We had so many wonderful birthday wishes and gifts, I don't know where to begin... First a big thank you to everyone who helped to make Lilly's birthday so wonderful. Next a big thanks to Lonelydriver for thinking "outside the box" for Lilly's Lego Ty Fighter. She's having to fight everyone off of it =D and thanks to flukefan & susieqzee for the pook-aloos, she found the Mad hatter at the days en More...
It looks like we are taking the kiddo to the park tomorrow. Birthday RAK is on. I had previously asked for feedback and I hope this helps. Please note the birthday girl is 11 & BLIND. She likes faries, AIW, the princesses, Minnesota & Star Wars. Suggested items: pins, candy, hats, stuffies, hair stuff, shaped items, kids jewelry & light up items. If you can close your eyes and feel it, you're on More...
I'm bringing my Birthday girl in August and would like to do a locker RAK, thing is she's blind. I'm wondering is there a way to ask for tactile items as opposed to writing tools and such without seeming ungrateful?? What are your thoughts?
A personal favorite is the beautifully hand crafted music box
A fun video from 2013, the story behind the music box with Clopin, Figaro and the even watch the Tangled Tower being put into the Fantasy Faire:
Of course, no trip to the Fantasy Faire would be complete without a visit to the Royal Hall. Loved this artist rendition, that's just how my girls are when they enter the Hall. ::sigh::
Took this next part directly from Disney Parks Blog:
“After walking into our main entrance, you will first go through a garden-like setting before entering the reception hall,” said Michel Den Dulk, Creative Director of Fantasy Faire for Walt Disney Imagineering. “Once inside the Royal Hall, guests will discover a beautiful gothic interior with nice wallpaper, wall cresting, wood finishes and chandeliers.”
Passing through a series of spaces, including the Grand Hall, you’ll have the opportunity to meet as many as three Disney princesses, from classic stories such as “Cinderella” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Dont forget to grab a sweet treat from Maurice's Treats! At the time, (isn't there more now?) the adorable cart featured 3 “Twists” and a new signature beverage: Boysen Apple Freeze.
In a tribute to the historic Carnation Plaza Gardens, a shield over the archway leading from Fantasy Faire to Rancho del Zocalo in Frontierland displays the letters “CPG.”
