Hello my fellow mousewaiters! I just have a quick question for you; does any store at Disneyland/DCA/Downtown sell the attraction posters like they have at the Disneyland entrance? Maybe not the same size, but smaller? My little brother wants me to pick some up for him and for the life of me I can't remember ever seeing them at a store. So if you could let me know if they sell them, and where, tha More...
Been having withdrawals since I haven't been to my favorite park in almost six months, so I did the ultimate impulse thing to do; book a trip to Disneyland! Coming down August 7-10 and hope to see some of you there so I can pay forward for all the wonderful things Mrs. RC Mom and her family did for me when I last came =]
Greetings from Disney world!! After the past 6 months of rehab from my car accident, I was lucky enough to be able to take a trip to Florida with my family. Magic Kingdom is amazing, but definitely doesn't have the same Disney feel that everyone gets when they go to Disneyland. I will be posting lots more photos soon!
20 hours, 2 plane rides, two shuttles, and a bunch of coffee later, my down and back trip to Disneyland to surprise my girlfriend was a complete success! Thank you so so SO much to RCMom and her amazing, wonderful family for helping me get on Radiator Springs Racers and helping me make this trip one of the most memorable trips for me ever, my girlfriend could not stop talking about how amazing Car More...
People of MouseWait! I have a huge favor to ask of you.
As some of you know, I had a trip to Disneyland planned for the week of Christmas with my girlfriend,it would be our first trip to the parks together. However, I was involved in a car accident the week of Thanksgiving, and have been in and out of hospitals, doctors appointments, and physical therapists ever since. I have recently been given More...
To everybody posting photos of the parks, foods, RAks, etc., I just want to say thank you. I was supposed to be making a trip down to the parks from San Francisco this week. Unfortunately, my trip got cancelled when I got rear-ended on the freeway, and have been in and out of the ER for the past week or so. Disneyland during the holidays is one of the most memorable events in my life ever, and thi More...
A quick question for all of you. I am trying to surprise my little cousins for a late Christmas/early birthday gift, and take them down to the parks in the beginning of the year,
around January 7th or so. I know that the Christmas celebration is until the 6th. My question is, will the decorations still be there on the 7th? And also, will Haunted Mansion be shut down to convert it ba More...
So my brother, cousin and I took our friend to Disneyland for the first time since he was 2. Take a guess at which one he is lol. Btw those reactions are legitimate haha. One more month until I'm back down with the missus!
Greetings everybody! I had a question for the best Disneyland information center in the world!
The Disneyland hotels offer a "celebration gift basket" where you can have a gift basket sent up to your room, so it's there when you open the door. I was thinking about getting one for my girlfriend when we come later this year for our anniversary, and I was wondering if anybody has ever had/bought a b More...
This is MrMOMzers wonderful picture with a little magic added! We've been beta testing the MouseWait Advanced Composer for awhile now. This allows approved MWers to create their own "column" in the Lounge with expanded posts, pics, and videos inside the post. We are ready to open this feature up to more people who are intersted in having their own MouseWait Column in the Lounge. Your posts could be featured on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ and seen by our 100,000+ strong social media audience!
This feature is best used for instructional posts, history posts (like Duchess_SMK's column), and for reporting news (i.e. BaseballMickey_CM's posts). You could also do this to create a post describing your recent visit to the Parks with multiple pictures, videos, and more--think of it like an article that would appear in a magazine. The Advanced Composer only works on the web version. GO HERE TO APPLY and watch your email for more info (make sure you're email client is not blocking our emails or sending them to Spam--for some reason icloud.com, me.com, and mac.com will not allow our messages to come through.)
Thank you to everyone who strives to add quality content to the Lounge! Thanks again to MrMOMzers for the amazing picture!
Mr. Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. He was the fourth born Disney son. He was named after his parents pastor and friend Walter Parr, a preacher at St. Paul Congregational Church. The pastor, in turn, will later name his son Elias, after Walt's father.
Most of Walt's childhood was spent on a farm in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1911, the family moved to Kansas City, where his love for trains really developed. His Uncle, Mike Martin, was a train Engineer who worked on the route between Fort Madison, Iowa, and Marceline. Walt would later work a summer job with the railroad, selling newspapers and snacks to the travelers. To read more about Walts love for trains

To watch a short biography of Walts life:
Walt and Lillian Disney with unnamed friend, London, 1935.
Walt Disney in my opinion, is a wonderful example of the American dream! He represents: imagination, optimism, creation, and self-made success in the American tradition. He brought us closer to the future, while telling us of the past, it is certain, Walt Disney was a great man! He and his brother Roy co-founded Walt Disney Productions, which became one of the best-known motion-picture production companies in the world! Disney was an innovative animator and created the cartoon characters we all love to watch today. :) He won 22 Academy Awards during his lifetime, and was the founder of the magical playgrounds that ties us all together, Disneyland and Disney World. Had he been alive today he would be 112 years old! Happy birthday Walt! Thank you so much for believing in your dreams! You are a true inspiration.
In honor of today, it would be fun if we all mentioned our favorite quote from Mr. Disney. I'll go first, I have many, but this one always sticks out:
"I've always been interested in the past and history and I think it's vital."
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a terrific Thursday!
