If anyone is current or former military have them book hotel and get tix on base it is much cheaper that way. If not if anyone has AAA they give discounts too and can do the character calls to tell the 3 year old. Bring your own snacks and bottled water. Get a locker to store your stuff while there it will save you from carrying your stuff all over. Research travel dates some will be cheaper then others. Good luck the planning is my favorite part. To save money, pack drinks, snacks, fruit. Food can get expensive....especially when you have a young one and they need a quick fix. We stay at the Tropicana hotel directly across the street from DL. We sometimes bring our own breakfast and eat before entering the park. we bring snacks and water in with us. Eat lunch in the park then about 4:00 we go back to the hotel for a little rest and then eat dinner outside the park, then head back in for the night. It really saves alot if you bring your own food/snacks and water into the park. we even brough lunch in with us once when we were there for 5 days. It worked really well.
