Me and the hubby (jungleVIP) are disney addicts! We only make it to the park a couple of times a year, but we take it by storm when we do get to go. I also have a blog about doing Disneyland on a budget: themagicisfree.wordpress.com

Leaving tomorrow and I'm pregnant, which means I will have been during all three of my pregnancies. As far as the walking, my feet would always swell, not to the point of being miserable, but you'll definitely want something with laces you can loosen. Don't forget that the first aid station is there to help. You'll probably need to budget a few extra dollars for churros. Is this your first pregnancy, or do you have other kiddos that'll be with you? - LittleAprilShowers  587.4 #353 10:46AM
Great advise! I second all of it, except I'd exchange "churros" for "treats". 😜 - Duchess_SMK  6475.6 #19 5:03PM
The swelling is one of my concerns... I swell to the point of pain. I think breaks will be a good idea and didn't even think of the first aid areas. That's awesome!! And there air conditioned!! For SURE will have a ton of churros!!  - DisneyBallers  57.1 #4582 8:12AM
Can dad's answer? We had passes while my wife was pregnant. There's so much to do even without the crazy fast attractions and there are so many nice resting places. I think the craziest attraction she did was POTC. She enjoyed it and so will you (I'm assuming you're preggo, and if so, congratulations) - phillip..  1357.1 #132 8:38AM

This is my 3rd pregnancy I've enjoyed with my AP and I never feel like I haven't received my money's worth. Just as others have said, anything without a highly requirement is safe and that's quite a bit of attractions. You know you best and as long as you feel comfortable and are having a normal pregnancy Disneyland can be just as much fun. In fact, the food tastes even better. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜ Congrats to you! My husband and I had just recently found out we were pregnant after a couple different doctors had told us it probably wasn't in the cards for us. We were ecstatic, and looking for a special way to celebrate, when a very generous mousewaiter offered to make us a reservation. I had had this on my bucket list for years, but never actually figured it would come true! Well, we got all fancy, and had the time of our lives. Not sure if it's still this way, but at lunch dessert was served buffet style. I knew this was once in a lifetime, so I literally tried everything! There was a really friendly table full of ladies next to us, and I could feel their eyes on my heaping plate. I just shrugged and said, "I'm pregnant. And I don't even care." They all busted out laughing. Anyhow, sorry for my super long memory, but thanks for making me smile as I recalled it! - LittleAprilShowers  587.4 #353 8:22AM

The best memories I have in disneyland are the ones when I was a little child and my mom would get off her graveyard shift, pick me up from school and we would head to the park. It was always empty and felt like I was the only princess there. I personally prefer big thunder when it's not raining as well, but that's just because I don't like getting pelted with water. If you like character interactions and happen to be on/near main St when it starts raining, duck into the Moments with Lincoln area. We've sometimes gotten pictures with 6-7 characters that would have otherwise been out and about on Main Street with little to no wait. The last few times I've noticed Bert, Mary and Peter hanging out at Plaza Inn. Princess Fantasy Faire can also be a little more worth it in the rain, since the "pop-up" princesses (and maybe the fairy godmother/evil queen) that show up around the castle courtyard will all go here while they wait it out. Not hard and fast rules, but we've had great luck with them. Quick-drying shoes are very important. Cute hair instantly is not. Parades may be cancelled. Fireworks shouldn't be affected unless there's wind. Prioritize and be flexible and it could be one of your best trips ever ;) - LittleAprilShowers  587.4 #353 10:13AM

I've told this one before:  family and I stopped in front of haunted mansion to watch Fantasmic one night.  We sat down on the brick wall.  My mom jumped up immediately because she had sat on something wet and sticky.  She started making a small scene going off on how some kid must have left his candy there and parents need to watch their kids better blah blah blah.  She was not pleased.  I turned on my phone light to help her clean her shorts only to discover that it wasn't candy she sat on.  It was a snail 🐌. Very embarrassing moment confession, but total praise of CM compassion. When I was little, I had an "accident" at DL and was with an older cousin at a different part of the parks than my parents. I was painfully shy, and easily embarrassed as a child and I had no idea what to do. A CM saw me upset and pulled me aside, grabbed a pair of Mickey Mouse sweatpants off the rack at Star Traders, pulled off the tags and helped me find a restroom so I could change. I never forgot that act of kindness, it saved the day and impacted me up through my teenage years and into adulthood. Thank you CM's for your kindness!  - SassafrasDavis  502.8 #441 6:00PM

Hi! A perfect day at the park! πŸ˜ƒ Steakhouse 55, Company D, Uva dinner, fireworks for the first time, Peter Pan, great time with friends. ❀️ oh, and I'm afraid of clowns. 😜 - Darlingwendi  1223.1 #148 11:12PM
πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌThat sounds amazing! I am so happy you could see the fireworks.😍Yes, clowns are evil, except the British ones. They are more refined🎈 - RadiatorSprings4Ever  1750.9 #101 11:21PM

I've gotten a few decent deals on tickets over the years, but it's work, I'm not gonna lie. The last few years Target has offered a Black Friday deal to the tune of spend $100 get a $20 gift card or 20% off. I've gotten Disbey gift cards with these discounts which you can then turn around and buy tickets with. Best deal I've gotten by miles. But no guarantee it will be offered this year. If you're going for just one day, I would just get a one day, one park ticket and go to Disneyland. It's 'only' $99 for that ticket. A park hopper is $155. Stick with Disneyland, and have fun! Β Definitely buy your tickets now. You never know when they might raise the price of the tickets better safe than sorry! Β  - MeridaFan  4243.8 #36 8:19AM
Would love to goto both parks but it might not be worth the park hopper for just one day. Wish we could walk through the stores on Buena Vista street. Thanks for the response.  - quote  151.6 #0 6:39PM
My best advice is to purchase them online, it saves you a small amount of money. You can purchase them through the DLR website or Mousewait.com which I believe provides a discount as well as supports Mousewait! I'm not sure of any promos at the moment but make sure you are paying through Disneyland or an approved DLR partner company :) Lots of scams out there... - BOOneyandbourke  8.0 #13122 7:45AM
Have a great trip! I'm a bargain hunter... Disney tickets are difficult to get discounts on though! Definitely buy ahead of time! - DisneyBallers  57.1 #4582 7:15AM

I've gotten Disbey gift cards with these discounts which you can then turn around and buy tickets with. Best deal I've gotten by miles. But no guarantee it will be offered this year. The 5% red card discount does work on gift cards as well. If that doesn't pan out, Golden 1 has a slightly discounted ticket if you're a member. Discover offers 5% cash back on department store purchases right now. Or if you have reward points you can cash in for gift cards to Best Buy, Staples, Kmart or a few others you can buy 3rd party cards with their gift cards. I concur that park hopper is not the way to go for one day...maybe next year when the park is all under construction. Definitely buy ahead of time. No point in waiting in any line you don't have to.  - LittleAprilShowers  587.4 #353 8:51AM

My kiddo is 5, so we play lots of silly games, especially around 2 o'clock or so. We practice making scared faces, we talk about which character we would most like to ride any given ride with. We make up names for people walking by (if we can be silly and kind about it...nothing mean!). We talk about what we would do if we had the parks to ourselves for the day. We try to imagine the best possible churro flavors. My mini thought a hot dog churro sounded great until I pointed out that that would just be a crunchy hotdogπŸ˜·πŸ˜‚. We talk to cast members. A lot. The point is, we talk. Most days I don't get to really talk to him until 4:00 when he gets home from school, and when we make time to go to Disneyland it's important to me to use every precious minute to get to know him! After all, he's only going to be little and full of imagination till I blink again. I know this isn't exactly what you asked, but you'd be amazed how some of these super-silly convos turn into semi-serious conversations about life stuff, like what kindness really looks like, why patience is important, what priorities we should have, where we place our values, and what churros should taste like! Hope this helps ;) - LittleAprilShowers  587.4 #353 10:00AM

How about just putting the phones away and looking around at all the wonder Disney has to offer and pointing out all the hidden treasures to your kids? Β With so many people here complaining about the price increase, it amazes me how once inside the park, everybody has their faces buried in their phones.Β  - tg4653  67.3 #4311 8:34PM
