I just wanted to take a second to thank all the people who have been posting pics and descriptions of TLM, ST and the new parade! I know not everyone wants the "spoilers" but as someone who hasn't been to the parks in almost 5 years (and no trips planned any time soon) it makes me feel like I am there to experience a tiny little piece of the magic :) so thankful for this App!!
RAK!!! It's my first one so I hope I do it right. It's a small Disney tote (10x8) I'm not a bag or purse person but my sister used this as my Easter basket a few years back so hopefully someone will enjoy it. :) Random winner will be chosen on Wednesday (5/25)
Ok who here has kids who love Special Agent Oso on Disney Junior? So my son (who will be 3 in July) has started a new thing every time he falls (or pretends to fall) he says "It's all part of the plan...more or less" hehe so funny how they catch on to those phrases. Anyone else's kids quote shows in real situations?
So Question? What are some traditions you had at DL while growing up that you are going to share/pass down to your spouse and/or children? I remember one of my favorite things was seeing my clothes and hand stamp shine bright in Peter Pan because of the black lighting in there...I'd like to show my kids that some day :) anyone else care to share?
Hey guys, just wondering what everyone thought of Disney Junior as opposed to the old Playhouse Disney. I gotta say I miss those little monkeys Ooh and Aah. I do like the new shows Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Babar and the Adventures of Badou. Just curious if everyone likes the change?
Not Disney related but I needed to vent...I have Jury Duty tomorrow and I'm NOT looking forward to it. My step-mom is watching my kids but they are usually with me so I'm a little worried :( Cross your fingers that I don't get picked for a Jury!!! I'd much rather be home watching Mickey Mouse clubhouse for the billionth time! Ok done venting now
So I was at the Drs. Office with my little guy and the movie in the waiting room was Beauty and the Beast. It was toward the end and it totally took me aback when Gaston stabbed the beast. It's like I was watching it for the first time all over again. I cant believe after all these years that part still gets to me! Such a good movie!
Morning! Up "early" for my little guys 9month check up. Thought I'd share what my almost 3 year old asked me yesterday..."mommy, are you a girl like Minnie and Daisy?" I said "yep, I am" and he said "and I'm a boy like Mickey?" once again I replied "yep!" :) hope everyone has a great day!
Groundbreaking for the Temple of the Forbidden Eye occurred in August 1993. More than 400 Imagineers worked on its design and construction. Tony Baxter led a core project team of nearly 100 Imagineers.
Several early concepts were considered for Indy including a walk-through adventure and a high-speed mine car adventure within a temple. To avoid a long queue, Imagineers even considered using Jungle Cruise launches to shuttle guests to the loading area. The team tested key show elements in a Burbank warehouse on a full-sized elevated track that resembled a freeway. This enabled the team to test set pieces, lighting, effects, transport clearances and motion profiles.
To create space for the 0.5-mile queue area and the 50,000-square-foot show building, an area of the former "Eeyore" parking lot was demolished, and the Monorail and Jungle Cruise attractions were rerouted. As I'm sure some of you know, an old Eeyore parking sign is hidden up in the rafters high above the projection room (in the queue). The sign pays homage to the Eeyore Parking Lot.
To watch some scenes from the opening ceremony:
Happy 19th birthday Indy!
Have you been on this attraction? If so, what is your favorite part or scene?
Thanks for reading and watching! Hope you all have a magnificent Monday!
