My husband broke part of his foot earlier playing soccer, so I've been busy taking care of him and our daughter. I just finished up dinner: Chicken and garbanzo beans simmered in masala sauce, rice, and pita bread. And a glass of wine to help me through it all. πŸ˜‚

I am planning on having a Christmas tree with lots of ornaments that have meaning to my family, like the one I grew up with. However, husband, daughter, and I live with my mother-in-law for the time being and she is all about a themed tree with specific colors each year, etc. i can't wait to pick out allSorts of wonderful Disney holiday decorations.

Good morning the you. I'll be heading there bed pretty soon. Just watching Project Runway. I don' think I have any Disney themed Xmas decor. Maybe some ornaments?? How funny I can't remember what Xmas decorations I have! πŸ˜„ I guess that because I have so many!! πŸŽ„πŸŽπŸ˜³ - encinitasrunner  227.9 #1759 9:26PM
I loved Project Runway when they used to show it over here.  My children are very insistent that we have the same decorations every year, yet I had to ask my husband if we had any Disney decorations.  I too can't believe I don't remember what I've got!  Won't be long now until it's time to get them all out the attic again:-) - beentoall  1466.7 #0 9:33PM

Good morning. I didn't make it up last night, had an early day yesterday and couldn't stay awake. Our weather in Ohio has been a roller coaster last week we were in high 70s this week in the 60s with some frost at night.  Wish I was in the parks it's so beautiful at christmas. Coming to Scotland is one of my dreams, hope to one day. As far as decorations for my house, I have many Disney items. A large mickey wreath and lamp post in my porch. Thousands of ornaments adorn my 12 and 2- 7 ft trees and 5 alpine trees. Under the trees are villages of mickey minnie and gang, frozen, pooh and grinch. Numerous nic nacks in curios and on shelves and mantle. Can't wait to begin decorating. Hopefully next week.  - mmddgp  1680.6 #2 6:29AM

Good morning (afternoon)! Β Yes, we are too warm, I was leaving work about 7 pm last night and it felt like a warm, humid summer evening. Β I used to put my sandals and flip flops away about the first week of October, but not anymore! Β I used to love warm weather, but the last few years it seems like we have been unnaturally hot, and I have come to appreciate the cooler months more. Β I can't think of any Disney Christmas decorations, but we have lots of ornaments. Β We choose a new Disney one each year, and it's really fun to add to our collection. Β I'm also thinking of getting a Disney advent calendar this year.  ☺️ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  706.3 #323 7:16AM

My husband and I are trying to limit our spending so we're trying to prepare more meals at home rather than going out to eat. OMG, I love to cook and I love to eat out. Grew up with lots of brothers at Cetera so food was basic. I love to grow my own vegetables and herbs and come up with new recipes based on what's in my garden and my kids grew up eating differentthings so really did not like fast food at all. I love to try new restaurants and old favorites. Best meal was on the  island of Lipari on the Amalfi Coast. Was walking up a tiny cobblestone street and some giant doors were thrown open and then older gentleman asked if we would like to have dinner. We said yes so he said come back in an hour when we returned there were tables chairs fresh flowers and the most amazing meal laid out for us and our friends to share with local wine. Everything was so fresh and wonderful and so delicious. When various people tried to pay them they took very little and said they did not want more and said they loved having people on their little island to cook for. 😊😊. Thanks for hosting! - ShariRenee  14184.7 #6 9:31PM

We also don't eat out a whole lot mostly when we go to DL. We buy in bulk what we can and cook, we try to eat a whole foods diet but it's not always easy to cook everything from scratch esp with teething toddler. I like to cook but I don't enjoy it as much as I used to because I usually am rushed with the baby & i don't like hurrying like I'm on chopped! Hubby takes lunch to work so we keep that in mind when preparing meals so there is enough left over for him. - grapesoda  1175.6 #177 10:02PM
My daughter, almost 4, has been more open to trying new things which is nice, but I still take into account her tastes when shopping. My husband and I don't always agree on what sounds good...I try to be healthier and more balanced but that's not what he is into. He doesn't bring lunch to work though, so I just try to get enough so that my daughter and I have extra for our lunches. - KelstersInc2319  62.1 #4645 10:08PM
I totally get eating the same thing for every lunch or breakfast. And dinner too. It's just easier. Or you can make one big batch of something on Sunday And eat it  the whole week! If you're trying to learn how to cook simple ever is best because as long as you can taste the food the flavors will be fine. I've noticed when I tried to make real different stuff and I don't know how ,  there's more chance of it not tasting that great.πŸ™€ - secretagentangel  11071.3 #9 10:11PM
Oh, and I'm all about coupons and rewards programs when we do eat out. Fridays and Red Robin have easy rewards programs and I signed up for Mimi's emails which send me BOGO coupons often. - KelstersInc2319  62.1 #4645 10:28PM
I'm not very good but I try πŸ˜‚  I made my first pot roast yesterday, and it was a success!  I like to experiment with sides, salads, pastas/sauces, skillet meals, casseroles, and baking.  I have a hard time with meat.  But I'm getting better!  It's easier now that I have a Dutch oven.  My go-to meal is a spin off of my husband's family's Spanish rice recipe: I add hot Italian sausage and make a meal out of it. πŸ˜‹ - Spoonful_O_Sugar  706.3 #323 5:09PM
I worked the weekend but Saturday we did goOut to a restaurant called Quaker steak and lube. It's a sports bar decorated in nascar, motorcycles, corvets and whatever else car driver memorabilia. Known for the best wings around but we had the steak. Was veryGood. We go out once or twice a week but I enjoy staying home and cooking and eating here. We have to drive @ a half hour to go to eat so I'd rather just stay home unless we are going shopping after. I love to cook if I have things at home ready to cook and hubby will cook also but he loves to use the crock pot. My favorite meal he makes is meatloaf and his favorite meal I make in chicken papyricash.   Winter is my favorite time to cook love things like stuffed peppers and cabbage, roast both beef and pork and love home made soups and stews. To get out of the eating the same thing rut I will write meals down of things we haven't had for a while then go shopping for the ingredients. When I make it I make a double batch then we eat then I freeze 1/2. That's another day different week dinner.  - mmddgp  1680.6 #2 5:49PM

One of them looks a little short to be a stormtrooper.

Now they dressed as storm troopers I think people would have a good time and security. Cut down on complaints I thinkπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ - secretagentangel  11071.3 #9 6:44PM
