So sorry to hear about this. My mom has always been apprehensive about leaving things in my daughter's stroller while at the parks.  She and I keep our personal belongings: wallet, cards, phone, keys in a crossbody purse we wear on us at all times. Then we just keep jackets, water bottles, and my daughter's small backpack (filled with extra clothes and wipes) in the stroller basket.

We talked about this topic in the past five years s few times because it's happened before. That doesn't make it any better for you so I'm sorry for what they took. I was surrounded by two thieves a couple years ago but I saw them Watching me, I was taking some photos so I turned the camera and took their picture and they ran. But I'm not telling anyone to do that , what you want to just do is keep your things with you, if it's something you need but later, then you need to rent a locker. I use a  stroller and I take everything with me onto the attraction with me. And I've had my stroller gone through at least once now. It's just not the same world anymore and honestly if they're  a thief, it's just too easy of an open target. Because a lot of people think it's Disney we're safe. But thieves do have kids or not and  do go to Disneyland and they will take any advantage of any  opportunity. DL  can't even tell you they can protect all your things. Use an old stroller, but anything nice, put it in a locker.  - secretagentangel  6888.4 #17 9:48PM
Let me add for the ladies, always have your purse in sight while sitting/eating. Hanging on a chair back is not a good idea with so many people passing by - Quiweez  772.6 #256 9:02PM
Yep!! My niece, Kylee, just had hers stolen off the back of her chair at WDW, last week, while eating dinner with other new CMs @ Disney Springs (formerly DTD) 🙁 - misschurro...  7438.7 #12 10:29PM
That stinks! - Quiweez  772.6 #256 10:31PM
misschurro... Have you seen those little fancy purse hooks that you can place on most tables, so that your purse can be safely next to you and within eyesight, but not on the floor?  There's some really cute jeweled ones out there--might make a fun gift for her?   - Spoonful_O_Sugar  632.1 #339 8:27AM
Spoonful_O_Sugar yes!!! Excellent gifty idea! Thanks! Luckily, like 99.9% of teens, she eats with her cell phone right next to her, so it wasn't stolen!😂 - misschurro...  7438.7 #12 11:22AM
Happens a lot... My friends entire stroller along with all their purchases, bags, purse etc was on it... People suck - DarthFairy  499.2 #452 10:29AM
So sorry that sucks. I try to take all the stuff on each ride. I carry a rather large petunia pickle bottom diaper bag, her Ariel doll, water bottle have hooks so they hang from the bag and it seems I'm carrying the kitchen sink, when you add the baby too. I have forgotten my phone & iPad before but since they were out of sight they were still there when we got off the ride. I was so relieved. It's so hard to make sure u have everything every single time when u have a baby or kids. So sorry this happened. Some people suck, even people who go to the parks can be bad that's why it's important to keep an eye on the littles too.  - grapesoda  618.3 #347 11:12AM

I have had passes off and on for the last several years. I bought two of them as gifts for myself, plus the so cal was less than $400. Then, my husband surprised me a couple times with passes. My mom loves going to the parks as well so she decided to gift my daughter and I with passes so we could all go. We live in So Cal, 1 hr to 2 hr drive depending on traffic.

Very sad to admit I have an annual pass for about 8 years nowAnd I live in Australia 😊 - Donald1967  144.9 #2862 8:47PM
Wow! How often do you get to the parks? - BriarRose406  157.0 #2668 10:35AM
twice a year, and if I come back in October I will use the pass 3 times so way worth it - Donald1967  144.9 #2862 1:07AM
We have APs and live in Hawaii and only visit once a year. AP is cheaper than buying 6-day Park Hoppers (as long as you go a week earlier than the previous year you get 2 visits out of 1 pass!) - msdizmaui  759.2 #263 3:52PM
We had s from 2011-2015, when we lived in So. OC.  We are, sadly, now less since we moved back to the Central Coast.  I'm happy to be back home, but I do miss going to the Parks on a weekly basis.    to  for tiding me over until we get to go back - DisneyHeidi09  190.4 #2165 6:10PM
We live on the Central Coast too! I'll admit, we have deluxe passes and we try and go down to disneyland any chance we get. There was a point where we went 3 weekends in a row! Thank goodness for credit cards for fuel! Lol! - acdesigns  38.4 #5474 3:06PM

Maybe we need a Central Coast Chapter! Hahahaha! - acdesigns  38.4 #5474 4:42PM
We went to an event yesterday, and it was reconfirmed to us how much of a value an AP is, in comparison. 😂 $25 entrance fee, DL prices for food/drinks, hour + lines for said food/drinks, porta potties, very crowded with no one helping control the lines, etc.  we went for a few hours, then spent more $ by going to Red Robin afterward.  😂 We spent more than what the monthly payment for an AP would be for both of us I n one day.  There are lots of families that do that several times a month, and they love it and that's great.  We all choose how we want to spend our free time and money.  For us though, we realized for the umpteenth time why it's better to skip stuff like that and put it toward the things we enjoy more.  Could have just BBQ'd at home with our friends and everyone would have had a nice, clean restroom with a flush toilet and no lines 😂😂😂 - Spoonful_O_Sugar  632.1 #339 4:33PM
I don't have an AP either. We currently live in TX. I'm working on talking my husband into moving back so we can become APs. As a former Cast Member it's so hard not being able to go all the time! 😭 - tink86  3.4 #31312 6:31PM

Cheesy garlic bagel twist, cream cheese pretzel, and Cozy Cone pretzel bites with cheese.

Can I ask a really kind of dumb or  embarrassing question? Do moms normally bring the child's portapotty with them? Reason I ask is I saw one this weekend hanging off the side of a double stroller.  - secretagentangel  6888.4 #17 2:39PM
That's not something I ever did or have I ever seen. It could've been circumstances where the child really likes their very own potty and feels most comfortable. - misschurro...  7438.7 #12 3:04PM
secretagentangel I have seen this a few times at various places. I don't and wouldn't do that. However, once potty training starts it seems you don't want to mess with it too much so if that's what the kid needs, I can see some parents making sure those needs are met. - KelstersInc2319  60.7 #4539 11:11PM
Maybe hide it in a plastic bag? I get parenting is tough and maybe needed even for special reasons, but it looked a bit gross. And I was snacking as I walked so I just tried to not look. I'm not a super clean freak but it didn't look super sanitary just hanging on the stroller. She had a few kids, looked a bit overwhelmed so I hope it helped her.  - secretagentangel  6888.4 #17 11:36PM

We LOVE the Tropicana!! I live about four hours away and like to be right across the street from the park. The shuttles from hotels are nice, but when your exhausted after 12-15 hours in the park, it's nice to walk across the street and pass out!! Plus you are close in case you forget something... Also you are close to restaurants and convenience stores right outside the park.  Tropicana is clean, safe, great priced and the staff is awesome!
