Well hello there. I made a post to introduce myself and posted on Dave's post last night. I signed up about a month ago but never posted. Here I am now. Jumping in. I am a mommy to my 8 year old type 1 diabetic. We love all things Disney. Excited to have MouseWait to help us with wait times. We are headed there in 8 days! We have a diabetic who is 9 and you need to rush over to customer service. Our children who are type 1 need to be on schedule with there diabetes for eating and such. Guest services will give you a special pass for the whole family to either fast pass or hit the wheel chair line. That way you are not frantic standing in long lines thinking we wont be able to make this ride. Hope this helps you. I know how much work it is to have a child with type 1. Yes, we went and picked one up last visit and the man made it for two months since we are passholders. :-) We only use it when lines are crazy long. Hi! I've had type 1 since I was four. Is your child on injections, or pump therapy? I started pump therapy when I was 11, and it's awesome!!!! I now don't have to stick to a rigid schedule, and can even enjoy some of the wonderful sweet items like dole whips and candy apples. God bless disney for being understanding of everyone! Littleaprilshowers- She's had it for a year and a half. On injections right now, but working with CHLA to get on the pump. I would love for her to have more freedom with food. She also tested positive for Celiac disease so stressed on how all that will work with her diabetes. One thing at a time though. I am very happy our trips to the parks aren't difficult. @Luvs, I'm glad to hear she's working to get the pump. It's scary at first, but soooo worth it! Does your daughter have to be gluten free because of the celiac? (My sisters daughter has this). I would imagine that would make it much more difficult to plan a diabetic day at the park. Still, if any park could accommodate you, it's disney. I've seen lots of great posts in the past about gluten free options too. So glad you found this app. I'm hope it can be a big help for you. - LittleAprilShowers 471.0 #257 11:37AM

Most of my family are from Louisiana, so I'm really picky when it comes to gumbo and monte crisco. The gumbo is amazing, but not better than my grandmas. The Monte Crisco is amazing! But if you are not use to this kind of food, then you won't like it at all. I guess you could called it an acquired taste. I'm from the south, so I'm use to eating food that could possibly kill me at any moment, lol. :P - Nyghtngale
