I live in Alaska but I am always planning my next Disneyland trip. It is the place that all of my siblings meet up to share some magic with the next generation.
I've seen pictures but can anyone tell me how many adults you can feed with the Family Size pizzas at Naples in DTD? I know they are big but we will have a large group and I am trying to budget. Thanks!
4-6 Pete's or Balou's... You should be able to feed Donald, Daisy, Huey, Dewey, Louie and Uncle Scrooge (a normal family) with no problems. - martini8668-cm

We got a family size pizza there once... It would have EASILY fed 6-8... - DiamondInTheRough

Thanks! We will have some salad eaters as well so it is good to know one will stretch so far! - AKMouse

I created a calendar with all the September attraction and eatery closures. DM me with your email address if you would like a copy. I am a visual person and needed it all lined out in one place. **Indy closure is now on the official Disneyland list.
I just printed it out. You did an amazing job. Thank you. - aidensmama

that's so nice of you..did you see my post of all of the holiday closures? It was so long I thought it might upset people when they got finger scrolling cramps. lol. - Linzee
517.2 #225 2:50PM
Yes! I used your post and other sources to add to my list. I compared those to what is on the official list and have highlighted the "rumored" closures in red since they aren't currently listed. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 2:58PM
I am such a geek! I am not even going to Disneyland in September! I just like crowd patterns and statistics too. **hangs head in shame** - AKMouse 376.5 #364 2:59PM
You are very welcome! Now tell me, who is this darling in the pic?? Xoxo - MomWithAJuiceBoxBuzz

Thanks! It is sometimes hard to contribute when you don't live nearby and don't have live pictures. I think it is interesting to find out who is really out there. :) - AKMouse 376.5 #364 12:08PM
Lol not those pics Sue! Haha 😂 - TheNewTrent 514.6 #228 3:06PM
i think Aladdin. it taught me that stealin is ok so long as its just an apple or bread and that i give half to starving kids. jk. its been really influential with my flying carpet research... breakthrough soon. i liked aladding because i think it was the first Disney Movie that a guy could sing to. i dont remember the classics or little mermaid having too many aongs that a young hero could sing (lil mermaid had sebastian's songs, but i didnt like pretending to be a crab) - Radius

I try to be an active commenter! But I really don't get to the parks enough to post live pics or even add wait times 😥my favorite and most influential movie is A Goofy Movie! Not only does it have my favorite songs, it describes my adolescent relationship with my mother to a T. Whenever I watch it I shake my head in remembrance of my tennage rebellion. And then I get all teary eyed when Goofy says "you may not be a little boy anymore, but you'll always be my son!!" 😭 - angelle

What DLR eating establishments closed for off-season? I don't want to get my heart set on Big Thunder Ranch BBQ if they aren't going to be open when I go.
I don't think any close during non-peak season. Its just park hours that are cut back - BaseballMickey_CM

Good to know. For some reason I always feel like I am missing out on food places. I always end up at the same few spots. I am determined to dine out of my comfort zone on my next trip. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 12:08PM
Calling all lurkers! Do you have stalker level knowledge of your favorite MWers but your user name has never hit the Lounge? This is the post for you! Our get to know our lurkers question of the day is: What year was your first visit to Disneyland? Estimations or generalities are allowed for those who can't remember or don't want to show their age. Ready go!
Haha love this post! I try not to lurk but I don't go often enough to have much to add. I just have a passion for Disney and require a Disney supplement to sooth my "ears" shaped heart. I truly enjoy seeing all of the fabulous photos. My first trip 1987 (2 months old). Thanks all of you "regulars" for keeping us all updated! - RaisedByWalt

How awesome to have been able to see the park in it's beginning and through all of it's glorious transformations. - Goofdog 169.8 #2012 3:36PM
My parents are both that way as well. They both went as young children within the first week of the park opening. They have been going ever since. My mom still comes to the park with us. Now we take 3 generations to share together. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 3:37PM
That's wonderful!!! How special to be a first generation Disneyland'er!! You grew up right along with the Happiest Place on Earth!! - GibsonGirl87 281.3 #724 3:53PM
Never thought about it, but I guess I am a first gen D-lander! I've had lots of fun here - debbiev 59.3 #3585 4:55PM

#Retro Day: I may be breaking the retro day rules but these are not Googled pictures. These came from a book my Mom bought in 1963. I loved the Plaid and the old Rocket to the Moon pictures!
These pics are cool and fun to see no matter where they came from. The pic in the lower right, is that Mission to Mars?? I vaguely remember riding it and I think that's what the inside looked like. - MsStarlite
201.6 #1605 11:58PM
I believe in 1963 it was called Douglas Rocket to the Moon. Mission to Mars is in Epcot. - AKMouse
376.5 #364 12:06AM
Ahhh ok. I just remember being inside that round chamber and that the ride was sponsored by McDonnell Douglas which was the company my dad worked for. One of the few rides he ever went on with us! - MsStarlite

Retro Day: This is the cover of my Mom's program for her Grad Nite in 1967. Entertainment included Dobie Gray, The Aggregation, The Regents, and The Aubrey Twins. Some lucky Grad won a 1967 Mercury Cougar!
This is so awesome! I would have loved to see Dobie Gray! - matildamouse

welcom3 lurkers!!! or watchers or what I really call you ---MW family we don't know yet! One request, even if you are too shy to meetup or post, when you are at the parks, please post wait times, it helps everyone else and keeps MW the most accurate. I met a lot of watchers at glow with the show, so many use the app but forget to post wait times so I thought I would remind everyone. And at the next "event" i plan on planning a "first time or shy person meet up." to help with the jitters!!! Hope to meet you all sonn! - secretagentangel

If you could taken one person to Disneyland (living or dead) who would you take and why?
I would take Adolf Hitler. Strap him in a Small World boat and force him to ride till he got the point.
I would want to see DL through Walt's eyes. - sewedna

My little brother. Although I take him with me in my heart. He never had the chance to visit the parks. May he be resting in peace - lilo84

Can I pick Flynn? Lol! - Sharkgrrl19
202.9 #1588 10:03AM
I would take my father. He passed away in 1959 when I was 5. He is the one who started our love of Disney. He and my mom took me and my sister to Disneyland in 1955 after it opened. We have gone every year, except when he passed, since then. I would love him to see how the park has changed and grown. - Diznimom

In 1961 there was a plan for a street off of Main Street called Liberty Street with Edison Square attached. I find it interesting that they printed these ideas and not all of them ended up taking place.
Would had been cool! But no room for parade storage! - azcam08
203.2 #1584 1:38PM
I like the generically named "street" lol - ladylikesdisney
921.5 #95 1:37PM
They did call it Main Street but the "Main" is on a flag on the other side of the street. You just can't see it in my photo. It does look funny though. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 1:57PM
This is a cool artifact! just curious if this is ur personal collection or from somewhere else. Cite ur resource please. Sorry cant help it...I'm a librarian! - PickyPicky

It is my family's personal collection. My mom has been collecting the souvenir maps since she was a child. She lived in CA and went on the second day DL was open. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 1:44PM
I have one of those maps! Once I dreamed about going to Dland and actually visited that area. - MelodyMouse

What year is yours from? We couldn't find a date in the newer ones. Fortunately my mom marked a year in pencil on the back. - AKMouse 376.5 #364 5:23PM
