Good evening friends! It's time for this week's edition of Disney Mania Monday! Please describe your scariest moment at any Disney park or attraction! I will share mine later tonight! Let the stories begin!
My fist time on HM when I was little. I sat on my mommy's lap and closed my eyes the whole way through. The opening elevator scene with the scream FREAKED ME OUT! - rebray10  245.1 #1049 6:40PM
The scream freaks out my daughter. She loves the rest of the ride. - ScooterMike  1959.8 #35 7:03PM
I did the same thing. only I was ten! That elevator was seriously creepy. - PartOfYourWorld  74.5 #3334 11:27PM
When I was 14 , I went to the park with a school friend & her family. We ended up getting lost & separated from her fam, since decided to not waste time and get on a lot of rides b4 reporting ourselves to city hall ...when we finally did, her mom looked like she was on fire & wanted to kill us!! THAT look on her moms face was scary!! - SylSnowWhite  305.8 #579 6:54PM
A few years back, we rode Thunder Mnt a couple of days after it crashed. I wasn't too worried about it, I did feel bad about the accident but it didn't stop us from getting on. Anyhoo, it broke down on the 2nd hill with the goat. We were so sure another train was going to hit us! It was the scariest 10 minutes. But we did get to walk off and it was fun going through the mountain and seeing all the behind the scenes stuff. - FoolishMortal138  234.1 #1179 7:29AM
I want to share mine now:) it was in wdw on expedition everest and the ride stalled at the part where there is no where else to go but backwards! We were sitting there for about five minutes and we were all freaking out then they didn't tell us that the ride was resuming so we just all of a sudden start to go backwards really fast and I thought we were all going to die! - thebigr  8.1 #7528 2:45PM

I wonder how much it costs to rent out disneyland.... Tempting.
More money then all of us combined on MW. Unless you are a CEO of a Corporate company. If you are, hiii bff! lol jk :)  - Armenda  983.6 #89 1:28PM
I am not sure how much, but if companies can do it, I am sure MW could if we wanted to - OutNumberedMom  772.4 #126 2:03PM
Well.... - Minnis2Society  360.0 #388 2:42PM
See my post below... We tried. Icahn talk specifics if you like but we could only rent it in off hours. - akpoppins  243.3 #1064 2:54PM
Bill Gates is that you? - vincentchase  636.7 #167 1:29PM
Many companies have done it. (Microsoft does it every year) Recently, there was a carpet company that did their own show of the "Remember" fireworks and character meet and greets. - BaseballMickey_CM  2804.5 #16 4:58PM
My dad worked for Northrop Grumman for years and they would rent out the park for like 6 to 8 hours at night in September sometime. That was back in the late 80's early 90's tho.... Was awesome when it was just his company and not a combined event.. Just walk on everything - Disneylanddad702  401.7 #328 5:17PM

Good evening mousewait friends:) welcome to this weeks edition of Disney Mania Monday! This weeks topic is your favorite ride when you were a kid (or when you first started to remember or go to Disney parks). Mine is and always will be Splash Mountain. Obviously I couldn't go on that ride when I first started going to disneyland, but many of my favorite childhood Disney memories are wrapped up in   More...
My favorite as a kid was the Tea Cups!!! I would run to this ride and want to go on it over and over again, even after a full meal!! - KadensMommy  316.0 #537 6:57PM
Peter Pan =] - Mandofett  240.6 #1101 6:58PM
Mine too!! - NeverlandClub  314.5 #540 5:46AM
Mine three!! - princessmichelle  266.8 #854 9:39PM
I went to Disneyland for the first time this year and I loved the New Orleans Twist. I went to Disney World as a kid several times and loved Figment's Journey into Imagination!!! - oceanlover022  152.9 #2247 8:14AM
Mine too was also splash mountain. I remember thinking we were going right in the briar patch, 22 years later it is still one of my favs as long as its not too cold outside - MickeyMousefanatic  160.4 #2149 8:17AM
Then we definitely have a lot in common:) - thebigr  8.1 #7528 6:03PM

Let Disney Mania Monday begin!! This weeks topic is on the scariest ride stall you have ever been on! Mine is when I was much younger on mr. Toads wild ride and it stopped right in the middle of hades! It was so hot and scary!! What's yours?? Please share and keep up the fun:)
Stopped at It's a Small World right before getting back into the sunlight. We were stuck with slight darkness with the neverending song for about half an hour... They wouldn't even let us of the boats! Now that's scary. 😨 - SSTMClimber  222.2 #1330 8:44PM
Haha I could see how that would be super annoying! I dont think I could stand it I would swim out of there!;) - thebigr  8.1 #7528 8:46PM
Omg that's my fear. I can't go on small world without my music. - Veronica21  167.9 #2033 9:17PM
Was that right after you shouted "Stop the Small World, I want to get off!" - MelodyMouse  941.5 #92 5:31AM
Oh my gosh, I got stuck in that same exact place in Mr. Toad's. My friend and I were in the car together, and every "scary" thing we went by we were playfully screaming. Right as we got to Hades, we started to fake scream and then it just stopped, so the funny shrieks turned into actual screaming. Mymom and brother were back in the courtroom scene and they could hear us screaming bloody murder from all the way back there! - CM_LionGeek  340.2 #428 9:53PM
Indy...stalled right under him hanging from the rope...ball was rolling toward us and his legs were moving around. Made it hard to remember he wouldn't fall on us lol. - pridegirl  377.2 #361 5:22AM
Just hangin around w Dr. Jones - MelodyMouse  941.5 #92 5:45AM
My family and I were on screamin and it stopped abruptly right on the picture turn. It was so scary for it to slam to a stop like that....the next day is when they had the huge crash on the ride ...we were sore for weeks after. - stitchgrl434  188.8 #1760 5:49AM

Welcome to tonight's Disney Mania Monday! Tonight's discussion question is your earliest childhood Disney memory! Mine is when I was 8, my parents "were going on vacation" then when we went to the airport with my grandmother we found out we were all going to disneyland! We were so excited! We stayed in the Paradise Pier Hotel back when it was newer;) and I still remember getting make your own piz  More...
I went to WDW with my grand parents when I was 7. I remember being terrified of haunted mansion and having my eyes closed the whole time. Also thinking that the canons on pirates were real. Lol. And I got lost for a couple minutes during a parade. - MrsSke11ington  38.8 #4024 8:58PM
You know what I remember being super scared of the haunted mansion when I was younger too! I think we may have all been! Anyone who wasn't?? - thebigr  8.1 #7528 9:02PM
I saw that floating candelabra at the beginning and freaked out. Closed my eyes the rest of the ride. Lol. - MrsSke11ington  38.8 #4024 9:08PM
I wasn't too scared, only because we had the record and had it memorized. We thought it was so cool to see the actual house for the first time! - PeachKay  310.6 #554 9:10PM
My early panic attacks always started more when I saw the creepy cast members... I would always cry in the elevator! Not good memories for me :/ - thebigr  8.1 #7528 9:11PM
Earliest memory was driving from Colorado to Florida in a remodeled school bus to WDW. My dad tried to talk us into Six Flags Over Texas and we said no way. But here is the funny part....we get into a line for lodging at Fort Wilderness, but my dad being what he was, had not made reservations. The cm laughed at him, but then a cancellation came thru right while we sat there. We stayed in Fort Wilderness after all :) My dad was so lucky....best vacation ever. - PeachKay  310.6 #554 8:46PM
That's awesome! Did you do the tent or lodge style accomodations when you stayed there? - thebigr  8.1 #7528 8:53PM
They had that campground...this was 1977. So we stayed in our tricked out school bus. :) We had this cool CM that drove us to the park on a shuttle looking cart thing ...he was so much fun. It was my first experience with that magical person called a cast member. - PeachKay  310.6 #554 9:04PM
Awesome! I would love to stay in a tricked out school bus! Sounds totally awesome:) - thebigr  8.1 #7528 9:07PM
It was cool and dorky at the same time. :) We never had the chance to paint it, so it was still school bus yellow. We broke down on New Mexico and had to pull over, warning flashers on. When we looked outside after a few minutes, there was a line of cars waiting. They thought we were letting off children. :) It was this trip that made me a huge fan of "the road trip!" - PeachKay  310.6 #554 9:32PM
Not my very first DL memory, but definitely one of the earliest...my family planned a trip to Sea World while we were visiting my cousins in OC. My sisters and I were not super excited about going to Sea World b/c we wanted to go to Disneyland so bad! We were driving there and all of a sudden we look out the window and see the "Happiest Place On Earth" sign! My parents had tricked us...best surprise ever!! - Ms.Disney  115.1 #2804 9:43PM
My first time on Indy! I was such a huge Indy fan when I was younger (still am!) And I just thought it was the best experience/ride ever! (still is). - KailaLovesCars  145.9 #2349 10:16PM
