I'm sure someone here will have the answer, since I can't find it elsewhere. I know you have to show id to purchase the socal resident deal (2 days/$99) but would you have to show id to use it at the park entrance? We are planning a trip in may with my brother and his family from out of state and we wanted to buy the tickets for them also :)
You don't not need your ID to enter the parks. - Bambi.  595.0 #183 5:13PM
I've heard mixed reviews on that. Some people say they were asked to show proof of residence and some weren't. I wouldn't risk it because if they did get asked for proof, there goes all the money you spent on the tickets. I wouldn't do it for Karma reasons. It's supposed to be a deal for residents to enjoy the park, not for everyone to buy out of town relatives cheap tickets. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #107 5:19PM
From the Disney Parks Website: "The offer is limited to residents of Southern California (zip codes 90000-93599) and North Baja California (21000-22999)." If you don’t live in Southern California, we recently shared news of a special ticket for you. You can purchase the 3-day park-hopper ticket for $169. The 3-day ticket is available online at Disneyland.com/3days, or by calling 866-59-DISNEY. You can purchase the 3-day tickets from now through April 14, 2011, and you must purchase them before leaving home as this offer is not available at the ticket booths. Tickets must be used within 13 days of the first day of use and the first day of use must be no later than April 14, 2011." - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #107 5:21PM
2011? I think that is old info. The info I found was that 3 day Park hoppers are $214, or $199 (but this one has blackout dates). Shoot, if they are $169 I missed out! - PrincessKristin  774.5 #124 5:29PM
That's an old deal. The 2012 deal was $199 for a 3 day hopper. We did that then added a fourth day for 20 bucks a piece. - PeachKay  310.6 #555 7:17PM
I have bought tickets at Von's that are for local residents, but they do not ask when you use them. If you buy the tickets at the Dland ticket booth, they may ask you for proof that you live in SoCal(I'd, Mail addressed to you) - garrlusdland  52.2 #3700 7:26PM
I have used the so cal discount before. My family lives down there and they can buy my tickets with their id. It use to be 6 tickets they could purchase. I never had to show id to get in. - dhBelle04  275.5 #769 7:29PM

I'm getting so jealous seeing all the Christmas decor pictures! We said we weren't going during the holidays this year because I'm due to have a baby any day and then he will be so little we don't want to tackle the crowds with a newborn. Now I'm wishing there was some way we could squeeze in one last trip before he arrives because Christmas at Disneyland is my favorite!
Have the baby at DL for a lifetime pass. - HotDiggityDogDaddy  1112.0 #74 8:57AM
I heard that's a myth, if not I would totally do it! - californiajill  145.8 #2352 9:04AM
Rent a wheelchair and have hubby push you around for the day. One last date without having to worry about the baby! I agree, I would never have taken a newborn to a place like that. - 415beachgirl  469.0 #258 9:21AM
I'm not worried aboutthe walking, I can handle that. But, we live 2 hours away so that kinda worries me in case I were to o into labor. And, we just went last month for our 'last trip' before the new baby and decide to wait on getting passes till he was a couple months, didnt want to lose all that time, so financially I doubt the husband would go for it ;) I just hate to miss out on the Christmas season at the park. I guess I will just live vicariously through all of you lucky enough to experience the magic ;) - californiajill  145.8 #2352 9:48AM

this is why Disneyland is always gonna be worth it.. A dancing CM in the parade yesterday noticed my husband's birthday button and shouted 'happy birthday' to him mid dance! Those little extra special touches are what makes the park so magical and sets Disneyland apart from any other theme park you could ever visit. Our trip was so special yesterday, I just love Disneyland! Oh and we got to ride   More...

I thought I'd be posting a lot more being in the park but there is just too much fun stuff to do :) We are having a great time celebrating the husband's birthday and our last disney adventure with our daughter before our son arrives in a couple months! The park is a bit crowded but lines aren't bad :)

Someone mentioned last night that Friday is 'gay day' at Disneyland. What is that??? We are supposed to go tomorrow :(
Mr Uppity is taking over the park for the next few days. Might be really hard to get in. His posse is rather large. - ManBearPig  417.0 #308 7:50AM

Not long before our next DL trip, though we don't have the exact day nailed down it will be sometime before the 30th! I really wanted to eat at the blue bayou but heard it's closed :( I'm bummed but seriously looking forward to all the great park food! What restaurants do you suggest?
Cafe Orleans!! Super yumm-o PomFrittes (sp?) And plaza inn tooo.... Soooo good!! I'm looking forward to Jolly Holiday when that opens.... - NatalieluvsStitch  338.0 #436 10:55AM
Do you know how long b.b. is closed? - happiestplace  44.0 #3878 10:57AM

We will be buying annual passes when we get to the park in a couple weeks and were just wondering if there is a discount for mikey's Halloween party, anybody know? Thanks!!!
I heard if you go on certain days and buy them for the 30th they're discounted, but I'm not so sure. - CAMcakes26  10.4 #6622 5:34PM
Thanks! I was looking at the Disneyland website last night and there was a link that said annual pass holders special pricing, but you have to have your pass already to see the discount so I was hoping maybe someone on here would know :) - californiajill  145.8 #2352 7:33AM
Yes annual passholders get $15 off a regular price ticket on selected nights. Info from Disneyland.com - Lizzybeauty25  4.7 #11074 1:30PM
Their is only 5 days when the discount is applied. Date: September 30, October 3, October 11, October 18 and October 25 . Regular price tickets are $59. But if u buy in advance and have an annual pass the price will be $44 only for those dates listed above - Lizzybeauty25  4.7 #11074 1:39PM

In your experience, is it better (crowd wise) to go to DL on a Friday or a Sunday? I see the parks are closing really early during the weeks now so I'm thinking Sunday but do you think they'll be a lot busier? Thanks 
I always go on Sundays, last Sunday it was a little packed but not so that you couldn't get on any rides, I got on all the big rides twice :) - Jessgiac  8.6 #7261 7:46AM
I always go on Sunday's too. The crowds aren't too bad. - NightmareKaren  277.6 #745 11:43AM
I go fridays in the morning pretty chill not many people .. - DisneyMM  116.0 #2791 2:37PM
Fridays during the day are chill but it gets super crowded with locals at night. Plus right now I think some of the Trick or Treat parties are scheduled for Fridays. If you can get there during the day, Friday. If you want to spend the evening there too, Sunday. - LaneSparrow316  846.9 #107 2:48PM

Heard you can use your ticket to upgrade towards an AP, how does this work? Can you get any annual pass? Where do you do it? Thanks for the help!
U have to do it at the ticket booths now since the AP processing center isn't in the parks anymore - princessVanessa  382.5 #350 9:03PM
Pretty much you have to do it during the day(s) you use your ticket. The ticket booth will help you. You can get any passport. It will cost the difference between your ticket value and the passport cost - Pixarprincess  531.4 #214 9:05PM
