Finally got my tank top my A Step Ahead tank top in the mail. They're an easycore band from Phoenix (Similar to Four Year Strong, New Found Glory & A Day To Remember) I cant wait to wear it & represent Arizona easycore at the DLR! Even if it rains the day I go, I'm still gonna wear it (I love the rain anyway)
Well, finalized my plans. Bought my plane ticket last week, bought hotel & park ticket last night. Should be park bound on the 28th. I can't wait :) Finally returning after a 3 year absence! Gonna be nice to get out of Arizona for a weekend!
Jason Terry all day every day former U of A! Beardown Arizona alumni! ( I know Luke Walton is a former Wildcat but we're not claiming him at the moment lol). Not a Dallas fan, I'm a Suns fan that despises the Lakers (and Spurs)
Anyone take a advantage of free comic book day today? My mom was in town and I ate like with her so I got to the comic book store late. I got the last free comic, it's Sonic The Hedgehog but it was FREE so it's all good. Also bought a one shot 100pg Batman: Arkham. Not a huge comic collector but I do enjoy reading them every now & then.
This diet is killing me 1 week in. 4 small low calorie/fat meals, no processed foods or sweets. Only drinking water & tea w/ stevia. (Workout twice a day). Already seeing results, so that's good. Not breaking my diet until the 28th, which is the day of my trip to Disneyland from Arizona. Plan on having a "splurge" day at Denny's (on Harbor Blvd) & of course the food in the park. Vendors better be More...
I found a picture of my dad on Main Street. He was my age on this picture was taken. People say we look alike. I think I'm going to take a picture just like this when I go to Disneyland on the 28th same spot same pose. Then put pictures side by side, then giving him the 2 pictures in a single frame for his birthday. Cool idea?
I'm new here. Long time DLR goer. Had an AP when I was in the Army from 2004-2005 while stationed at Fort Bliss (been a civilian since 2005). Used to go almost every 4 or 3 day weekend. Since then only made 2 trips out (2006 & 2008). This is the longest I've been away. But I'm coming back May 28 & am super excited. I can't wait to use MW on my Android phone (bringing an extra battery too)
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
