As a parent this scares me deeply. How can people be this dumb. What if a child found this gun and thought it was a toy and shot himself or someone else? He lost it on Dinosaur in Disneyworld because he said the ride was bumpy. The ride was bumpy? Dude all the rides are bumpy. No guns at anything Disney. I should feel safe there.

Some of them barely even check bags. I have had one checker literally just give my bag a light squeeze and tell me to go ahead. - lohofosho  784.5 #210 3:10PM
For some reason something always has to happen for things to get better :( - RAQQUEL  49.8 #4482 3:53PM
Do they have a detector to make sure people have a brain in their head? - Westcoast  128.3 #2949 6:16PM
Could have been carried by an off duty cop. I used to work at the stadium here and there were allowed to bring in their firearms with proper ID. - Lelundrial  556.3 #330 12:38PM
Off duty cops cannot bring guns into the parks. - WifeofaCM  206.6 #1826 1:54PM
Says who? They can legally carry their guns on them. I just don't want people to automatically jump to the wrong conclusion. - Lelundrial  556.3 #330 1:55PM
Says Disneyland security. Not sure about WDW. - Darlingwendi  1179.4 #131 1:58PM
Disneyland is private property and therefore they are allowed to set their own rules. One of which is no firearms unless its an on duty officer. - lostgirl7988  697.6 #244 1:59PM
WDW is the same way. - lostgirl7988  697.6 #244 1:59PM
They can set their own rules all they want. I would love to hear them try to lecture the chief of police. - Lelundrial  556.3 #330 3:19PM
I just asked my friend what the rules would be, he said that he can carry his fire arm if he wants to. He also said that DL security may require a letter from his Sheriff like airlines do. He said its up to the officer/ deputy to carry it if they want. - APirateslifeforme31  169.0 #2331 3:39PM
^has he ever tried to carry it in Disneyland? They will not allow it. - Darlingwendi  1179.4 #131 3:53PM
He's carried it on every plane ride he's been on. The security on those is much more strict I would assume. - APirateslifeforme31  169.0 #2331 3:57PM
Well you can assume all you want, but according to Disney FAQs and policy, you are not allowed to bring weapons of any kind into the theme park...off duty officer or not. - Darlingwendi  1179.4 #131 4:10PM
Well clearly someone did. So there goes that theory. - APirateslifeforme31  169.0 #2331 4:17PM
Sure they can sneak them in... But I don't want people to automatically jump to the wrong conclusion that it's allowed. - Darlingwendi  1179.4 #131 4:31PM
Disney Hotels and Security have a policy and a place for LEOs to keep their firearms while they enjoy DL and DCA. - BombFrogFormerCM  845.3 #194 4:32PM

No need to add me. I just want to thank everyone who donated to this awesome RAK! I'm honored to have known Dahula and Lacey, they were the sweetest people I've ever met. They are surely missed and I know they (especially Dahula) would be ecstatic to see these awesome donations going to someone. πŸ’–πŸŒΊπŸ’–πŸŒΊ - LBChica  2255.7 #56 8:46PM
Bottom line is MW helped me get out of my depression (that I dealt with after college ended)! I honestly can't thank MW enough for the joy its brought to my life with the things I've learned (ex: Mint Julep), experiencing events (ex: AP Preview of Carsland), and the many friendships I've made! :D Please add me for this RAK, thanks! - iamdugsmaster  878.7 #183 9:22PM

No they have no handicap or disabled people in their party or a plaid. They just flash a piece of paper and keep it for the next ride

As has been said - disabilities aren't always visible... And as someone who frequently visits with someone who needs assistance the lines aren't always shorter. Many times we wait in an alternate queue that is as long as or longer than the stand-by queue. I can tell you that most people I know who need the guest assistance card would trade it in a heartbeat to not be in pain. - Lola027  452.5 #437 11:21AM

I only ask because I changed a wait time to actual time waited and 4 minutes later it was changed back to the sign posted time.

Both work but if you know it's less than put what it is. Like yesterday Peter pan said 30 but I know it wasn't because it only had one lane outside the attraction instead of being filled up outside it too. So I knew it was in the range of 15-20 mins if that. When I got to front it was exactly 12 mins...so I was very close. - MarshaMouse  4126.1 #25 11:25AM
12 min for Peter Pan!?!?! Wow! :) - LizO  471.1 #409 11:44AM
Exactly on a Saturday!!! It was a great day yesterday! - MarshaMouse  4126.1 #25 11:46AM
Preferably what you actually experience because the wait times posted at the ride entrance are not always accurate. - LaneSparrow316  847.0 #193 11:22AM
Yesterday I heard a cm say its actually 10 mins, I just haven't changed it yet and she didn't look like she was in a hurry to either lol so ask usually helps a lot - MarshaMouse  4126.1 #25 11:48AM
Excellent question! Since I don't get to the parks often, it's harder for me to judge wait times based on a glance at the line. We checked our watches when we got un lines, then again as we were entering the attraction. Once we got off, we looked again at the line and made slight adjustments based on where people were starting from at that moment. Makes sense? - Blissfull1  242.6 #1363 11:55AM

So some random guy just puts up his guess?

It's an estimation based on data MW has collected over the last 2 years. Still being adjusted and worked on. Depending on what day of the week it was or the weather a year ago it can be off but is a general guide for what the crowds may be like. - Coaster  15313.3 #1 10:24AM
