They are mean to him because he is so sweet. I'm not saying he needs to stoop to their level but he needs to stand up to them. You're raising him the right way. These kids are just mean and have nothing better to do than to pick on him. They don't understand karma! It will bite them in the butt and it's going to hurt. You're boy sounds like a very sweet kid and your daughter is a VERY lucky girl to have him as a brother. Sounds like you've done a good job. I don't have kids of my own, but I think what you're doing is perfect. I'm 2 years old than my little brother and he used to do the same things for me. He'd protect me any day! Your son is a good brother. Every girl needs one. You're lucky too; to have such a nice boy. (: I hope he's able to stand up to these bullies one day and make them understand that he loves his sister and it's not nice to be mean (I hope that made sense. I think it sounded better in my head).
