So I'm watching So Random (yes, by myself) and they have this little boy band called Mindless Behavior play on the break. Those kids can DANCE! They are so cute! Yep, totally impressed by a Disney pre-teen boy band. Don't hate. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about!
Does anyone have a My First LeapPad, and want some books and cartridges for it? Ours just died :( there are six book/cartridge sets, plus the book that comes with the LeapPad that doesn't require a cartridge. They are a little loved, but they work :) just post if you are interested, I'll pick someone tonight after the kids go to bed.
Anyone watch "My Strange Addiction" on TLC?!?! Tonight we have a transgendered woman who prefers to live "her" life acting like a baby. And another woman who likes to eat dryer sheets. This is the craziest show I've ever seen!!! What's on your tube?

I LOVE Disney trivia, here's one I just ran across while watching UP: "The villain Charles Muntz is named after Charles Mintz, the Universal Pictures executive who in 1928 stole Walt Disney's production rights to his highly-successful "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit" cartoon series. This led Walt Disney to create Mickey Mouse, who soon eclipsed Oswald in popularity." cool huh?! :)
Allrighty, fellow MWers! We are going to the Mickey's Halloween Party on October 21st!!! We're super excited, and it would be awesome to do some trick-or-treating with a big group of MWers! Let's do this! Who else will be there, with or without kids?
I've noticed some interest in starting a pen-pal or email-pal thing with the younger MouseWaiters. Say, the 13-17 crowd maybe? If you are interested, shoot me an email at allysonalldritt @ yahoo dot com and let me know your MW name, age, and whether you prefer snail-mail or e-mail. Let's see how much interest this generates and we will go from there! :)
I've had a busy mailbox this week! Thanks to IAmAlwaysCrazy for the sweet Disney Craft & Recipe CD! Thanks to GoofyJoe for the MouseWait pins! Thanks to HandMeAChurroImmaFaint for the little girl clothes for my niece! And a BIG (belated) thank you for RanchoDeluxe for the AWESOME photos you sent me! Oh, how i wish i could attend the D23 Expo: "Attendees to the Expo, from August 19–21 at the Anaheim Convention Center, just across the street from Disneyland Resort, will be able to visit the “Carousel of Projects,” a pavilion that pays loving homage to a favorite classic Disney Parks attraction: “Carousel of Progress.” Inside, guests will get a sneak peek at what’s in store for Disne More...
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
