Me and the hubby (jungleVIP) are disney addicts! We only make it to the park a couple of times a year, but we take it by storm when we do get to go. I also have a blog about doing Disneyland on a budget: themagicisfree.wordpress.com

Any chance this will become fastpass for Peter Pan? While I hate to see it go, I would love that! Just not sure if that's logistically possible.

Boys don't dress up. They're the real deal. If you see a kid in a captain America getup, in his mind he's the real captain America. - phillip...rocks  1595.2 #127 10:35PM
But anyway, a boy leant want to sit in a chair to get made over. It would have to be a costume shop.  - phillip...rocks  1595.2 #127 10:35PM

While boys do not "dress up" it would be cool if they had something like "build your own armor" where kids can become knights and have swords and stuff. Disney already sales the majority of the stuff around the park. It wouldn't be too difficult to centralize it. Or something along those lines.  - TheFoxandtheHound  27.3 #6767 12:17AM

Walt trailblazer the use of double-track vocals for Cinderella, where Ilene Woods sang harmony with herself on "Sing, Sweet Nightingale". Woods recalls after playing it back that Walt said, "How about that? All these years I've been paying three salaries to the Andrews Sisters, when I could've only paid one for you." 😅

As far as the walking, my feet would always swell, not to the point of being miserable, but you'll definitely want something with laces you can loosen. Don't forget that the first aid station is there to help. You'll probably need to budget a few extra dollars for churros. Is this your first pregnancy, or do you have other kiddos that'll be with you? - LittleAprilShowers  588.4 #393 10:46AM

My husband and I had just recently found out we were pregnant after a couple different doctors had told us it probably wasn't in the cards for us. We were ecstatic, and looking for a special way to celebrate, when a very generous mousewaiter offered to make us a reservation. I had had this on my bucket list for years, but never actually figured it would come true! Well, we got all fancy, and had the time of our lives. Not sure if it's still this way, but at lunch dessert was served buffet style. I knew this was once in a lifetime, so I literally tried everything! There was a really friendly table full of ladies next to us, and I could feel their eyes on my heaping plate. I just shrugged and said, "I'm pregnant. And I don't even care." They all busted out laughing. Anyhow, sorry for my super long memory, but thanks for making me smile as I recalled it! - LittleAprilShowers  588.4 #393 8:22AM

I personally prefer big thunder when it's not raining as well, but that's just because I don't like getting pelted with water. If you like character interactions and happen to be on/near main St when it starts raining, duck into the Moments with Lincoln area. We've sometimes gotten pictures with 6-7 characters that would have otherwise been out and about on Main Street with little to no wait. The last few times I've noticed Bert, Mary and Peter hanging out at Plaza Inn. Princess Fantasy Faire can also be a little more worth it in the rain, since the "pop-up" princesses (and maybe the fairy godmother/evil queen) that show up around the castle courtyard will all go here while they wait it out. Not hard and fast rules, but we've had great luck with them. Quick-drying shoes are very important. Cute hair instantly is not. Parades may be cancelled. Fireworks shouldn't be affected unless there's wind. Prioritize and be flexible and it could be one of your best trips ever ;) - LittleAprilShowers  588.4 #393 10:13AM

🤔 Let's see, I think my most embarrassing moment was when I was in high school and I lost one of my "gel shoes" on the Haunted Mansion.  I had to walk around with one shoe. Luckily, it was towards the end of the night but I still felt silly. - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3197.9 #52 10:30PM
Don't judge! They were all the rage in the 80's😂 - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3197.9 #52 10:31PM
you were wearing jellies! Remember the clear plastic purses that went with them.. But how did you not get major blisters from them. And PS the germaphobe in me just cringed. I hope you soaked your bare foot in alcohol when you got home 😂 - eviljules  1760.1 #113 10:35PM
😂😂the shoes were the worst and I would keep wearing them even though I would always get a blister on my pinky toe. My germ phobia hadn't set in yet. eviljules - RadiatorSprings4Ever  3197.9 #52 10:47PM
I had those for my baby when she was 2!  😂. Cute pink ones. I think I still have them. 😍 - MeridaFan  4255.0 #43 10:52PM
You need to keep those @MeridaFan... They will be back in fashion by the time you have grand kids 😃 - eviljules  1760.1 #113 11:00PM

Sorry I'm a day late but my embarrassing story took place many years ago at blizzard beach in DW. We were going on summit plummet water slide. 120 ft tall, sliding at speeds 60 mph. 😁 anyway at the top they tell you to cross your feet and arms infront of you. Lay back and GO.  As I slid down the slide I lost all control, I felt like my my legs were every which way, my arms were flying, I get to the bottom which ony takes seconds but felt like it was forever and the life guards are all running to me... They help me up, I'm ok but shaken and have a major wedgie!!!!  It was so scary then but now I am cracking up!!!! Lol😉😂 - mmddgp  1689.9 #2 4:34PM
As long as no video emerged, you're all good😂, glad you were okay!! - Linzee  1927.7 #104 5:07PM

😂😂 great story!  - eviljules  1760.1 #113 7:13PM
Very embarrassing moment confession, but total praise of CM compassion. When I was little, I had an "accident" at DL and was with an older cousin at a different part of the parks than my parents. I was painfully shy, and easily embarrassed as a child and I had no idea what to do. A CM saw me upset and pulled me aside, grabbed a pair of Mickey Mouse sweatpants off the rack at Star Traders, pulled off the tags and helped me find a restroom so I could change. I never forgot that act of kindness, it saved the day and impacted me up through my teenage years and into adulthood. Thank you CM's for your kindness!  - SassafrasDavis  860.0 #256 6:00PM
Oh wow! That's awesome. That CM really turned that day around for you . A little kindness goes a long way  - eviljules  1760.1 #113 7:10PM

With all the resources that Disney has at their disposal, it befuddles me why they can't make the hat move with the head. I realize this is a really strange pet peeve, but oh well.

As much as I love the new parade and fireworks on Main Street, I've found that dinner at the Grand or Paradise Pier and then fireworks from the pool deck at Paradise Pier is much more my idea of romantic. I don't usually share this, since I don't want word to get out and it to become much less romantic (read: crowded), but I'm willing to make an exception since he's off to serve our country ;)&nbs  More...

How about getting you're silhouettes done on Main St - UTDISNEYFAMILY  3035.8 #55 7:59PM
excellent idea! - MsTikiMermadam  1947.2 #102 1:39AM

Make sure to take him to the flag retreat in Dland. It's so moving. Get there a little early as they pick one veteran to receive a special 60th coin. - Quiweez  1128.2 #189 10:45AM

My favorite moment (followed closely by hearing the entry chime) would be when I'm sitting on Pirates, safely boarded and breathing the smell that is unique to this attraction. I know that vacation has officially begun. Work, traffic, planning, budgeting is all behind me, and the only thing ahead of me is adventure and a churro.

Every minute when I'm there.  And so sad to leave. - sr_citizen_space_ranger  82.3 #4121 12:32PM
It's so sad!!  I get all teary-eye!😥 - AngiMouse  490.2 #484 12:34PM
I would agree that the first sight of Main Street is amazing!  I'd say that the second best part for me is the anticipation while waiting at Rope Drop the first morning!  I love the excitement that builds amongst my kids/family while counting down.❤️❤️ - AngiMouse  490.2 #484 12:34PM
Totally agree! I'm here about 4x a week and I still feel that way every time  - tanyapickren  9.2 #0 3:19PM
like  the rest of you, coming in the entrance of Main Street. I feel like I'm home. One time, we walked in on our first day to the Christmas parade.  I just cried!! - disneyforme  867.5 #255 7:35PM
