feeling since we all have AP's. Its great going whenever we want, but I don't think it's the same? Anyon More...

Don't take this wrong, but you set your kids up to never have to experience that longing for Disneyland. I did the same to mine and it's really okay. She's going to always remember having tons and tons of great Disneyland memories and being able to visit often, during the holidays, rainy days, slow days and crazy busy summer million degree days. We used to go and have APs a lot when my brother and I were younger, until I was around 8-9 maybe? And after that we would go once or twice a year. Now I have had an AP for 4 years, and I still get excited regardless :) ( and I usually go at least once a week) - MEHlanie_Mouse 690.1 #146 10:10PM

I don't have kids but my friend just recently bought passes for herself & her 2 minis and the grandparents were against it because they felt Disneyland should be earned throughout the year (kinda like Christmas & Santa). I'm inclined to agree now that I've been with them a couple of times. They totally take it for granted. I'm sure not all do, but in this instance I agree that they should earn it and therefore get excited about it. :) - missariel33 100.2 #3021 11:37PM

My family could only afford once a year and that was awesome. When I bought passes for my son & I 20 years ago, we have gone every week since and I still get all excited when we go. I agree with Linzee. Besides I see the fireworks every night from home. The magic is always nearby😄✨🌟✨ps: this year marks 50 years for me going every year to the parks. My friend returned from WDW and to her surprise over there,the CM enforce the specified FP times religiously! Has anyone else experience this? Will Dland and DCA do the same in the near future? Hope not..

Saturday night dropped my phone on IASM. Before going into shock I spoke to CM Chris. He said not to worry and he would find it! 15 minutes later iPhone turned in and Chris was my savior! Thanked him repeatedly and offered him a VIP guest pass to my Magic Club in Hollywood! He wouldn't bite, so I filled out a guest comment card at city hall! We were shopping once late at WOD, they were out of a princess costume my daughter wanted. We seen some earlier in the day in DL, we wanted to purchase it for my daughter's bday the next morning when she would go to the princess breakfast, the CM called the store supervisor in DL and literally opened the store to let us run in and grab the costume! Question to all MW experts. I purchased my AP at the grocery store at the old price! Yeah for me! My question is when I go to use it for the first time do I get the AP at the turnstile, or do I have to venture over to the passholder center? If I have to go to the passholder center can I do it later in the day, or on my next visit? Thanks

Actually, before you even head to the turnstiles, you go to the ticket booths and have them scan your paper/temporary AP card and they'll print you out your actual AP, then, you have a PhotoPass photographer take your AP photo. Simple as that, hope this helps! - dlmickeymouseCM 2348.6 #27 11:00PM

so glad you found one at that price. I seem to be at a ralphs or vons in several different cities each week and always look to see if they have them. so far nothing, I have looked everywhere. I will post for anyone looking, I cannot use them, our exp. date would make it a wash on savings as we would end up paying for 3 months twice. they sell them at lots of places, I bet there is a little store somewhere that no one goes to that might still have a couple so hope you all find one!! - secretagentangel 657.3 #158 12:10AM
