So it's official!! Booked our summer trip for June 10th and 11th. The withdrawals can now stop. Gonna miss the reunion again this year by a few weeks. We will most likely have some RAK items to continue the great tradition started and in loving memory of Dahulagirl....

I'm having a really hard time understanding why my 6 and 3 yr old kids don't have a good time while at the parks... This was the third trip in a row that I had to take them back to the Grand Parents house early... This past weekend they literally made it about two hours before losing it... They both have been going to the parks since they were 5-6 months old.. All they could talk about the More...
Maybe bring their grandparents? Next time walk straight into Carsland. It could be they just don't want to wait in lines. Try to go when it's not as busy. Like tomorrow when it rains :) - pinkmonkeys

Maybe try taking them individually? Leave one with the grandparents if possible, maybe to a half day with each so they both get grandparent time and park time. That way they have your full undivided attention and they can do the things they want to do without having to be considerate of the other. I am not a parent but I have seen this technique work with friends of mine and their children. - Lola027

Maybe they just aren't ready for
Disneyland (i know--crazy concept!), and you need to just wait until they are a bit older. Leave them with the grandparents and go enjoy the parks with your wife. It should be fun for everyone. When you're ready to try again with them, prepare them as someone mentioned by showing videos of the park and talking to them about what to expect. Make sure they are well rested before the visit and take frequent breaks away from the crowds. Good luck! Hopefully they will outgrow this and grow to love the parks like all the rest of us do. - meridafan

Thanks. We have talked a lot about waiting until they are older for sure. I want them to have as good a time that I always do. I've been over 300 times, got married at the Disneyland Hotel and could go everyday if I could and it wouldn't get old. That's what I want for them... For those of you who have experienced both RSR and Test Track in Epcot, how do they compare? Speed, duration, etc. I know it may be early since only ap reviews etc are going on by somebody has to have experienced both. Just curious I have been on either so I'm interested in opinions
IMO, it's really the inside of each ride that differs so much.. the cars are the same and the track is somewhat the same, but test track is definitely faster and more focused on that aspect of it.. RSR focuses more on the story and like I said the inside is amazing.. They're so different but I love them both for different reasons. RSR also seemed longer to me. - DisneyLuvinMama
