If you are buying them near a blackout date you'd like to enter the park on, buy a regular set of tickets and then convert them to an annual pass at the end of your visit. That way you won't have to buy a blackout ticket for that day(s).
Thanks for all the kind words. It was taken with an iPhone 4s. After accidentally tossing my previous iPhone off that same ride this summer (it survived and was retrieved by CM Jorge!), I almost didn't take it out of my pocket to take this photo.
It can be pretty quick, but it depends on the line. Usually you can get into the park, and just keep walking by the AP office during the day to pick a time when the lines are shortest. With a relatively short line you should be out in about 15 minutes for a family.
My daughter got lost (she walked into the men's restroom while we were all walking into the women's...looked around and she was *poof* gone). And since I couldn't go into the men's room and had thought she was simply in a women's stall, it took some time to figure it all out. We found her browsing the store right next to the bathrooms as if nothing had happened. Cool as a cucumber for her, bigg More...
And a huge thanks to the CM Jorge at this ride two days ago who returned my iPhone after I unexpectedly and accidentally lost it on the ride (actually it flew 40ft off the ride into gravel). Not a scratch, can you believe it?
