Our trick is to figure what we want to eat. Either Plaza Inn chicken or Chowder bowls from NOS. Then post up a good hour prior to the show. We get a good spot and can enjoy our din din. If you haven't been close before I would say get as close as possible with a view of the castle. You won't regret it.
Well what kind of seat/view do you want? Right in front of the castle with one of the benches? Plan on sitting there before the parade. Watch the parade from that bench and sit there until the fireworks. It all Depends on what kind of view/seat you want. - sunshinegates

If you aren't able to stake out a good spot on Main Street, there's a great view from the front of its a small world. You miss all the stuff in front of the castle, but there are some projections on the IASW facade. Plus, the crowds are usually a lot lighter over there. - nerdgirl
