First time trying both of these and I was so pleasantly surprised! The mint julep was CRAZY refreshing! Not at all what I thought it was going to be! And really, how can you go wrong with a cake pop?

Cars Land is pretty awesome! Pomegranate limeaid, apple freeze, and churro bites! Also I rode RSR last night because this incredibly awesome family gave my party their fast passes! So awesome!
What's that dip for the churros? - MyPark  943.8 #91 8:07PM
It was a "spicy" chocolate sauce but it wasn't the least bit spicy? - brianacupcakes  7.0 #8144 8:11PM
I think by spicy they meant spice, because it is just a cinnamon chocolate sauce. - mermaidhair  176.3 #1909 8:12PM
Interesting. - MyPark  943.8 #91 8:13PM
Oh maybe it did say just spiced and I wishfully ready spicY haha because that would be awesome! What you said makes more sense hahah - brianacupcakes  7.0 #8144 8:30PM
Maybe they meant spicy by like spice-y! Haha. :-) - mermaidhair  176.3 #1909 11:23PM

yup thats how much my AP costed back atleast that how much I remembered when I had to pay for my own in 2001. those were the good ol' days - aliasgrrl86  220.1 #1353 4:21PM

Okay please don't bash me because I promised I searched and found nothing...did anyone else see that story today on the teen girl who was denied access to the park because she was dressed as Tinkerbell? She was on the news..crying real tears over it. Isn't there a rule against costumes over a certain age?
Its not Halloween for crying out loud....They dont want guests getting confused between a real Disneyland Character and some 15 year old who wishes she was a character - Dave  8635.3 #2 5:03PM

Well, MrsBlue he has been a banana at DL. I just bumped it. 😏 - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2547.3 #22 9:51PM
He may have put on the banana for that picture but he never walked through the gates dressed in it. Smart man 😂😂😂 - RandyNewman  401.0 #332 9:56PM
SIC- read my statement again. Dave has never walked through the gates as a banana. He has worn the banana suit on the last drop of Splash. But never tried to take away from the show that is DL. - Mrsblue  692.4 #145 9:58PM
I beg to differ. MrsBlue is absolutely correct. Dave HAS NEVER gone through the gates as a banana - Dahulagirl  1053.2 #80 9:58PM
Good grief, this is all being taken way too seriously. - Sweet_Irish_Cream  2547.3 #22 10:02PM

What about when Dave dressed as Tigger? What about then? - RandyNewman  401.0 #332 10:05PM

@SIC Yes! Too serious.. - LizO™  470.0 #258 10:21PM

POLL: what is your best and worst Disneyland memory? My worst was in the 4th grade when I spent weeks and weeks selling candy to fundraise with my school choir so we could go to a competition in Disneyland and I got chicken pox THE DAY before we left... Best was when my boyfriend and I were literally the only ones in New Orleans square on our last trip because it was night and raining...felt lik  More...
Worst is getting kicked off star tours in 97 because I couldn't buckle the seatbelt. Best is losIng the weight and winning a contest to be one of the first 2000 to ride the relaunch last year - bigben1138  310.2 #557 11:00PM

Worst: 10 years old first trip to DL ever..there's a picket line at main entrance..(esplanade and DCA were a huge parking lot)..being the little adult that I was, I walked up to a CM patrolling the picket line and asked what was going on...they said the characters were on strike! What do you mean, I asked...he went on to tell me, you know Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck etc, there all on strike...I looked back at the picket line and saw people...not truly understanding...he must've saw the confusion on my face, because he said, you know that's all pretend...it's costumes and stuff...still fully not comprehending, I went back to my Aunt who heard everything and was mortified! So my first DL trip had no characters EVER...Best: this past weekend!! Reunion Rocked! - Shangz  286.7 #687 10:59AM
Geez, he could have just said the employees were disagreeing with the other employees and that is it. - Lelundrial  341.0 #427 11:03AM
:-( That's so sad the cm did that. - Fanatic4Disney  257.9 #926 11:09AM
I would say my best Disneyland memory was going to Disneyland after my boyfined was killed in afghanstsin. Going to DL was the first time I smiled and laughed and ate in almost a week and a half after he died. Going to DL after he died was a special memory because that was our favorite place to go together. The worest memory was going to Disneyland after he died and watching the flag retreat. It really it home to me. Im pretty sure everyone around me thought I was crazy because I just broke down crying. - Flyingtoneverland  188.1 #1770 11:12AM

Does anyone know if you have to use a room key to enter the park from the Grand California hotel or can any old person cut through the hotel? Thank you!
The signs say the entrance is reserved for hotel guests, but I've never been asked to show a key either while staying there or just going to hang out in the lobby - MelodyMouse  941.7 #92 9:43PM

Poll Question: which is better in your opinion and why: space mountain or CA screaming? I'd say CA Screaming because nothing beats the thrill of that initial takeoff!
Gotta be Screamin; Nothing gets your pulse racing faster! It's only ~55 MPH but feels like 100! - Shroppy  272.5 #806 2:51PM
I love them both but I'm gonna say Space Mountain because it is classic and it never gets old. Screamin used to turn My stomach depending where I sat but that might have been health related. Will know in 3 weeks. Yay - Disneylanddad702  401.7 #330 4:30PM
As much as I like screamin , space is so much better. your experience starts from the minute you step in line. - Lilbitodisneycrazy  217.9 #1383 5:01PM
No no, if you want a seriously thrilling ride you don't go to Disneyland. You go somewhere less magical. Space Mountain hands down. The que is awesome and the roller coaster is so unique. - erincredible  199.6 #1637 5:13PM

My boyfriend and I were arguing about this: who calls the final shots about things that get done at Disneyland? Is it just a team of people who have authoring or does a Disney descendent still give the final approval? I'm genuinely curious about this so I will not accept someone saying Mickey Mouse is the final authority!! 😜

I know micechat is frowned upon by some members of this community, but they do put put a very informative newsletter via email every so often. There are often interesting tidbits on Disney's "chain of command" in the parks, and how it plays in to what is done and what is not done. I would recommend suscribing to the newsletter (but MW's lounge is much cooler than their forums!) - WhyIsTheRumGone  68.6 #3430 4:34PM
