My first memory is being maybe 2 and riding the Matterhorn with my mom (hey it was the 60's). I keep trying to tone down my Disney habit without success.

For many years I have only enjoyed the carmel apple with peanuts.  It's still my go-to, however last year my mom picked up maybe half a dozen of the fancier apples - character ones, crazy toppings etc. I was surprised at how delicious they were. I think there's no bad Disney apple.

I haven't tried one either. I would probably just lick the frosting off it anyway!😹 - debbiev  1058.9 #162 1:09PM
I never get caramel apples, I like them but I don't like how they stick to my teeth πŸ˜‚ their red velvet cake pop is amazing. - MellieKay  218.0 #1698 1:11PM

ok, let me speak to the Carmel Apple! You can do no wrong by purchasing the apple. It is amazing! The apple itself is delicious! Any variation is preference. For STRICT VEGETARIANS obviously apples with any marshmallows are off limits. CM's can help describe. I recently ate Cinderella 's carriage! Yum! - MrsSchnooks  3228.8 #40 2:22PM

Excellent question.... I've wondered what people thought

We did the presentation there and decided no. If you want to join I would look at resale market first. The annual fees were also a lot. You only break even after 10 years. So unless you know you want a Disney vacation for next 40 years, you could limit yourself.  But I know people that I've then and love them. - DLKenCA  2384.2 #54 6:02PM
If you decide to buy, really think about how many points you will need. We didn't get enough for us, and buying more is super expensive. Also, if you plan to go to the Grand at DLR, the number of vacation club villas is very small and it is hard to get reservations there.  - cinderelli  361.1 #602 7:12PM
Thanks for asking about. Always been curious myself. Appreciate all the good feedback provided! - redsoxcarlos  1919.9 #78 9:21PM
My husband and I Dvc members at the grand Californian if you are wanting to travel to Disneyland at this time Dvc isn't worth it because there's no more availability at the grand and there are only 48 units so pretty much those of us who have membership there who can book at 11 months out take me up all the spots with every other resort that's not your home resort you book at 7 months in Florida the resorts have more rooms and there are more choices - disneychu  47.9 #4643 10:27PM

Back in the day we had luck getting little people to sleep in the Redwood  Creek Challenge area... Lots of trees and shade.

We take our two grand babies almost weekly, the 6 month old struggles a bit with napping in the stroller,  the 1 year old hardly naps at the park, he takes it all in and enjoys running around. But if the youngest one really needs some quiet time we head to the baby center off Main Street, which has A/C, a kiddie table and a limited seating (4chairs) to sit indoors, away from the hussle and bussle of the park. It also has a nursing room with chairs to feed babies and could possibly be used to sit in there with baby while he/she naps. However, we're AP's and have only stayed once from opening until evening and the youngest slept through the parade and fireworks, but the 1 yr old did get fussy while waiting for the parade, but we think that was mainly because his mobility was limited once the crowds began to build.  - aztkdiva  0.2 #0 10:39AM
Thanks!! I've heard great things about the baby center. I may have to do that for nap time - FoolishMortal138  362.6 #595 10:50AM
You can't bring the stroller in there, so napping might be difficult and it tends to be busy. If you really want them to nap, try over at the Grand California. They have some quiet cool areas. Just don't expect napping at regular times. The park has a LOT of stimulation and they don't seem to sleep as much. - DLKenCA  2384.2 #54 10:58AM
We've always stayed from opening until fireworks with our littles when they were babies. They took naps in the stroller and I'd sit with them while the others went on a attraction or two or get a parent swap. And they'd always sleep through the fireworks without being phased. I have pretty go with the flow kids though haha. - MellieKay  218.0 #1698 10:17AM
Oh and all of mine went their first time around 7-10 months old. - MellieKay  218.0 #1698 10:18AM
That makes me happy. My dude is really laid back but loves his sleep. So I was worried. We did a beach trip before and he was so excited he didn't even want to eat lol - FoolishMortal138  362.6 #595 10:49AM
There are places you can go that are more quiet. A great place is back behind Indy where there are benches for people waiting for others to get off. Or I love around the back of hungry bear by the rivers of America. It's nice and quiet so they can sleep. Those were my go to places.  And the fam would ride Indy or splash. - MellieKay  218.0 #1698 10:53AM
When my almost 2 year old gets sleepy we take her on the train at DL. Works every time! - RachelMPhoto  4.5 #0 11:22PM
The train is a fabulous idea!! - FoolishMortal138  362.6 #595 4:49PM
I've taken all my kids when they were little and always watched the parades and fireworks. Depending on the hours of the day, if it's a long day (8-12) we tend to go back to the hotel and relax at nap time and have a drink or nap myself. But if hours are short (10-8) then we wing it. The kids would either sleep in the stroller or in the baby carrier. I never had a problem wearing them while they slept. We would take advantage of getting parent passes during that time for rides and then I'd go back later and ride them. And also go on the long, cool rides to relax for a bit (haunted, small world, Pirates). To me they are actually so much easier when they can't walk and talk πŸ˜‚ oh and the train is a great one too! Hope that helps :)  - brodysmommy  412.8 #506 11:35PM

7 Dwarfs Mine Train in WDW. So cute and fun. I found BTMR in WDW stuffy inside

my fave is Indy!     the queue just sets up the whole ride,  creates the sense of being in the real place,  and it is not claustrophobic at all. - MsTikiMermadam  434.6 #466 3:27PM

I'm sorry to hear about your week. Please add me. Β I love all the good memories Disney has given me. My earliest memory ever is being on the Matterhorn with my mom - she was pinning my head to her chest as I got shook around. Β I was little little... Maybe height restrictions came later - I don't know. Grateful for all the memories I've collected since.

Hoping your week gets better!  Me, LOL, I could never narrow it down to one thing.. But to name a few, . the esplanade before sunrise, the whistle of the Mark Twain, the gun shots from the Jungle Cruise - when heard from Town Square, when Tinkerbell begins her flight,  the sound of Crystal being engraved with somebody's name, the desperate sound of a bell clanging because someone is standing in front of a two ton horse, the announcement: "Your attention please, the Disneyland Limited now arriving for a trip around Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom...", watching the ducks from the lower dining deck at Hungry Bear, Jose from the Tiki Room, Polka music in the Swiss Alps, classic films in the Main Street Cinema, lunch at Rancho, broasted chicken at Plaza, the Main Street Christmas Loop, tree and Candlelight Procession,  being swallowed by Monstro, hearing "When You Wish Upon a Star" as you walk through Sleeping Beauty Castle, Snow White's sweet voice at her grotto, seeing the prints of boots and wagon wheels in Frontierland, the vocal monkey's of Adventurland, coffee from "the Market House", Mickey and the Magical Map, watching Disneyland Forever with my friends and entering the main gate turn style. Please, no need to enter me into the RAK, but, if you don't mind, randomly select someone above on my behalf to enter your generous RAK.
