Woohoo, my next trip is in a week!! Question about a lunch reservation: I want to eat at the Carthay Circle Restaurant while I'm there- do you think I'll need a reservation?
Yes I would make one just to be safe! :) - CMseashelly  32.6 #4262 9:06AM
oh, and enjoy your trip! :) - CMseashelly  32.6 #4262 9:06AM
Thanks! - Sheilamo  318.2 #530 2:43PM
If you want any control over what time you eat the answer is yes. We ate lunch there last week with no reservation. We were told to come back at 2:30 and that they wouldn't take walkins until then - Pixarprincess  531.4 #215 9:06AM
Ahh, good to know! I don't care when I eat but if this is what happens when you go without reserving a table then maybe I'll make a reservation. - Sheilamo  318.2 #530 2:42PM

I know that there are disneyland cats, but is there a disneyland dog on the grounds? When my husband and I arrived on Sunday we saw a dog walking around on the grass just inside the dland entrance (where the mickey head in flowers is). Pluto, Goofy, and Dug are the only Disney dogs that come to mind of those that roam the parks - cesium55  529.7 #217 1:34AM

Interesting, I would also like more info on this. Besides the cats, never heard of a dog staying at the park.. - MagicalLand  378.4 #358 1:16AM
I would think that if they allowed an unleased dog in the park DL would be violating some city ordinance somewhere. It might have been a dog allowed) as a service animal that got spooked. It's the only scenario that I can think of. - garyknowz1  9.7 #6857 3:11AM
I highly doubt its a service dog. I could not leave my service dog behind. I would be staying in that park till someone caught her. Besides it would take that dog a long time to get out of his vest as well of that was the case. I'm so curious where the dog came from that's for sure. - tswift13_Baileys  13.5 #5925 3:22AM

Interesting. I have not encountered a dog. - RickChavez  2186.7 #30 12:43AM
I was pretty surprised myself, but no one seemed to care there was a loose dog and I haven't been there enough to know whether or not to be concerned about it so I shrugged it off but it's been bugging me ever since we got back today and i've had a chance to think about it. - Sheilamo  318.2 #530 12:51AM
Service dogs go potty wherever. :) LOL We were in Critter Country and a service dog stopped and just started peeing. You could tell he was holding it, and his owner gave him a stern punishment. We felt sorry for the poor little fella. :( - PeachKay  310.6 #557 12:43PM
I have been seeing A LOT of ppl with dogs lately. I guess that's the thing now? These aren't service dogs either. Little poodles in sweaters, wrapped in blankets and hanging out of purses does no one a service. Unless of course they sniff out good deals or bark at pick pockets? Is there anything official on this yet, as far as your dog sighting or these purse dogs I've seen? - 559MickeyLover  266.9 #856 12:58PM

I was gonna wait until Carsland was open again to go back to DL, but I can't wait! I'm planning a trip during my spring break in March and I'm so excited! Crossing my fingers that not a whole lot of schools have the same week off! (March12th-17th) Yay, Disneyland!
We'll be there for spring break that week too!! It was Busy last year too...but we had a blast and the nice weather and fun at the parks put EVERYONE in a good mood! - KelleyandTyler22  456.7 #268 2:35PM

I had a lot of trouble connecting to mousewait while I was visiting the parks last week so I could hardly get on, but I had a great time! Thank you to all of you for introducing me to the beignets, the corn dog stand, and the churros. What are your dietary restrictions and which restraunt did you eat at? Im glad you had fun! Mouse wait is a wonderful place to discover these things from :) hope you get to return soon!! - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 12:52PM

I was there last week also and had trouble with connecting to Mouse Wait as well.... I did meet some wonderful mouse waiters and finally was able to post a RAK locker. Thank You to all the Mouse Waiters - ColoradoMickey  534.9 #213 1:21PM
That is a shame. I know that the Wine Country Trattoria was very accommodating to my needs. I have heard iffy things about Ariel's Grotto. But I am really glad you did not let it ruin your trip :D - tiggertwin  317.8 #532 6:46PM

I think we need to have a moment of silence for Steve Jobs, for without him, Pixar never would have been able to give us all the wonderful movies we love and cherish. Rest in Peace, Mr. Jobs.

Do they really do World of Color Shows after California Adventure closes?! I bought the WOC Dinner for October 13th and the schedule on Disney's website says DCA closes at 8:00 and that the WOC show is at 8:15. Is that right?
Yes. - goofball  450.1 #274 8:56PM
I have been to an 1115 when they were already closed of I remember correctly. I'd be inside the park at closing time just incase. You'd probably get in anyway with your pass though. - Tom  3872.9 #7 8:56PM

So I was wondering , what do the chefs at a restaurant do if their restaurant goes down for refurbishment? Where is everyne that usually works Blue Bayou, on a long vacation or relocated elsewhere? I'm curious if anyone knows.
I was at Blue Bayou the night it closed and asked cuz I'm curious (sounds better than nosy), some took vacations others went to different restaurants. - sewgirl  340.5 #431 4:02PM

Halloween Party question! I am not local to California and have a 4-day park hopper pass and a ticket to Mickey's Halloween party. Will I be able to scan both my tickets in the morning when I enter the park, or am I going to have to go back to the gates and get in line to scan the ticket before the party starts? Anyone else done this before?
We have APs . They and the Halloween tickets were scanned when we went in about 3 p.m. We got our wristbands and candy bags at a table before we went through the tunnel. It's the wristbands that are important. That's what is looked for later in the evening. As long as you have a wristband (if that's what they are using this year) you shouldn't have to go back. - cinderelli  325.7 #495 1:41PM
Oh yeah, I think I remember someone saying you could arrive three hours early. Was 3 p.m within that window? - Sheilamo  318.2 #530 6:24PM
The tickets says that entry may begin at 4, I don't know if they give the wrist bands starting then - bigben1138  310.2 #558 6:54PM
Cool, thanks for the info, you guys! I guess I'll just ask when I get there if I can pick up my wrist band from inside the park. - Sheilamo  318.2 #530 11:23PM

Hello, MWers! I am going to the parks in October and am on a budget. Which should I pick, Mickey's Halloween Party or the Fantasmic! dessert package? I haven't been to the Halloween party or seen Fantasmic! before and I'm going with someone who is experiencing their first visit to the parks. Which would you pick, if you couldn't do both?
I would pick the halloween party!! - JenInWonderland  1025.1 #86 10:12AM
I would pick halloween party cause you can still watch fantasmic without the dessert - beastfearn  128.1 #2606 10:13AM
